Too bad the genre is inherently terrible
hes a boomer, what do you expect, he was so mad at his grandpa for making him be the heir of his miltimillion yen company that he pissed on his legacy, to fantastic directions admittedly, but the spite seemed wholely unwarranted and kind of typical of entitled boomer shits. .
This was just him seething at squeenix because they recommended to him to use a disc format for N64 and he didn't listen and demanded it be cartridge based
Snoy likely never gets the stranglehold on the industry it did (though ironically has since now entered a point they're in danger of losing to Nintendo) if this dumb frick wasn't obsessed with the 2% lost sales due to piracy and was willing to match the policies of Sega and Sony for cost to publishers to sell games.
If Iwata hadn't managed to find 3 blue ocean markets (the switch format likely being the last format Nintendo will ever do unless Sony drops out of manufacturing) the Nintendo would have gone the way of Sega thanks to Yamauchi's decisions
I enjoyed thsi game but some of the act bosses are so fricking tanky and take so god damn long to beat, it's just demoralizing any time I lose to one and know I would have to do the 45 minute battle again. Is there any JRPG that doesnt do this?
Claude was the second path boss I fought (Harvey first) and I skipped all of his add phases by hitting him for 70% of his life with a juiced OTM. I was not overleveled in the slightest as I ignored the west continent character stories entirely.
I only discovered he had add phases from screenshots in threads, and wondered why Throne got a clone ability from the fight.
Imagine a horse at a race collapsing at the finish line. But it's not just completely exhausted, it has actually died. Now the horse won't move anymore. It's position in the race is forever determined. It's like the position of the horse is now immutably fixed. This is the final state the horse can/could ever be in. The horse deadass can not run any more races. There is finality to it that other qualifiers don't communicate. It's like
There is a finality to a dead ass that a regular ass fails to provide
Xenogears is indeed my favorite RPG and maybe my all time favorite game. However, Octopath 2 was still pretty good and a net positive for gaming. I didn’t beat Galdera in Octo 2 though 🙁
You cannot convince me that you had fun with Xenogears and were also older than 14 when you played it. There is 0 depth to any of the RPG systems and every fight is completely trivial except for the occasional super annoying bullshit fight.
I love the style and world and story but come on even just the jumping sections should be enough to make you ask why they didn't hire like a single game designer. I played it recently and I was honestly jealous of my gf who was playing pokemon on her switch because even a baby game like that has deeper combat than fricking Xenogears.
>but that finale is the best of the 8 routes
not really, the final song is good but in terms of atmosphere and final boss Osvald's, Hikari's and Partitio's are better
Throné's also a tier above
The only one of those I'd agree with is Osvald, and that's mainly because I grew attached to the old bastard since I chose him as my main. I also got particularly invested in his story because of how much of an absolute dick Harvey was.
Yeah, pretty much everything is fixed in the sequel. You still have eight stories, and you have to pick a character as your main, but they intertwine far better than the first game's tepid story.
The stories have clearer connections and you have two character story quests between the solo quests. The final act is actually a story where all of the characters participate instead of a lore dump this time. Though the lore dump in 1 was still kino.
>8 stories of people who barely interact or say anything when its not their active chapter
Who likes this? I could understand if each story/character had a unique party, but the idea you get all these people and they don't feel like a real JRPG party is wild to me.
I like it more than I ever thought I would. Having shorter personal stories of different things happening in the world at the same time converging at various points removes a lot of the things I dislike about JRPGs. I really don't like the ever-growing bench of playable characters who are all supposedly important but rarely get enough focus, I don't like the writer's pet butting into stories they shouldn't be a part of, and I don't like how side characters are an afterthought since the main party is made up of every important person in the setting. All of those issues aren't present in OT. Every character has their own story focus, none of them step on each other's toes, and the side characters have to do a lot of heavy lifting so the npc cast is decently fleshed out. The stories also don't have to take up the entirety of the run time so pacing is better. Recognizing how the stories weave together into a larger conspiracy is kino. Stuff like a boss in chapter 1 of one character's story being a monster wrapped in ripped inquisitor's robes has a lot more meaning when the game stealthily lays out an answer for you later if you're paying attention to every story.
TL:DR: I love world mysteries and personal stories. OT is exactly what I want.
>and the side characters have to do a lot of heavy lifting so the NPC cast is decently fleshed out
I really like that every NPC has a mini bio for you to analyze and they all try to say something interesting or tell a small story. Many of the main side characters also get some closure to their story arc in the post-final-chapter quests. And EVERYONE shows up in the epilogue for a final word.
most people are too stupid to have noticed this. Most don't even realize that the dark hunter was the beast you fight at the post-game either judging by how often people b***h that she "died offscreen".
I think most people are aware. What they mean by her dying off screen is that we never personally meet her before her transformation
Its more like the cutscene clearly states she is making the CH4 boss eat her as sacrifice to turn off the flame, and in Ori's journal she mentions another beast she had to guard the flame, so people assume she dies in the flashback and you fight this other beast in the extra chapter.
Regardless, with how much the Ochette story build her up, it was still lame we didnt actually met her

One of the things I like about the OT stories is how things are happening all over the continent without needing every important character present. The conspiracies happening in the background are cooler to piece together than the gaggle of nakama showing up just in time to beat the bad guy at the exact point they're about to win, beating them in a boss fight, but still losing because their plan was complete ad nauseum. Unless a character is on their trail it's unlikely they'd catch them in time to stop them anyway.

Perhaps, but i think they built up the dark hunter too much for not a direct confrontation. Also, something i realize now. >Kill Cateracta >Fails to kill Tera and runs like a b***h >Has to bring people to Glacis and even then, she only breaks her eggs.

Compare that shit to the other main villains and yeah, she does look kinda pathetic >Oboro
Like the second smartest dude in Solistia after Oswald and Harvey, can make nations rise and fall in a few weeks with his schemes, literally suceeded in his plan but still got stopped through the power of EIGHT homies in a row and was so smart Jigo could have killed him for trying to assassinate him but instead got him a job >Roque
Came from nothing, worked backbreaking labor every day and single handeldly made his way to the absolute top. Establishes a continent-wide company that would make Rockefeller look like a small fry in comparison, has an absolute market monopoly, could have controlled literally every nation, country and company if partitio didnt buy the steam engine rights, and even then, he already knew to diversify his portfolio by r&d-ing into military machines >Dolcinea
Same as Roque, came from literally nothing and now is the most famous person in all of solistia. Can make masses attend to her every wim, orders around her bosses like theyre insects, so good at her job shes compared to her fricking patron goddess >Trousseau
Would have wiped out entire cities had he not been stopped, Castti is the only one who could have made a cure because of her know-how as an apothacery and what ingredients you need to use, casually invaded a royal castle during its most important event in years and has a cool fricking outfit >Claude
Been alive for eons, so powerful hes inteded as a vessel for a dark God but goes "frick that" and does his own thing. Suicidal but not in a homosexual way, loves his children while also rooting the weeds, arguably has the biggest charisma in all of Octopath(Or Marietta was a prostitute) and literally won. No ifs and buts, he triumphed over everyone. He got his happy ending, no matter what could have happened

Smartest dude probably in OT as a whole together with Oswald, everything in the game depended on his cooperation with the Moonshade order. He was the only one who could make the book of demons, and if thats not enough, he also unlocked the literal 7th source, the ONE TRUE MAGIC. Tortured Ochettes not-chosen pet for shits and giggles and it could do nothing against it despite being more powerful than 3 legendary beasts and 3 protectors of the island together. He has such a raging fricking hateboner for Oswald the both of them endured countless unthinkable hardships and achievements in their quest to overthrow the other, and still, not the 2 immortals living for eons already, not the master of manipulation that overthrows nations as the setup to his actual plan, not even Roque who is a lite version of him can compare to the actual God among men that is Harvey
Save for the one man he hates the most and who was defeated by him

Combat banter does a lot to make them feel like part of a cohesive party. Plus I'm used to JRPGs where everyone besides the main character and maybe the waifu are irrelevant to the story.
I feel like when I read posts like these, I am confused what JRPGs you people play. What JRPG has a party that has actual conversations with each other? 90 percent of them have half the characters become irrelevant or exposition dumps.
If you're not watching the skits you're playing Tales wrong. That's the saving grace of the series. The characters all have plenty of screen time and fun interactions. Tales games never have good story and the gameplay is copied and pasted with minor adjustments every game (I still enjoy the combat, though, even in Arise where you just REIGNING SLASH the entire game).
>What JRPG has a party that has actual conversations with each other?
i love the tales of series because the banter is so much more constant, and also the kiseki series
Its going to depend on your gameplan but using the build i copied to beat the superboss
Osvald: E.Atk
Hikari: P.Atk and HP
Throne: SPD and P.Atk
Rest is whatever.
You either use them to make characters stronger in the stats they're already strong in, or to boost up lagging stats if you're using a character in a role their stats aren't suited for (like if you were doing magic Hikari or whatever)
dont use them. Just dont. Youll need to use the nuts for the extra battles against Vide(both). It made my battles with him significantly easier and harder when I could turn Agnea into a physical damage king by giving her armsmaster and killing everything in one turn with her latent and lionhearts axe
apart from speed nuts, give all of them to throne
It's not a hatedom. It's just a very mediocre game that has been pushed extremely hard by tendies when it released because it was the only JRPG they had at the time
Bravely Default 2 was extremely forgettable and it's still better than either OT
You say that as if Xenoblade Chronicles 2 hadn't already released on the Switch by then. It might be the worst Xenoblade game and a huge downgrade from X, the best Xenoblade game, but it sold millions anyways.
bro, Bravely default 2 is objectively bad at every single aspect of it's game. it has shit graphics, shit story, shit gameplay, shit characters, and super shit combat. It was like someone described Bravely default to some chinks who didn't even speak the same language as the person describing the game, and they did their best to copy it but none of them has ever seen a computer before. There's no defending that game and the fact that you're trying to gives me second hand embarrassment just from seeing your posts, like "i post on the same board as troglodytes like this?"
It sucks how poorly Bravely transitioned from the 3DS. I was really looking forward to BD2 since I liked the 3DS entries but after OT1 the combat flow felt worse than I remembered. That's a problem I'd have going back to any of the three but BD2 looked like ass and had no personality so I dropped it pretty early into the game. It had the same vibes as all of those PS1 JRPGs that fell off when they tried to move sequels to the PS2.

The brave system is better than standard 4homies gameplay but the boost/break system is so much better. It gave the devs a lot more to work with in boss design which is the highlight of OT. Going back to brave is like playing an SMT game without the press turn system. It's still good but you know there's something better.
>it has shit graphics
They both look like shit but at least BD2 has more effort put in than just >2d with backgrounds layered in vaseline + max bloom, particles and 200x lighting >shit story
Delusional. Not a single OT story is good >shit gameplay
The gameplay is good on both games. >shit characters
BD2 mogs too. The characters actaully have stuff happen to them and they interact with each other.
The only interesting character in OT is Partitio. >super shit combat >can't think of anything else so I'm just going to repeat my argument with a different word

BD2 biggest fault is being forgettable. OT biggest fault is being forgettable AND shit.

I dunno bro I loved the 3ds bravely games but I can't remember any part of bd2 story meanwhile I can still remember all the stories from octopath traveler 2.
bd2 was just forgettable in gameplay and story and before you say I forgot becuase octopath 2 released a couple of years after bd2 no actually I can still remember the stories of bd1, bravely second and octopath 1
I never played Octopath 2 but the best parts of the first game was the battle themes, voice acting and the 2D-HD. Then they made a dozen games in 2D-HD and it lost all novelty.
I can't find a used copy anywhere even at my local pawn shop where manage to get Gravity Rush 2 for $20 when it's almost $100 online now, I couldn't even find it at gamestop.
2DHD is a cheap and gross graphical style that I wish would die but it doesn't look like it will. moronic normies are completely taken with it even though they don't even finish any of the games.
It's fun but I wish the characters interacted more with each other, the second game is better in that regard but it's still lackluster and I wanted more. Gameplay-wise I have no complaints, both games were fun all the way through. Something that these games do and I wish more RPG bothered to do is flesh out the random NPC characters giving them brief descriptions that make them feel more like actual people instead of random merchants or filler. It's nothing crazy given all of them have one or two paragraphs at most but still, I appreciated the effort.
I feel like the game so far is inferior to the first one in many ways. I'm only 6 hours in, however.
The music and characters aren't as strong or memorable. I doubt any of the characters will be comparable to Olberic, Primrose or Ophelia. And they didn't seem to improve upon any of the criticisms of the first game.
In terms of bosses there are even less than the first game, and if you thought the characters were somewhat basic in 1 then you're in for even simpler writing.
Game is great, I only wish that it wasn't so easy to chunk bosses for 50k 3 story chapters in. Hikari and Agnea are kinda lame though.
Music got better too.
I played the first game and found it pretty boring.
Probably because it felt like just a bunch of prologue stories one after another. I dropped it after getting the third or fourth character.
Is the 2nd game any different?
Washed up Smashtuber. He's likely chomping at the bits for the next Smash just so he can act like his basic b***h ass opinions and "I'm a black dude" humor is original and funny again.
Did this game have multiple writers? I can't imagine one person writing Agnea's Saturday morning cartoon story and then going straight into Throne's crazy dark one.
That's what makes Agnea's story great
Imagine having a party with Throne, Osvald, Castti and Agnea
Everyone is going through some immense trauma and Agnea is just attending a dance-off
And the shitty story, and the shitty implementation of the characters of the story in each other, and no party interaction in a JRPG, and zero challenge besides the 3 super bosses.
>and no party interaction in a JRPG, and zero challenge besides the 3 super bosses.
the rest of your post comes down to taste but quote related is simply objectively incorrect
The story one is actually the most factual one by far of all my statements, and denying it shows how much wiener you are sucking. You may find it enjoyable at best but do you even realize how much of an actual feat it would have been if some writer managed to create 8 incredible individual story arcs? These characters have no time to grow, side characters have no time in these stories to shine. The stories are all incredible formulaic basic stories you would find in a book with the name "8 exciting bedtime stories".
In other JRPGs the characters take on one grand adventure and grow in it, build relationships in it. Here it is alle shoehorned in very little time and then we go immediately to the next episode. Honestly, frick you for being such a lying little wienersucker. The format is the most ill suited for any good story and then you have some average video game writer go at it.
>The stories are all incredible formulaic basic stories
Most of those are, admittedly, but that's not the problem this game has when it comes to its narrative.
The vast majority of games have incredibly formulaic and basic stories, and these games' focus isn't really in the eight individual stories but how these eight stories put together create a bigger whole for the setting, which is what sets it apart from most RPGs out there.
The part where this game starts having problems is in how the narrative itself is constructed, but that has nothing to do with your statements, the game is simply unfocused and that's something you can say for most games out there, it's not a particularly damning flaw in itself either. >In other JRPGs the characters take on one grand adventure and grow in it, build relationships in it.
The same exact things happen in OT games through, in fact that's precisely one of the problems of the game, all of the eight characters follow the same exact narrative structure, which makes all the stories essentially the same despite the different backgrounds, the game doesn't capitalize at all on the narrative possibilities of the structures it insists on using.
Though again, it's something you can say for a lot of games, so no big deal at the end of the day.

Stories in games will never compare to books. You can’t be in the character’s head like you can in a book. Books also have multiple point-of-views for its characters in the story. This is why I started focusing on gameplay over story when it comes to video games.

Stories in games are better than in books with the caveat that they need to play up to the strengths of the medium. You can't do environmental story telling in books. In video games, the world you craft can play into the story organically without having to point any of it out. You can foreshadow things a lot more effectively with clever use of background elements than you can with just words on a page.

>Stories in games are better than in books
Post a single game that has a story as good as a book
It's a fine game, the characters and story are enough to keep you wanting to see what's next, and the standard JRPG combat holds up, but:
This is one extremely annoying side effect. I'm not sure if Octopath Traveler was the first to do it, but HD 2D detracts for me, and it outright looks bad in a lot of other games.
I've played many of them and it's in my top 5 for sure, perhaps even top 3. I can't quite say for certain whether I'd put it above DQXI or Chrono Trigger (if 3 homies in a row counts), but it's up there with them. Hell, I even liked it more than FF4 and FF6 as well as DQV and DQVIII.
Hello no. It's a grindy pile of shit that makes you use an unleveled cuck character every story, until the last few that you roflstomp from being overleveled.
Do zoomers really think the Octopath games are the pinnacle of jrpgs? I played both of them and they lack pretty much everything that made old school jrpgs enjoyable while maintaining many of the tedious traits of those games.
It's a really good job, party and combat system. It's still coming into It's own as a series but OT3 or 4 are on track to be the FFIV of the series now that OT2 has refined most the mechanics
A shame BD2 felt like a step back from Bravely Second, but imo it feels like that's due to Team Asano being more interested in the Octopath games
All right lads, im only missing the extra battles but im not really that instered in that. May try tomorrow to cheese them with the Galdera buster build. Game was Kino, amazing how improved on OT1 in almost every aspect.
>All right lads, im only missing the extra battles but im not really that instered in that. May try tomorrow to cheese them with the Galdera buster build >he thinks he can cheese the extra fights
Granted, the first 2 battles are easy as shit with max phy att hikari at 1hp, temenos and throne at night as merchants to break everyones shield with beastlings and agnea as inventor for 100% chance of critical damage, but the latter 2 are easily the hardest battles in the game. You cant cheese them, you actually need skill(and luck) to beat them
Agnea's story isn't cute. Not only is it boring as shit, the characters are insufferable and the dialogue is borderline is painful to read. Idk what the frick went wrong with that route.
I bet you hated Tressa's story too.
On the contrary. Tressa's story was actually cute. Because unlike Agnea, her story doesn't comes straight from an anime and Tressa isn't a western moron who thinks everything can be solved with the power of friendship and dancing.
Agnea is all about hardwork and becoming a guiding light for other people to follow.
She also beats up everyone except for Dolcinea since that fight is obviously an abstraction of what really went on.
It's at fault for introducing that "HD-2D" dogshit visual style to games. Fricking hate it it's so fricking ugly and it's raping the visuals of my favorite classic jrpgs like DQ3.
ragnarok was aesthetic kino born of falcom inspiration and co creation through gravity studios and nihon falcom
but it is not in any way a good game at all. the last good gravity game was arcturus.
I spent most of my childhood on the original iro servers. Any game where you can spend the majority of it playing another game because its all purposeless vague grinding isn't a fun game, and it does not hold even a candle to arcturus, a game you doubtless never even played even though the RO engine is an evolved version of it.

how good is the story truly? i know they were 100% influenced by xenogears but i remember trying it and it seemed really glitchy
Script each cutscene with places and movements for characters A/B/C/D. The lead character is A and plays through the cutscene as normal. B/C/D are your other party members. At certain points in the cutscenes there are moments for character B to interject and add something to the conversation. Sometimes it's just a shout of support for the lead char, or they may contribute something substantial if they can.
For example, in Tenemos chapter 2. At the start he enters the harbour and makes some statement about the town. Char B can then add their own opinon to compliment or contrast. If you have Castti, it prioritizes her to char B and she adds something extra since this is where she started.
In the scene where Tenemos inspects the corpse, you can just place the other party members in the crowd and Tenemos can talk to them for a one liner.
In the scenes with Crick, you don't need the other party members and can have them off shopping or whatever. Maybe they appear in the background exiting the inn and talking to each other.
So the other characters will still have absolutely zero agency? It's just a cosmetic presence? This doesn't seem any different to the bonus banter you can optionally listen to between characters
Who is the most fun character to start Octopath 2 with? I started with Ochette but didn't beat the game since some family stuff came up. Who should I start with this time?
Partitio and Agnea are the ones with most main character energy imo. From a gameplay perspective Osvald is probably the best.Ochette can also find weaknesses through her starting beast but that's a worse version than what osvald does. You might consider Hikari for that one quest where you have to solo a dungeon by yourself, since you can't switch main character until you're finished with its story.

Hikari cause if you know where to get good skills hes busted before you even completed all chapter 3s
Throne if you always want the night debuff and unlock aebers early which is a reliable nuke
Oswald if you wanna know weaknesses
Throne's last chapter was ridiculous and i liked it for that. Fighting a train was also great. Other than those moments the story was way too basic and sleep inducing. I think doubling down on the 8 separate stories hurt the story a lot. And it's clear that the guys could have written something much interesting had they not limited themselves like that. Wild arms did the separate path joining much better.
The battles system is good i guess. They did make random encounters more than mindlessly pressing attack. But there is still room for improvement.
I find it sad that paper mario is the RPG that did the most to modernize. Turn based battles. Timed attacks. Jumps working on some enemies but hurting you on others. Some times you have to combine hammer and jump. Your hero does not become one billion times more powerful by leveling. The defense stat actually feeling importan making powerful multi-hit attacks useless etc. Most turn based RPG are either not trying to improve the genre or when they are trying go to become action RPGs. No wonder people say the genre is dated.
There are 2 more games than there would be without them so it is a net gain for gaming. You should have asked if it was a net gain for gaming quality though.
I couldn't finish the first one
I made the mistake of picking the hunter lady and her voice lines were ridiculous
"Letten us beginnen" every single fight
Jesus Christ man
The JP voices in OT2 are so much better than the English dub it's unreal. And the English dub isn't even bad. They went all out with the talent for JP. Hikari being generic male Ghibli protagonist man elevated the character for me.
Octopath was a fricking terrible game and "2DHD" is a hideous art style. I am legit mad they convinced the DQ group to let them remake DQ3 in their disgusting sprites-with-3D-lighting scheme.
Literally the only decent thing about Octopath is the job system it stole from better games. It's an utterly incompetent title
It makes sense up until that point. It goes from a revenge story to whatever the frick the last parts of it were.
It was kind of obvious that Throne's final boss existed when you read Chapter 3F. The problem is that just like with Primrose, the writers just went full shitpost mode with how rushed the final chapter was.
>best game ever played
nice moron sign. it's like a 5/10 maybe if you're being generous. holy frick modern jrpgs are so garbage compared to 25 year old jrpgs
I was under the impression that the characters’ journeys would intertwine. Think like how FF VI has a large cast. They don’t all need to have a connection, but to be completely disjointed just felt like a borderline scam. And the stories themselves are just dull. I didn’t even like the gameplay enough to keep going.
The stories are connected because they all build up to the final confrontation against Galdera. For example, the owner of the book that Tressa carries is Redeye in Haanit's story. Who also happens to be the person that spurs Alfyn on his journey.
its not, its just that those plot threads only get revealed in the literal last place of the game. I hope Octopath 3 goes all in with out of context clues for future story revelations like Roi speaking in ochettes chapter 1

OT2 did enough to weave plots together without pointing at the connections too hard.
I've just started the first game and it has the cheesiest writing I've probably ever encountered. Maybe it's just par for the course for JRPGs because I don't usually play them, but holy frick these intro stories are so cheesy. I just picked up my sixth person and I've started just skipping their intro stories because they're so cliched.
Because the hread would have archives with 3 posts otherwise, for all the b***hing about twitter screencaps they still attract anons like shit to flies. Granted that is gossip in general.
because i dont fricking care what some literal whos opinion about a game is. If you wanna make a thread about Octopath, make a good post and engage with other anons by asking question and shit

Octopath 2 is incredible and everyone who likes it understands and enjoys videogames
Octopath 2 is incredible and everyone who hates it is a subhuman nitpicker with the attention span of a zoomie moron
I think the story still isn't there yet where it feels like a journey of 8 characters banding together who regularly interact but it's getting there and is a huge step over 1.
If they can really make the next game have more moments of characters taking serious parts in each other's stories I think it'll be perfect. In fact I feel like next game they should make the chapter 1 of every character just be about them, the chapter 2 be about them and one other companion, 3 them and two others, and 4 be about them and 3 others, and then a joint side quest (4 of these total) with them and the final companion Combine that with a global level up mechanic (and some slight level scaling in enemies) and I think it would actually feel like a band of 8 companions

Dead ass has shit taste. Barebones game
It's not barebones; it's just right.
Other RPGs are bloated and tedious.
Nah
Yeah
Too bad the genre is inherently terrible
Reminder he only said that after the two series that kept his platforms on top left the N64 behind. He never really cared about games, just profits, and this was OOC for him but he was really fricking mad.
Lol extreme cope
hes a boomer, what do you expect, he was so mad at his grandpa for making him be the heir of his miltimillion yen company that he pissed on his legacy, to fantastic directions admittedly, but the spite seemed wholely unwarranted and kind of typical of entitled boomer shits. .
Mario left the N64 behind?
Jrpgbros….
lmao he was so fricking mad that the playstation kicked his teeth in back then.
Yamauchi never said this, and there is no evidence that he even had this opinion on RPGs.
Cope
Even so, its true.
Is there any JRPG that doesnt do this?
most bosses are killable in 5-10 turns or less, you're doing it wrong
Anon you might be moronic, my biggest complaint with Octo 2 is that the end bosses were way too fragile and needed like double health
The first octopath traveler sucked and I'm not willing to give it a second chance
And this was one of the reasons
Shit take from shit channel about a shit series
Xenogears straight mogs this game. Square dead ass sucks now
What does dead ass mean
There is a finality to a dead ass that a regular ass fails to provide
Imagine a horse at a race collapsing at the finish line. But it's not just completely exhausted, it has actually died. Now the horse won't move anymore. It's position in the race is forever determined. It's like the position of the horse is now immutably fixed. This is the final state the horse can/could ever be in. The horse deadass can not run any more races. There is finality to it that other qualifiers don't communicate. It's like
said.
Xenogears sucks. It's just Hegelian autism with a Gundam space opera coat of paint. I fricking hate Hegel and Gnosticism in general so much bros.
The Weltall is a sick looking mech though.
finally found the one person that shares my opinion.
Elaborate dear anon
Xenogears is indeed my favorite RPG and maybe my all time favorite game. However, Octopath 2 was still pretty good and a net positive for gaming. I didn’t beat Galdera in Octo 2 though 🙁
Xenogears is a great half of a game
shame that xenogears as a game fundamentally sucks. I like its story but playing it is actual torture + its unfinished
Partitio? Really? The least interesting story in the game?
Frick off, Tressa. Partitio will always be the superior merchant.
>Ori getting corrected into a proper young lady
yes.
he actually fixed her
How?
With Capitalism!
>he doesn't know
Know what?
The least interesting story in the game is Agnea's, the only saving grace of that path is that the final boss encounter is kino.
And watching the lesbian getting domestic abused later
Okay yeah, but that finale is the best of the 8 routes. The music was also the best in the game.
>but that finale is the best of the 8 routes
not really, the final song is good but in terms of atmosphere and final boss Osvald's, Hikari's and Partitio's are better
Throné's also a tier above
The only one of those I'd agree with is Osvald, and that's mainly because I grew attached to the old bastard since I chose him as my main. I also got particularly invested in his story because of how much of an absolute dick Harvey was.
Partitio is such a fricking bro he converted one of the fricking shadowy omnicidal evil frickers back to the side of good
did this game fix the story problems of the first game?
Yeah, pretty much everything is fixed in the sequel. You still have eight stories, and you have to pick a character as your main, but they intertwine far better than the first game's tepid story.
The stories have clearer connections and you have two character story quests between the solo quests. The final act is actually a story where all of the characters participate instead of a lore dump this time. Though the lore dump in 1 was still kino.
Half the girls you play as in these games are turboprostitutes.
Relentless optimism defeats the scheming of immoral men.
mid ass temu series
You saying the arcane beast in Ochette's CH1 was mutated Roi?
most people are too stupid to have noticed this. Most don't even realize that the dark hunter was the beast you fight at the post-game either judging by how often people b***h that she "died offscreen".
I'm consistently reminded of how stupid the average person is.
>Kill Cateracta
>Fails to kill Tera and runs like a b***h
>Has to bring people to Glacis and even then, she only breaks her eggs.
KWAB
Compare that shit to the other main villains and yeah, she does look kinda pathetic
>Oboro
Like the second smartest dude in Solistia after Oswald and Harvey, can make nations rise and fall in a few weeks with his schemes, literally suceeded in his plan but still got stopped through the power of EIGHT homies in a row and was so smart Jigo could have killed him for trying to assassinate him but instead got him a job
>Roque
Came from nothing, worked backbreaking labor every day and single handeldly made his way to the absolute top. Establishes a continent-wide company that would make Rockefeller look like a small fry in comparison, has an absolute market monopoly, could have controlled literally every nation, country and company if partitio didnt buy the steam engine rights, and even then, he already knew to diversify his portfolio by r&d-ing into military machines
>Dolcinea
Same as Roque, came from literally nothing and now is the most famous person in all of solistia. Can make masses attend to her every wim, orders around her bosses like theyre insects, so good at her job shes compared to her fricking patron goddess
>Trousseau
Would have wiped out entire cities had he not been stopped, Castti is the only one who could have made a cure because of her know-how as an apothacery and what ingredients you need to use, casually invaded a royal castle during its most important event in years and has a cool fricking outfit
>Claude
Been alive for eons, so powerful hes inteded as a vessel for a dark God but goes "frick that" and does his own thing. Suicidal but not in a homosexual way, loves his children while also rooting the weeds, arguably has the biggest charisma in all of Octopath(Or Marietta was a prostitute) and literally won. No ifs and buts, he triumphed over everyone. He got his happy ending, no matter what could have happened
1/2
2/2
>Arcanette
Lyblac 2.0, fooled everyone but the Pontiff, worked with Oboro to cause chaos across the entire continent, was in front of Temenos the detective THE WHOLE FRICKING TIME, btfoed homosexuals 2 seperate times by having Roi and Crick killed, also has such a massive Charisma she turned a mouring widow gay
>motherfricking HARVEY
Save for the one man he hates the most and who was defeated by him
OSWALD
VON
VANSTEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEIIIIIIIIIIIIIIN
I do, but OT does a pretty mediocre job at that and pretty much everything else outside of the music, which is just okay.
Cap
Persona 4/5 and Xenoblade 3
Persona 5
Maybe they're clicking all 200 filler convos in a tales game
If you're not watching the skits you're playing Tales wrong. That's the saving grace of the series. The characters all have plenty of screen time and fun interactions. Tales games never have good story and the gameplay is copied and pasted with minor adjustments every game (I still enjoy the combat, though, even in Arise where you just REIGNING SLASH the entire game).
>What JRPG has a party that has actual conversations with each other?
i love the tales of series because the banter is so much more constant, and also the kiseki series
That’s overrated
most tales games
Dragon Quest? 4, 5, and 6 has the best implementation of party chat in the series. They even have new lines of dialogue after talking with every NPC.
The remake of star ocean 2 must be 11/10 for this moron. This game isn't even closed to a perfect game.
How was the remake? Was it good?
Its a great remake
Yes because it has my wife Ochette.
Give her all the nuts!
Speaking of nuts, I’ve been hoarding them for a bit. What’s the ideal nut combination for each character?
Its going to depend on your gameplan but using the build i copied to beat the superboss
Osvald: E.Atk
Hikari: P.Atk and HP
Throne: SPD and P.Atk
Rest is whatever.
Bro is using guides for an easy as frick game. Bro dead ass serious lmao
Would you nut her back?
I want Ochette to eat me.
Bro a little freak
It hits every niche I value so yes. OT2 was easily my GOTY last year.
Octopath hater being mentally defective, expected

I think it's the bitter FF fans tbh

>bitter
ah. yeah there’s no cure for that kind of stupidity.
Obsessed schizo
Have you seen the state of that franchise? Why wouldn't they be bitter? OG FF fans doesn't give a flying frick about the MMO.
Most people I know who are huge fans of the old games have at some point or are still playing XIV.
Its just teens that grew up with a fat mutt who loves BBC cuckold play that keep saying his opinion 6 years later.
It's not a hatedom. It's just a very mediocre game that has been pushed extremely hard by tendies when it released because it was the only JRPG they had at the time
Bravely Default 2 was extremely forgettable and it's still better than either OT
>tendies
If this post not hatedom, then it's pure mental illness on par with current Ganker.
You say that as if Xenoblade Chronicles 2 hadn't already released on the Switch by then. It might be the worst Xenoblade game and a huge downgrade from X, the best Xenoblade game, but it sold millions anyways.
>Bravely Default 2 was extremely forgettable and it's still better than either OT
man, i remember when bait used to be believable.
Prove him wrong
Pro-tip: You can’t
bro, Bravely default 2 is objectively bad at every single aspect of it's game. it has shit graphics, shit story, shit gameplay, shit characters, and super shit combat.
That’s subjective
It sucks how poorly Bravely transitioned from the 3DS. I was really looking forward to BD2 since I liked the 3DS entries but after OT1 the combat flow felt worse than I remembered. That's a problem I'd have going back to any of the three but BD2 looked like ass and had no personality so I dropped it pretty early into the game. It had the same vibes as all of those PS1 JRPGs that fell off when they tried to move sequels to the PS2.
We got too spoiled by Boost. Defaulting feels so aged now.
The brave system is better than standard 4homies gameplay but the boost/break system is so much better. It gave the devs a lot more to work with in boss design which is the highlight of OT. Going back to brave is like playing an SMT game without the press turn system. It's still good but you know there's something better.
>it has shit graphics
They both look like shit but at least BD2 has more effort put in than just
>2d with backgrounds layered in vaseline + max bloom, particles and 200x lighting
>shit story
Delusional. Not a single OT story is good
>shit gameplay
The gameplay is good on both games.
>shit characters
BD2 mogs too. The characters actaully have stuff happen to them and they interact with each other.
The only interesting character in OT is Partitio.
>super shit combat
>can't think of anything else so I'm just going to repeat my argument with a different word
Cope
BD2 biggest fault is being forgettable. OT biggest fault is being forgettable AND shit.
This is a response from someone who wouldn't be able to describe the intricacies of the character themes in OT2. They just songs mayne. Dey is flat with volumetric lighting n shit. Aint no curructer in dat thang.
Gloria's theme was so bad.
Less said about the forgettable BS character themes, the better since Revo didn't compose the OST.
>I'm being dead ass
Opinion disregarded, game must be garbage.
I never played Octopath 2 but the best parts of the first game was the battle themes, voice acting and the 2D-HD. Then they made a dozen games in 2D-HD and it lost all novelty.
2 is better than 1 in every conceivable way.
Everything about the series is generic, bland, slow, and boring.
This is the first time I ordered a physical copy since MGSV for full price I hope it's worth it.
Lmfao
I can't find a used copy anywhere even at my local pawn shop where manage to get Gravity Rush 2 for $20 when it's almost $100 online now, I couldn't even find it at gamestop.
2DHD is a cheap and gross graphical style that I wish would die but it doesn't look like it will. moronic normies are completely taken with it even though they don't even finish any of the games.
>normies
Go back to whatever shithole you came, damn pleb.
reminder that if you didn't beat galdera you didn't beat the game
Every new JRPG is a net gain for gaming
Anyone that uses the term "dead ass" should not be taken seriously and is 100% lacking in IQ.
no cap
frfr
Ugly Art = Ugly Game = Do not Play
FYI the artbook was uploaded to sadpanda not too long ago.
You can also find the character relevant pages in the wiki
Game is great, I only wish that it wasn't so easy to chunk bosses for 50k 3 story chapters in. Hikari and Agnea are kinda lame though.
Music got better too.
I've been jobbing to Galdera for 4 days now. Im going to just copypaste some build from youtube and call it.
OT is terrible
Dragon Quest III HD-2D is about to mog it
You dead ass, blud?
>dead ass
I tried to make fanart once because I love Castti
I'll share it even if it's not perfect please be lenient ;_;
Is it AI? Looks decent but outfit is weird.
Combined with my graphic tablet
I would need to polish the outfit too but I'm aware it could be improved, wanted to share anyway
it's not even that good
>dude what if you could hecking mug/bribe/charm/attack/steal from regular NPCs?
that's the whole game
homie did you even play the game
JRPG is prob the worst game genre ever made. I can't understand how people play these games, they are far worse tha westerm rpgs.
I like listening to the OST but have never played the game
>she listens video game music
Frick yes. i wish we had the canon pseudo-latin gibberish
I played the first game and found it pretty boring.
Probably because it felt like just a bunch of prologue stories one after another. I dropped it after getting the third or fourth character.
Is the 2nd game any different?
No, just dropped it for this exact reason. The stories are bland as frick and the characters extremely wooden
Partitos story is like the forth best story at best.
who is that homosexual?
You dead ass?
What?
>Were you being utterly serious with your original post?
Washed up Smashtuber. He's likely chomping at the bits for the next Smash just so he can act like his basic b***h ass opinions and "I'm a black dude" humor is original and funny again.
Did this game have multiple writers? I can't imagine one person writing Agnea's Saturday morning cartoon story and then going straight into Throne's crazy dark one.
Agnea's story is a great palate cleanser when you need a break from the angst. Credits show 1 writer, 1 scenario/screen writer, and 2 text supports.
That's what makes Agnea's story great
Imagine having a party with Throne, Osvald, Castti and Agnea
Everyone is going through some immense trauma and Agnea is just attending a dance-off
>Throne almost stealing Partitio's 80 billion leaf check
Its just her payment for dismantling a slave market on his backyard
I'm still seething about Octopath 1. I just know wienersuckers are just over inflating 2 like they did for 1.
looks like the only issue is it's not to your taste
The format is the most ill suited for any good story and then you have some average video game writer go at it.
that's cool and all but you didn't read my post or just couldn't
that's cool and all but you didn't read my post or just couldn't
The only books that have yet to be topped by video games are the Middle Earth books.
The frick
Tolkein was an unparalleled genius.
Video games have fanservice and everyone cries
YA novels have full pages of graphic interspecies sex and nobody bats an eye.
>Stories in games are better than in books
Post a single game that has a story as good as a book
I hate it simply for popularizing that dogshit “HD 2D” style morons are obsessed with
It's a fine game, the characters and story are enough to keep you wanting to see what's next, and the standard JRPG combat holds up, but:
This is one extremely annoying side effect. I'm not sure if Octopath Traveler was the first to do it, but HD 2D detracts for me, and it outright looks bad in a lot of other games.
Is he right?
Is this dead ass the best 4 homies in a row game?
not in a million years
I've played many of them and it's in my top 5 for sure, perhaps even top 3.
I wouldn't call it the best game ever but it is good.
its among the worst 4 homies in a row I've ever played.
Visible Stagger systems are the nadir of video game design
Do zoomers really think the Octopath games are the pinnacle of jrpgs? I played both of them and they lack pretty much everything that made old school jrpgs enjoyable while maintaining many of the tedious traits of those games.

These games aren't made for zoomers lil lbro
>These games aren't made for zoomers lil lbro
it's adhd the rpg the frick are you talking about
Good thing Square cares only about sales numbers and not your stupid opinion.
I agree
AAAAAAAAAAAAARRRGGGGGG GET FFFFFRICKED Black personMAN, BACK TO YOUR HELLHOLE

WHAT THE FRICK
Galdera is a joke compared to Extra Battles True Vide.
Dead ass Blud is saying the truth
>OT3 also has Galdera as the secret boss
>The Questgiver thanks us in the end and tells us who he is
>Its Odin Crossford
>tried the game
>felt no different than any other jrpg
The character themes in OT2 are so good it's difficult to describe how much I love them.
All right lads, im only missing the extra battles but im not really that instered in that. May try tomorrow to cheese them with the Galdera buster build. Game was Kino, amazing how improved on OT1 in almost every aspect.
My brother in Christ, you are doing it right. Glad you loved the game.
>All right lads, im only missing the extra battles but im not really that instered in that. May try tomorrow to cheese them with the Galdera buster build
>he thinks he can cheese the extra fights
Granted, the first 2 battles are easy as shit with max phy att hikari at 1hp, temenos and throne at night as merchants to break everyones shield with beastlings and agnea as inventor for 100% chance of critical damage, but the latter 2 are easily the hardest battles in the game. You cant cheese them, you actually need skill(and luck) to beat them
>dead ass
>dead ass
>dead ass

>dead ass fr fr no cap on God :skull emoji:
Also you have to be a man-child or a weeb to unironically like Agnea's story.
homie it's just a cute story
Agnea's story isn't cute. Not only is it boring as shit, the characters are insufferable and the dialogue is borderline is painful to read. Idk what the frick went wrong with that route.
On the contrary. Tressa's story was actually cute. Because unlike Agnea, her story doesn't comes straight from an anime and Tressa isn't a western moron who thinks everything can be solved with the power of friendship and dancing.
It’s a comfy story you dweeb
Agnea solved her problems through the power of beating these homies up though
Agnea is all about hardwork and becoming a guiding light for other people to follow.
She also beats up everyone except for Dolcinea since that fight is obviously an abstraction of what really went on.
why play a jrpg if you're not a weeb?
No but you do need to not be miserable frick.
I bet you hated Tressa's story too.
What a moron, not worthy of a (You)
Both are great but CC1 will always get me hyped.
Zamn why is Partitio's leg the same height as Hikari?
Boring generic characters and story, hd2d is also a blight on anyone with functioning eyes
b***h you didn't even play the game
Frick you
erm frick YOU
i tried it for a few hours
they put all kinds of effort into a bunch of things but not into the most important thing, the character models
story telling is choppy and annoying since you are essentially starting over like 8 times.
i would really like to see what the gays that are praising this thing have played so far.
game is mid at best with some cool ideas.
>the most important thing, the character models
>sprite based game
???
>she doesn’t know
there are a bunch of sprite based games that have character models that dont look like they 16x16 bit
Such as?
Am I supposed to grab all 8 characters immediately, or is 4 enough?
Grab 4 characters, do their stories, grab the other 4, do their stories, then do the cross character stories
Sounds good. I'm going with castti, partitio, hikari, osvald
Grab all 8 and constantly rotate through them.
That sounds exhausting
It's at fault for introducing that "HD-2D" dogshit visual style to games. Fricking hate it it's so fricking ugly and it's raping the visuals of my favorite classic jrpgs like DQ3.
It's the best thing in forever, Ragnarok Online was the first big game to use it but it took these morons a whole 20 years to figure that out.
Now maybe one day the morons will figure out why Ragnaroks systems were good and we'll finally get a true Ragnarok Online 2.
No. Frick off.
ragnarok was aesthetic kino born of falcom inspiration and co creation through gravity studios and nihon falcom
but it is not in any way a good game at all. the last good gravity game was arcturus.
It is quite literally the best MMO ever made.
>its quite literally the best turd ever made
????
Cope
I spent most of my childhood on the original iro servers. Any game where you can spend the majority of it playing another game because its all purposeless vague grinding isn't a fun game, and it does not hold even a candle to arcturus, a game you doubtless never even played even though the RO engine is an evolved version of it.
>arcturus
how good is the story truly? i know they were 100% influenced by xenogears but i remember trying it and it seemed really glitchy
It will never be anything more than a 7/10 until they learn how to integrate the stories into each other properly
>video game
>dude the story
Yes, that's usually what separates 4 homies in a row games
What did I think of it?
How are Gankerirgins expecting them to make 8 trillion permutations of every story for every party member permutation you can roll with
Script each cutscene with places and movements for characters A/B/C/D.
Define fun
I liked Throne because taking two turns synergizes with every job ever and makes her incredibly flexible
Shit anon I don't know. The ability to wipe out the enemy in creative ways I guess.
Osvald. His weakness finder is useful throughout the whole game, the best AoE magic damage, and big lategame buff support.
I'll choose between those three then.
I won't be buying square enix games
What the frick is that thing. It looks like Snivy from Pokemon
NO! Can you not see it has a pride flag and a visor. WE ARE NOT GETTING SUED!
If you didn't like Agnea's chapter, you are le soulless
>basic b***h jrpg with disconnected shitty stories but muh open world
>10/10
what the frick
open world is instant 10/10
There are 2 more games than there would be without them so it is a net gain for gaming. You should have asked if it was a net gain for gaming quality though.
It proves that current-gen video game players are brain-dead.
Isn't this the guy that tried to make a cult revolving around Sakurai?
I couldn't finish the first one
I made the mistake of picking the hunter lady and her voice lines were ridiculous
"Letten us beginnen" every single fight
Jesus Christ man
Luckily there is nothing nearly as annoying in 2.
homie…
>playing d*b voices
The dub is pretty good
The JP voices in OT2 are so much better than the English dub it's unreal. And the English dub isn't even bad. They went all out with the talent for JP. Hikari being generic male Ghibli protagonist man elevated the character for me.
in japanese she says the same shit kiryu does when some goons approach him. japan is based
>goons
SUS
ok
Octopath was a fricking terrible game and "2DHD" is a hideous art style. I am legit mad they convinced the DQ group to let them remake DQ3 in their disgusting sprites-with-3D-lighting scheme.
Literally the only decent thing about Octopath is the job system it stole from better games. It's an utterly incompetent title
Soulless post
Ironic, as there is nothing more soulless than a fake-retro sprite animating across a purposely low poly 3D landscape with default UE lighting
Who does throne story take a huge nosedive after the reveal of you know who
>woman with daddy issues
>story is completely irrational and makes no sense
It makes sense up until that point. It goes from a revenge story to whatever the frick the last parts of it were.
It was kind of obvious that Throne's final boss existed when you read Chapter 3F. The problem is that just like with Primrose, the writers just went full shitpost mode with how rushed the final chapter was.
homie do you not remember the kid from chapter 2m
>have a level up characters individually
Yes
dead ass
>best game ever played
nice moron sign. it's like a 5/10 maybe if you're being generous. holy frick modern jrpgs are so garbage compared to 25 year old jrpgs
You’re wrong
Is the gacha decent?
It is pretty much just another main series game but with gacha shit tacked on. I got to the ending and dropped it.
Alright, thanks anon
No, you dumb frick. It’s gacha. What the frick else did you need to know about it?
No
Ochette shouting. Cute.
GAAAAOOOOO
HARAPEKO DAAAAAAAAA
KAKATTE KOOOOI
Shut the frick up
Frick you
>dog fricker plays the inferior Japanese voices
Why am I not surprised?
I dropped the first one because it was super boring and I felt lied to about the concept.
>I felt lied to about the concept.
how so?
I was under the impression that the characters’ journeys would intertwine. Think like how FF VI has a large cast. They don’t all need to have a connection, but to be completely disjointed just felt like a borderline scam. And the stories themselves are just dull. I didn’t even like the gameplay enough to keep going.
The stories are connected because they all build up to the final confrontation against Galdera. For example, the owner of the book that Tressa carries is Redeye in Haanit's story. Who also happens to be the person that spurs Alfyn on his journey.
It’s still too loosely connected
its not, its just that those plot threads only get revealed in the literal last place of the game. I hope Octopath 3 goes all in with out of context clues for future story revelations like Roi speaking in ochettes chapter 1
OT2 did enough to weave plots together without pointing at the connections too hard.
I agree
HD 2D is fricking cancer, octopath traveler and it's consequences have been a disaster for gaming
never believe a scalie
I've just started the first game and it has the cheesiest writing I've probably ever encountered. Maybe it's just par for the course for JRPGs because I don't usually play them, but holy frick these intro stories are so cheesy. I just picked up my sixth person and I've started just skipping their intro stories because they're so cliched.
>chapter has a recommended lvl 40 something
>can just run through everything with overleveled mc and a party of lvl 30
I was like that and Rai mei tooke me like three tries and only won because she didnt change to 5 consecutive turns stance
I'm just starting the chapter 2 segments in Octo 1. I'm already bored. Is the sequel better?
Overall, yeah.
Most of the stories in the first game don't really pick up until ch3 though.
Was interested in game before, only having seen a /v thread and the coverart
>Fan says it's "dead ass good"
No longer interested.
what's the fricking point of including a tweet in the OP when that tweet doesn't even say anything more meaningful than "I liked that game"?
Because the hread would have archives with 3 posts otherwise, for all the b***hing about twitter screencaps they still attract anons like shit to flies. Granted that is gossip in general.
Because why not?
because i dont fricking care what some literal whos opinion about a game is. If you wanna make a thread about Octopath, make a good post and engage with other anons by asking question and shit
now go back to twitter where you came from op
No
Characters having unique voicelines when full boost against their bosses was probably my favorite detail
Do I need to play the first one to understand the second one?
No.
Alright cool
no
What other games have big buff wizards with families?
drunk sex with castti
I would hug Castti and tell her everything will be okay
Castti took Partitio's V-card and didnt pay a single leave
Partitio is pure, simple as
>partitio is around Agnea for 2 seconds
>starts rambling about how he'd like to go to town on her sweet peach
>castti is around Agnea for 2 second
>starts stripping
she's a danger to society...
Any more?
Castti is not for lewds.
I’m a bit surprised at the lack of lewds for Castti, Throne and Agnea.
Primrose is explicitly a prostitute/sex slave and she has comparatively little lewds herself
What's surprising is that it's Tenemos who has the highest rated OT2 picture in rule34.xxx lmao
Damn Fujos
kinda amused at how much the game sets Agnea and Hikari up
>one of the more somber stories, all about easing suffering/recovering her memories/avenging her fellow apothecaries
>she's actually a cheeky pervert
Catti being a fun gal when alcohol is lowering her inhibitions foreshadows the log saying she was with Trosseau in lostsneed and Claude failed to demoralize her into his death cult
Journey for the Dawn is such a wild fricking ride
Does Hikari also says he is going to protect Castti from any stranger in the JP version?
Yes
I hate troonyslators, AI translations can't become standard soon enough
Bro low key seething over something so trivial lmao
>bro why do you care that puritan trannies are rewriting Japanese games and anime to fit their political and social sensibilities because they know that publishers and production companies rarely check the translation for accuracy
The frick is political about that change
You could just learn japanese, you know?
Dead ass
Actually, he doesn't need to. He can learn spanish italian german or french, it's literally just the english troonylation that's always censored.
t. trilingual
imagine learning italian instead of japanese and having to pray for every jap release that comes out to be translated in italian just so you can avoid woke stuff
mamma mia
Imagine attempting to learn japanese to play vidya games for 4 years and barely being able to read half the kanjis lmao
an european language takes a couple of months tops and has actual use in your resume
>dead ass
confirmed shit
deceased bum
Goddamn this board got taken over by twitterBlack folk more than /misc/ got taken over by trumpgays
What’s wrong with twitter
what's right with twitter
whats not wrong with twitter you homosexual? Go back there
Is the twitter hate just Gankerers hating things that are popular lol
are you actually fricking moronic
lurk moar newbie
If it's so obvious than explain it to me lol
You simply do not belong here, and we do not want you here
Your posts drive down the quality of this website
Your writing drives down the quality of this website
As
said, you are an actual foreign invader, and most likely a npc who watches twitchBlack folk like asmongay and whoever fricking else is popular right now all day long, and then you take your stupid fricking slang, your stupid fricking opinions and your stupid fricking posts and put them on this website for all to see
You are a muslim praying to the pedo mohamed at the notre dame
You are a Black person in Sweden acting like a monkey from detroit
You are a turk in germany who thinks hes the shit and thinks turkey is the greatest country ever, but wants german citizienship
You are almost a israelite even, but at least a israelite is smarter, because he wouldnt so brazingly reveal himself
So let me say this to you
Go
back
to
twitter
homosexual
go back and stay there
Black person
you exposed yourself willingled as a bad faith actor. You shit up the site with your moronic slang, your moronic neo-god worship of (e)celebrtities, your moronic opinions and you, the biggest moron of them all. So let me tell you before someone else does
You are not welcome here
You will never be welcome here
And you have never been welcome here
You are a foreign invader, pushing your inferior culture and way of life onto others
You change the culture of those that came before you, and say its a good thing
And worst of all, you think its a good thing
Bros...
Is that supposed to be Primrose?
who else?
Yes, it's from the extra battles.
>fursona pfp
Yeah I'll take this with a grain of salt if you don't mind
CHARIZARD is exempt for being a normie icon.
have a nice day
This game was insultingly easy and the story didn’t do enough to keep me going.
>She didn't do any of the side content
homie needs to play more games if this is his peak
Dead ass.
Im gonna go to sleep now, so this thread is probably dead by the time i wake up, but i just wanna say it one more time
if you have a reddit account, use twitter, post on facebook, or really any social media, you do not belong here, we do not want you here and you should go back
t. bitter Gankerer
Octopath II was a good game, but Partitio's story was one of the worst.
more like
>a net GAYN
ripoff slop for desperate Black folk
>another SE shill thread for a kusoge
>sales of the game remain negative as always
Can't wait for this slop factory company to die tbh
Temenos is the canon MC and he isn't gay
>laughs in Crick
sus
Is it as grindy as the first one? Is there still random encounters every 5 feet?
>popularized hd2d
Frick no.
It started this ugly trend of "2D-HD" and I forever hate it for that reason.
They're literally the only studio that does it, if you don't like their style just avoid their games
Star ocean 2 remake won
This is objective:
Octopath 2 is incredible and everyone who likes it understands and enjoys videogames
Octopath 2 is incredible and everyone who hates it is a subhuman nitpicker with the attention span of a zoomie moron
Dead ass
Sure, barely played the first one but I don't think they negatively impacted the gaming sphere by existing.
why is the ass dead
Octopath 1 had a moronic difficulty curve and needed grinding for money to buy/upgrade weapons. Pissed me off.
This is literally like the first Final Fantasy which I'm playing right now.
Cute girls!
