Dead Space's Pulse Rifle is supposed to be a military firearm, not a piece of mining equipment like the rest of the arsenal. Despite this, it still looks like chunky mining equipment.
As for gameplay, the idea and function of the secondary to fire 3 rounds in a 360 degree spinning spray is just silly. The idea of a military or some kind of police squad shooting everything around them is stupid. Even if you consider it being built specifically for a lone guy surrounded by a swarm of enemies, it has garbage coverage and almost never helps.
The only function it could possibly have would be Jonah and the Whale type situation.
Bethesda is fricking garbage. The Combat Shotgun in 3 is functionally fine, but the design is just stupid and has been described to death. The magazine is simply no where near the chamber/ejection port.
The FO4 """Assault Rifle""" has more problems than I could possible list, but the basics are it's way too fricking huge and is way too much of a mishmash of parts to be functional. If Todd had some balls and actually made it so some weapons could only be wielded by Power Armor I could start to excuse it, but even then they would have to be redesigned to drop some of the human-compatible compromises.
No clue what this is, but it's really front heavy since the main grip seems to be in the middle of the stock and the foregrip looks like it's right in the center, so the spikes and shit are all too far forward. The motorcycle throttle trigger is also silly and would make just holding it super awkward or a constant negligent discharge risk. Unless it's also some kind of mech or power armor weapon, it'd just be way too unbalanced.
Aside from hot wiring with Power Nodes, he doesn't seem to radically alter his weapons until DS3 where he's building his own custom guns. The DS1 Pulse Rifle, fresh from the CEC Vending machine, is designed for lethal umbrella death blossom mode by default.
Too many exposed open bits. If you used it outside it would probably break or short out real quick. The cheek rest seems to have a sling mount right where you'd put your face and just in front of that looks like some kind of wire coil that would probably heat up during so that wouldn't be very comfortable. The lattice in the grip would probably be really uncomfortable and the huge cable going to the base of the grip doesn't seem to do anything. Can't tell if under the barrel are supposed to be some kind of attachment system, but your off hand would probably also be really uncomfortable.
It's in a shitty middle ground between experimental prototype where you could excuse some poor designs and rule of cool space gun where it shouldn't have zip ties and isn't very refined and functional looking.
Take that over to the CoD: Vanguard gun autism thread. I wouldn't be surprised if that was an attachment option.
I always figured it was some kind of energy weapon and that 'shells' you eject only when you reload were some kind of solidified byproduct of the energy discharge.
There is a point where guns go so far into moronic they actually look good. Stuff like the Scattergun from TF2 or Chainsaw Bayonet from Gears of War look good because of how stupid they are while fitting with the setting. What you posted is an example of a stupid gun that is so stupid it looks fine. It looks like something someone slapped together in their basement.
>the idea and function of the secondary to fire 3 rounds in a 360 degree spinning spray is just silly. The idea of a military or some kind of police squad shooting everything around them is stupid.
maybe isaac modfied it?
but the pulse rifle is good though?
especially against swarm enemies.
and it's pretty good at severing limbs too so.
I don't see why you think it's bad.
why would k jerk off to a black kid shooting up a school, hospitalizing a teacher, putting a kid in a coma, and getting away with it because he's a drug dealing bully? or any shooting in general because regardless whether they're terror attacks or false flags they all get are guns, ammo, and rights taken away
I really don't understand what went wrong with Fallout 4 gun design and animations, in FO3 there were only a few weapons like the shotgun that seems fricked up. In FO4 you have shit like >assault rifle >pipe guns >all guns being left handed by design but used in the right hand >fricking ripper lost its blades
I remember a thread a while ago with a guy posting some really out there weapon renders he made in autocad or something but I can't seem to find any images
The sad thing is i didn't even need to look at the file name to know what you where talking about...
This will never be okay.
I refused to use this thing for looks alone
clearly meant to look like a water cooled machine gun and overall just chunky dogshit compared to pre-war weapons in previous games
heres a hardmode twist: actually explain whats wrong with the weapons as if to someone who knows nothing about guns. or a child
People think the sprinkler mode is silly
OP's talking about design and function not in actual gameplay
>design and function
It's future tech, you don't know how that works
yeah that's why I said the only real reason people dog on it is the sprinkler where as other guns like
people will shit on it for being stupid

DS2 made it so much better.
thanks, now what about these
Alright.

cool, thanks
i'll post some stuff i have, let me know if they're moronic or not
jesus, what isn't moronic about that thing? some bits are held on with zip ties for frick's sake
the zip ties are the best part

I forget, did the Bioshock Shotgun have the same drum attachment like the revolver did?

Posting destiny shit is cheating they are pretty much all terrible designs and the rest are bullpups

whats wrong with it? its my favorite weapon in both ds1 and 2
anything that is supposed to be some sort or rifle or longarm, but doesn't have a stock.
go jerk off to the latest school shooting Ganker gay
why would k jerk off to a black kid shooting up a school, hospitalizing a teacher, putting a kid in a coma, and getting away with it because he's a drug dealing bully? or any shooting in general because regardless whether they're terror attacks or false flags they all get are guns, ammo, and rights taken away

Always a classic to post picrel
what's wrong with this?
magazine
I assume the magazine size of 26
Sequel never.
I remember a thread a while ago with a guy posting some really out there weapon renders he made in autocad or something but I can't seem to find any images
anyone have those bizzare guns that dude made in CAD and posted here?
i thought they were cool
>tfw Ganker doesn't do fun stuff like this anymore, now it's all frogs and wojacks
kek, I forgot how bad this looked. it's like someone tried to draw an AK from memory having only seen one once
Someone post the guy whose body is a revolver, you know the picture.
Literally anything from Halo
