Though I have never played ORAS despite having intimate knowledge of it. Through my observations it looks like a real hit or miss game that includes all the ups and downs of both gen 3 and gen 6 so I'm sure that's good for some people.

I've been into """""cartoon children""""" for over half of my life at this point, anon, and not once have I felt even a spark of interest for real kids.
Yellow was just an upgraded version of Blue/Red, so it's the best. Never gave a shit about the other ones. Once they started adding 100 new Pokemons every version I stopped caring. And so should you.
Gen 1 was a mess
Gen 2, especially crystal is my favorite
Gen 3 was still good but not as good as gen 2, especially emerald because i love double battles
Gen 1 remakes were better than the original in every way except for a few music tracks
Gen 4 was in started noticeably declining, but id say it was still 'good' until switched to 3D and started focusing more on handholding and stories, and lacking in content
Gen 4 was when the gameplay really got into swing, but between the engine being slow as frick and how awful base DP looked I can understand pegging it as the start of the decline.
That said there's no excuse for considering Platinum, HGSS, or any of gen 5 as "decline".
ok so in pokemon fire red you need 60 pokemont o unlock the national dex, does that mean you cant encounter any pokemon on the national dex before this?

Yeah, any cross-generation evolutions like Golbat to Crobat will fail unless your dex is upgraded.
