>waste time and effort on those fricking dialogue scenes but have janky animations and the mc is a mute with no voiced lines while everybody talks
fricking larian is using it as a tech demo
They wanted the funding before the game was released and they got it. They can just take their time with the game now and nobody can do anything about it. For what it was though I enjoyed EA
The funny thing is that the MC has several voice actors. Like, four i think? Couldn't pay those four frickers to read the same lines, Larian?
I disagree that the game is "already dead" (impatient dumbasses who still don't know how to wait for a video game to release report in) but there are definitely questionable choices being made with development
Also frick anybody that wants perfect cutscenes with no visual glitches in an open beta, "muh immersion", fricking laugh because it's fricking funny and doesn't break your game, there's more important shit to work on first
I genuinely don't understand why people give a shit about modern crpgs.
They're all terribly written messes heavily influenced by current year garbage that's already everyine in tabletop gaming, with shit characters and shit stories, and the only things that they seem to have improved compared to the older stuff in the genre are combat and graphics.
also the thing i like the most is the level design. it feels a lot like a tabletop game where combat is infrequent, and instead the focus is on traversing the environment.
>40 hours
Idunno about that. I just played through the act 1 in 10 hours. I didn't skip through the dialogue and I believe that I did all of the content.
>I didn't skip through the dialogue and I believe that I did all of the content.
You did all of the overworld and all of the underdark in just 10 hours? That seems really unlikely
>Throughout the main campaign, all companions are open to romance from all other characters, and senior writer Adam Smith is looking to create more complex relationships, with the help of Dungeons & Dragons lore to mess with the players’ heart strings. >“So, Liselle, she’s the Githyanki. And Githyanki don’t really do monogamy,” Smith told VG247. >“So if you sleep with Liselle one night at camp, the next night you might well just find her sleeping with somebody else. And she’s going to be like, ‘oh, that was a bit of fun, wasn’t it? How are you doing?’ And you’re just like, ‘oh!’ Heartbroken!”
BG3: >bastardized admixture of 5e and Divinity ruleset >levels 1-12 only >missing core classes, of those that exist, missing kits - who knows when/if they'll add them >themepark (MMO-like) world design, the entire world consists of large levels you progress through
Wrath of the Righteous: >tries to be faithful to the ruleset, bugs aside >levels 1 to 20, plus mythic paths >has all the core classes, kits and then some >actual overworld you traverse through
Why are these decadent Western pigs so lazy? Frick Larian
Cause it could be so much better. The level range and the insultingly idiotic instance-like design of the world are the biggest offenders. >BG1 had low level caps also
Because they spent most of the time building the engine and that's evidenced in all subsequent Infinity Engine games having expanded level ranges. Larian doesn't need to do that.
>Half
The only ones that don't work are Skald and Aeon path. Even if we accept the "half" hyperbole, it's still more working classes (heh) than BG3's lmao
>The only ones that don't work are Skald and Aeon path.
This is a lie, there are a shitton of things that don't work besides that. Tons of kineticist shit doesn't work, GD doesn't have the half dragon form, lots of barbarian features don't work, racial boosts to stats don't always work, mounted combat is still mostly broken so Cavaliers and all archetypes don't work.
And that's just what I know from personal playing.
Why do you even want sharpshooter? Just play a ranged rogue. You can do so much more than just damage and unlike a fighter archer you can move away with a bonus action rather than be fricked or using more resources than you have to.
literally the game is already ded, hasen't even had mods since the last patch, RIP
They need to get the sex scenes done first to bring us back
You means there's no sex scenes? garbage game, literally unplayable.

>the mc is a mute with no voiced lines while everybody talks
That's how it always should be.
in this game, it's jarringly out of place
The funny thing is that the MC has several voice actors. Like, four i think? Couldn't pay those four frickers to read the same lines, Larian?

Did I missed something? I thought this game is still in the development.
its early access.
So, why are you shilling it now, Black person?
No
yes, it's basically DOS3 but with a 5e ruleset. You can easily get 40+ hours out of the available areas if you do everything.
also the thing i like the most is the level design. it feels a lot like a tabletop game where combat is infrequent, and instead the focus is on traversing the environment.

i never played the previous ones. which is the best, 1 or 2?
Play both, but don't expect BG3 to be the same kind of game, totally different. See
I'm not considering it done for another two years.
>EA
>Hotfix
wtf?
They do the bare minimum to the EA, I think they have a skeleton-crew doing fixes, the rest are clearly working on the main game.

WOTR has 4 cuckold romances
BG3 has 1
4 > 1.
once again, BG3 wins.
Got woke went broke. Frick those buck devs
BG3:

Why are you c**ts always taking sides? Both are great games, I just don't understand it.
These Black folk can only think in absolutes. Keep enjoying vidya anon.
Cause it could be so much better. The level range and the insultingly idiotic instance-like design of the world are the biggest offenders.

Half the classes in WOTR don't work, and the encounter design and level design is shit. It also feels written like a marvel movie.
>Half

Forgot Loremaster, that shit's busted too

>The only ones that don't work are Skald and Aeon path.
That's complete bullshit, there are so many class features in WOTR that aren't working.
>
i can look at the WOTR forums right now and find 50 abilities that don't work on the first page of the bug report forum
>overworld
The game is a bunch of flat squares connected by loading screens. That's not a positive.
The game is not out yet.
Yes, comfy as frick but it is still in early stages. It is the one year anniversary soon so hopefully they have a big update planned.
Also, Shadowheart is best girl.
I thought her voice would be more refined.
Is it full of shitty woke shit like Pathfinder?
sharpshooter or polearm mastery feat when
Why do you even want sharpshooter? Just play a ranged rogue. You can do so much more than just damage and unlike a fighter archer you can move away with a bonus action rather than be fricked or using more resources than you have to.
Don't know anon. Can you use magic now or do you still need to take a nap everytime you cast a fireball?
it's a dnd game. spells aren't unlimited unless they are a cantrip. seethe.
