After learning you can do multiople items at once in some skills in OSRS I'm going to give it a real try
But I will miss the concept of the skills form RS3 like summoning and necromancy and the fact I'll be on mobile on an iPad like 90% of the time pains me
Is there any reason to get into RuneScape at this point?
It's worth it to get into if you like having something to do with your hands while you watch TV or listen to an audiobook or something, it's really grindy in the best way possibly and some of the lategame PvM is really fun too.
It takes forever to get your account ready to do all quests (even the original ones) as you need roughly 50-70 in all skills to meet the quest requirements. You can grind partially and then naturally get enough XP through quest rewards to meet the requirements for harder quests as you play through them but there's still tons of grinding.
It's still a ridiculously long amount of 'prep work' and I would not recommend it over playing a different game.
I'm currently 12 days in and I'm nearly able to continue doing all pre-2008 quests without having to stop to grind ever again.
Don't play this game unless you want to scratch the itch in your head that says "yeah but you never really BEAT runescape back then". Back when you didn't know any better since you were a poor kid who had not seen a decent video game in his entire life and got sucked into it through online ads in the mid-2000s when you had no perspective at all.
It's charming sometimes, I'll give them that but I don't see a reason to play OSRS over any other game if you've got no previous experience with OSRS.
I think the grind is the biggest thing stopping me from returning. I haven't played much since 2005 but I remember it taking me forever to get to 60+ combat level or whatever. I had a good amount of quests done though and I remember them being really fun. Much better than quests in other MMOs.
