Only because of their DRM free stance, and as shown by the latest Hitman debacle, their definition of "DRM free" seems to be very malleable.
I'll just keep using it exclusively for old singleplayer games that never had online features in the first place.
>GOG doesn't have games with DRM >Hitman 2016, although technically playable offline, has all single player progression locked behind online checks >GOG page doesn't mention this >Many GOG users feel that the game shouldn't be on GOG in its current state
Hitman 2016 is one of my favorite games, but I hate the online bullshit with burning passion. I refuse to buy the sequels because they still have the moronic online shit in them.
It still has the same old always-online progression system which all unlockables and alternative game modes are locked behind of.
You can still play the main story missions offline, but with default loadouts and starting positions only, so there's none of the replayability the game is known for.
Their only response so far has been "we're aware of the issue but pls don't review bomb because of it".
Nah at least steam is straight forward about their goals instead of pretending to be consumer friendly
*crickets*
>apologizes for promoting Postal 2
>apologizes for misusing troony hashtag
>sells DRM games while advertising no DRM
>sells shitman 2016 with DRM and defends IOI by deleting negative reviews under the "review bombing" excuse
Yeah yeah CDPtroony, kys.
In english, doc?
>claims to be DRM free
>throws a shitfit when people get upset about releasing DRM laden hitman
It's the only store I buy PC games from. Gonna get an xbox soon for the games that aren't released on GOG.
You should get that moronation checked out.
Not my fault that all games aren't released on gog. I am not gonna log in to play single player games.
>soon
still waiting on a miraculous series x restock right? not gonna happen homie.
The funny thing is that the no-DRM thing doesn't matter when Steam DRM can be cracked in 5 minutes by anyone.
thanks for the free games, fellow europeans!
Frick off, shill.
Daily reminder to frick cedep and pirate gogshit.
Cheaper than steam for me so I'm giving them my money :^)
Doesn't have achievements or track playtime so I'm not using it 🙂
it does on gog galaxy, moron.
Did anything come out of the htiman outrage yet?
I want them to kneel and apologize just like an american would to a jogger.

* doesnt exist on other platforms *
They've been fricking up recently (Hitman 2016) but they're still miles ahead of Steam thanks to no forced launchers.
Can I get a quick rundown on the whole Hitman thing?

IOI are fricking morons and I will never ever pay for a single title they make.
Pirate version is literally the best version with a 100% save.

Why?
GOG's library infrastructure isn't that great though.
>buy deluxe edition of any game on GOG
>standard edition, expansions and extra content still appear as if (You) didn't already had them.
>purchase a GOG classic
>still have to find and download community patches from the internet
