What hacks are missing from my list (I know GPW is what this thread is about but I've always been turned off by the SMW e-celeb scene)? What have been the most standout hacks and developments of the past year or so?
If you are up for more kaizo stuff, Riff World 2, Moon, Mycelium and Hydro comes to mind. Might be mixing up Hydro with Waterworld but I think both were good?
As for eceleb shit, I dunno man, should just enjoy good stuff for being good, not if they are some twitch streamer or not (and you played pangas kindergarten hack). Besides, even if Morsel/Jump team aren't big streamers, they are probably more well known than the GPW hacks are since every streamer shills them.
I'll probably check the GPW series out then, I'm always just worried about having in-jokes go over my head but I do agree that a good hack is a good hack no matter who made it. I'll definitely check those others out as well, especially Mycelium because I had never even heard of it before
Downside with GPW series is that 2 and 3 have big puzzles as part of their finale before the final boss/level and while I think the puzzle in 3 is mostly "stand-alone", the one in 2 is more insidious because it's dedicated so much to the streamer the hack is named after. Both hacks should be easy to find solutions through google though if you don't wanna bother (especially with the GPW2 puzzle). Also GPW1 is kinda shit.
