Well it's good on paper but they're not as cheap as they used to so it makes little sense to get it instead of Nvidia.
There was noise of CUDA running on AMD now with some emulation layer or something at high performance, if that still holds we might see more AMD adoption.
Their older cards that are cheap are good bang for the buck, like 6600
When I switched to 2070S in 2019 from HD7950, everything decided to just work.
Not talking about performance, just the fact that everything just worked.
I suddenly stopped having issues with reshade, 3rd party programs, even MSI Afterburner/RTSS.
One of these you're gonna have to start learning shit and do your own fricking research, you know that right? Are you going to make threads on Ganker about how to live your life in 10 years? You really enjoy "living" like that, just wallowing in total ignorance?
>lives perpetually online >incapable of differentiating between memes and reality >too lazy to educate himself about basic hardware/software/use cases >will inevitably make another thread blaming Ganker for whatever perceivable negative outcome
The vicious cycle of the zoomer.
Look buttholes, I've been perfectly happy on console for the past 20 years, but you PC poindexters keep bothering me to switch to PC. So you'd better also do my research for me or shut your fricking mouths.

Trust me I speak from experience
If your buy AMD you will have random things not work as you expect for random reasons
You will have to keep playing driver version lottery
don't know what amd did with the 24 drivers, but they fricked up extremely. ever since i updated to 24.1.1 i had micro-stutterings in games and in browser use, with 24.2.1 they go mostly away but then i got random black-screens for like 2-3 seconds. 24.3.1 still had micro-stutterings in browser use, so after this i was tired of this random bullshit and ddu the driver and went back to 23.11.1, which i know worked perfectly fine for me. now micro-stutters are gone and i didn't had any random blackscreens anymore.
like he said, it feels sometimes you play lottery with amd drivers, as long the drivers work, don't update!

im not op, but im a zoomer and ill come clean, I really dont know much about pc specs, like which gpu, cpu, ram etc is better and why & so on, is there something you can tell me to help me out? I would use google but theres so many sites im not really sure which readings I can trust. You can also point me in the right direction where to research
There's https://www.cpubenchmark.net/ that also has links at the top to other hardware. If you mean problems they're talking about, it's word of mouth so look at reviews or forums? There's a Ganker thread for PC building with FAQs in its OP
For noob gauids Id recommend watching daniel owen on youtube. What PC fits you really depends on what you want to do with it and how much you want to spend. Nit gonna write a novel here

By reviews I meant confirmed owners on Amazon/Newegg, not "reviewers"
From my experience amd cpus and gpu won't last a year or would last two at most. Yet I still have a 2015 laptop with a gtx running strong to this day.
Amd is cheaper for a reason
amd is only competitive for poverty gaming like if you have $300 to your name and you just want something that can run most of the recent slop acceptably

I don't think choosing AMD over Nvidia really matters unless you play new games on release day all the time.
>bugs
>bad colors
>high temperature
What do you mean bad colors? Isnt same settings = exact same graphics? Have I been scammed by Mommy Lisa?

The israelites will find you and they will rape your little boi pussi
In exchange you will be able to run most games smoothly at 2k resolution

But I'm doing that right now, I'm researching Ganker's opinion.

G-Gomen console chad sama..

its basically just a pick of what color you prefer

CPU Benchmark is infamous for heavy anti-AMD bias
Uhh... nevermind. I mistook it with Userbenchmark.

Okay thanks

Why would you buy a previous generation card?
because the RX 7700 and the 7600 XT are terrible
And I doubt OP could go for 7800 XT, 7900 GRE or XTX
define a meme.

Amd is cheaper for a reason
Windows=NVIDIA
Linux (Wayland specifically)=AMD
Simple as.
amd is only competitive for poverty gaming like if you have $300 to your name and you just want something that can run most of the recent slop acceptably
This. I own a GTX 1060 3GB and I know in my heart that it's faster and better than an RX 7900 XTX. AMD is for poorgays.
