    >How would you do such game?
A literal Anno clone where instead of an archipelago of islands, you're in an asteroid belt, competing against other megacorps.

or maybe you would buy the rights for an asteroid and try to make money from it. I was thinking about a game like this since the time i played " Space Engineers".

Maybe Fragile Allegiance is what you are looking for: explore, colonize and mine asteroids, then build nukes, bacterial and other WMDs and fling them to other occupied asteroids

no one has thought of it before

Asteroids are the most important part of station complexes in X3. In the extreme lategame nothing really matters apart from how many asteroids are in a sector.

Boring, drilling, tunneling - turning space rock inside out basically. Hollowing out large asteroids for habitation, medium ones for improvised spaceships, hurling the smallest as projectiles... Endless possibilities.

This game already exists and it's a bit of an underground classic. Been out since late 2014 and lets you customize you ships. Pretty dope. Kinetic Void is a 3D space adventure with a focus on customization and exploration. The shipyard allows players to construct their ship piece by piece. Ships can be as simplistic as a wienerpit, a hull, a engine and a gun, or as complex as a player wants. Each module has available subsystems which can be applied to strengthen specific attributes of the ship, and when damaged, those subsystems may be destroyed. While in space flight, interactions between objects are governed by the physics engine. Running into an asteroid at high speed will damage your ship, potentially with catastrophic effects. Using the Kinetic Field Generator (KFG) in game will allow your ship to create an artificial gravity around the ship, both protecting the ship as well as allowing your ship to fly freely through space. This field will also enable the Micro Warp Drive, catapulting your ship far into space in a matter of seconds. Kinetic Void is a procedurally generated adventure, there is no main story line. The decisions and direction is left up to the player. Ally with factions, go to war, build your ship and amass wealth, the choices are yours.

Not exactly Tycoon like, but I always thought a game where you play a space flotilla after a galaxy wide disaster and have to jump from system to system to mine asteroids and other objects to keep patching your ships and building new ones. You'd have to fight off waves of alien ships in between resource operations which becomes more dangerous the longer you spend in a single location.

You have to build civilian support vessels to refine the ore in an asteroid belt, build ships, and generate more crew alongside keeping combat ships ready to defend the fleet. You're always on the run because eventually the alien ships will overwhelm you if you wait too long in a system, so you need to cherry pick the most valuable ore every time you go.

sounds like fragile existence, not that we know exactly how it'll play yet
