  1. People mistake Gatekeeping as preventing people to play or enjoy a game/series, when in reality is to prevent people who know nothing about the game/series to talk and discuss about the game/series without the barest minimum of knowledge about it

Exclusivity is not bad for any hobby or interest. Only women give a shit about "gatekeeping" because they are herd animals and can’t bear being on the outside of something mainstream. Things become cool because they have a bar for entry, with games that was basic motor skill and basic computer literacy. As they become more mainstream the bar for entry lowers, then people who don’t understand or respect the medium start creating content for it. This results in a 2021 situation in which every AAA game is mass produced, bland, politically correct rubbish.

If women had been "gatekept" out of gaming we’d still have games with Far Cry 2 quality narratives and tone. Instead they are all colorful and wacky, they all have more than 50% female enemies and NPC’s and nearly all the main characters are women. Even in settings where it makes no fucking sense, like medieval Britain or violent criminal street gangs. It will pass just like every other shitty entertainment fashion but god damn it is so fucking annoying and stupid.

  3. Only bugmen use terms like "gatekeeping". there is nothing wrong with preserving something that is sacred to you. The entire meaning of "gatekeeping" from ancient times was that of defending yourself from invaders.
    So fuck you trannies.

  4. I keep hearing the word "gatekeeping" thrown around. But how would one go about doing such a thing?
Just stop certain people from buying a game?

    • You tell scrotes that your favourite game is trash and they shouldn’t play it and then you tell Ganker it’s the best game
