Not even close
considering grim dawn is shit, yes
Why do you think it's bad?
cuz its shit
>this game is bad
>why is it bad?
>because it's bad
opinion discarded
yeah figure it out moron
it's
>le bad
I'm not any of the guys you are arguing with, but Grim Dawn is bad because 90% of the game is fricking boring as shit until everything comes fully online and you enter late-late game.
There's a reason why it's nicknamed Grim Yawn.
Most builds can get going before you even get to the expansions
The only exception is if you're doing some niche ass damage conversion reliant shit
moron
no
grim dawn is kino
I like them both.
Just a different type of apple.
Grim Dawn is build autism fest
Last Epoch is Diablo 3.5
diablo 3.5 sounds better than diablo 4.
it's more like diablo 2.7 (which is good)
>build autism
Weird way to spell Path of Exile. Grim Dawn has a lot of beginner-friendly builds and you can complete all story content on Ultimate without a hyper minmax'd build.
maybe I'll give it a pirate
i went merchant's guild, which i think was a mistake. The grind to get useful abilities to buy shit is beyond annoying.i'm level 70, i'm told it's gonna be till like level 100 before i can pick up exalted items, not even the legendary shit with extra bonuses.
Merchants guild is bad since you still rely on RNG but you don't get buffs. Like you need a ton of money to buy the good and popular gear but that means you need to get drops that are worth something to sell in the first place to keep up in price inflation. Just in the past couple of days I've seen a belt I wanted explode in price faster than I can grind gold. The incentive structure currently leaves you fricked in people won't bother selling stuff for off meta builds because theres no money and the meta stuff will be out of your reach unless you get valuable drops which means you're relying on rng which raises the question why not just do CoF then. Its made worse in that you can't get mid-late game gear when you need it because you need to grind so much to be able to buy it.
I went CoF myself, but I saw people saying MG was worth going if your build was off-meta but not completely niche
>Tencent degeneracy
>Pozzed
>Gender-locked classes in 2024
>MTX store during early access
>Unstable servers
>Classes are more unbalanced than in D4
Yeah, it's slop gaming time.
Haven't played last epoch but grim dawn sucks, so I suppose that yes.
Since this is the ARPG thread, I will vent. I hated the new Grim Dawn update trying to turn it into Dark Souls. Hope they at least bring an option to bring back the original gameplay.
>I hated the new Grim Dawn update trying to turn it into Dark Souls. Hope they at least bring an option to bring back the original gameplay.
What ??
They added a "dodge roll" mechanic and tonics now works as estus flasks. Also, other minor changes like reserve mana buffs being constant on
Frick me I have to see this.
Thank you man.
>What build ?
I just picked a rogue and a bow and I was spamming flurry but it felt like it took a long time to kill enemies and also I didn't really have an auto attack and I was spamming Q and the other spells and none of em depleted my mana ?
I don't know, I didn't die or anything but I felt like I was playing the game wrong.
Flurry is pretty meh because in early game because you can't really mow down a lot of enemies with it. But as soon as you get Puncture, you will be rolling through everything with ease, especially if you go 2 points into Perforate -> 2 points into Press The Attack. Then you're just blasting packs down super easily with 0 mana cost.
And after that you basically just take everything that goes into bleed.
Will try that thank you bro.
Frick me I'll have to reinstall I wanna see this. Do we have a release date for the next expack ?
Don't think so. But I'm hyped. There will be a new harder difficulty. But you can skip elite now and probably most of ultimate with the expansion so it's not too bloaty.
But Anon I WANT the bloat.
Well, in that case you will be able to play through four difficulties with the new expansion act. If that's the kind of bloat you're after... There is also the grim dawn season mod if you haven't tried it. I played their new act and it was solid, sometimes a little janky.
>Well, in that case you will be able to play through four difficulties with the new expansion act. If that's the kind of bloat you're after...
That's absolutely what I'm gonna do.
I'm so fricking autistic about cleaning maps non stop.
I understand thanks for the infos bro.
They added a small dodge ability that everyone gets at lvl 1. Everyone already had at least one bigger dodge from runes but it does give a lot of classes more flexibility. They made it so you have infinite potions, which was already effectively the case after the first hour or two. The potion change is good because you don't have to clear your inventory of the stacks of potions you randomly pick up anymore. They made lots of other changes, including QOL changes like autopickup for components, and always-active buffs (a great change imo because nobody was sitting around with inactive buffs). So I would say Anon is overreacting.
The dodge is pretty much irrelevant at endgame, booted up my old characters after the change and they play the same. Early game it helps get out of death puddles I guess but its just a movement button not iframes.
except it actually does have iframes
Last ipwiener
grim YAWN
Yes. Its also better than D4 and PoE.
Still mogs them
TQ2 soon I hope
It's called Grim Dawn.
No they actually are making TQ2
eeeeer no, sister. That's the new game by Grimlore announce in the heat of the hate for Diablo IV same with the Grim Dawn new expansion.
God I hope it's good.
Is it true you can actually give yourself like 50k ward with sentinel's healing hands now?
What ARPG should I play if I never look up builds or trade with other players
Last Epoch is literally built in a way that you can play it completely blind. The only thing that's permanent is the mastery choice(sub-class) which happens between level 16-20. Everything else can easily be changed.
I played only an hour but if you could answer these few questions for me I would be grateful :
Is it normal that my PC is dying when I try to play it ? I switched from 4K to 1440p but then it was still really heavy for my PC.
Is it normal that enemies deal a lot of damage but I don't ? It felt way harder than any other HnS except Titan Quest which is hard as frick for the first few lvls but Diablo Grim Dawn and Torchlight are all easy as frick for a little bit.
Last Epoch felt hard from the very beginning.
Was I doing something wrong ?
>Is it normal that my PC is dying when I try to play it ? I switched from 4K to 1440p but then it was still really heavy for my PC.
The game is very unoptimized and two identical PCs can have wildly different performances. I don't know what the frick is up with that. The game also has a memory leak, so performance will tank after like 5-6 hours and needs a restart.
>Is it normal that enemies deal a lot of damage but I don't ? It felt way harder than any other HnS except Titan Quest which is hard as frick for the first few lvls but Diablo Grim Dawn and Torchlight are all easy as frick for a little bit.
I haven't seen anyone complain about campaign difficulty, except for the end bosses, so I don't think so. What build were you playing?
if you think its a hard game then thats pretty wild to hear because the general consensus is that its too easy.
Weird. I finished TQ, Torchlight, GD and D2 on hardcore.
I probably just fricked up somewhere, I'll have to give it another try.
it's only "difficult" (more "tedious") in the first couple hours. the early game balance is terrible, you only get a single target skill that does no damage for a long time, and no sustain with mobs smacking you. by the time you have an AoE skill with a developed skill tree and picked up enough junk to slap some mods on your gear it's unfortunately easy all the way lv100.
>running my own necro minion build
>my friend tells me to try out blood rip golem endgame build because it's "so freaking powerful you don't have to do shit"
>blind golem runs around barely grabbing aggro
>keeping up curses and dread wraith and blood ripping is not fun
>die more than I ever have up to that point
im gonna kill my friend.
>reading guides
>playing other peoples builds
I will never understand you people. You have brains and imagination, be creative. People who read online guides also let their gfs and wives get fricked by other men, seriously cuck behavior.
Grim dawn's problems were bad graphics (understandable), bad art direction, maps that were a pain to navigate, and no movement skills. Im still happy it was made
grim dawn has more interesting ideas, but its lacking in a lot of areas.
last epoch is simply "decent" at basically everything. yes it says a lot about our society that thats all it takes to be one of the best games going in a genre.
>reach endgame after 20 hours of a completely incomprehensible campaign
>options are to do it again on a different character or grind the mind numbing monoliths
I uninstalled. Shits been in early access for like 6 years and this is all they have?
the end game is significantly worse and builds in last epoch are basic so any noob can play
It's not even better than Wolcen.
>already dead
PoE won
>PoE won
PoE players lost.
Last Epoch - 24 hour peak: 226,133 concurrent players.
Yeah bro, definitely dead.
absolutely. Grim Yawn is a snorefest
>path of exile
>need a phd in autism just to build a character
>basically unfun shit because you constantly run the risk of bricking your character/gear
no thanks autists
It's the best arpg out currently so yeah
I’m having a blast playing a beast master. Pirated a copy and being able to play offline is so fricking nice.
