I'm not gaming as much as I used to because, 1, most new releases are lame and 2, my PC is too crappy to even launch the latest games and i'm not gonna buy new hardware with inflated prices, no thanks to the chinkoid virus.
I dont see how those things are necessarily comparable, only half of all video games even have a story. Video games are more of an activity than watching film or literature is.
24 is too old for it to be your only hobby, you losers. Nolifeing vidya is for childhood and highschool. After that, you should spend at most 2/3 hours of vidya after work, broken up by chores or other hobbies. Weekends dont count, ofc.
Theres no reason not to expand your retinue at this age. There are loads of great rhythm games, why not learn one, and then pick up a real instrument? Rock Band really did teach me the manual skills needed to play the drums, and know the keyboard one or even Rocksmith are still pretty worthwhile.

I started learning a year ago now I can play maple leaf rag at the original tempo. I'm 19 now and spend more and more time on piano rather than gaming.
If you didn't made a career out of playing video games so far, they are probably not worth your time anyway. Some old games still hold up, but modern gaming is just awful, and I don't have the willpower to search for a golden nugget in the ocean of shit.
