I think the pc version fixes the combat unnecesary intro. Unfortunately nothing fixes the shitty tetra master mechanics. Having cards substracting themselves is fricking stupid. A 0 card can beat a 9 one
The game is fun, though the story gets kinda weird in that "dumb Final Fantasy way" about 3/4 of the way through. You know, when things become so metaphorical that the focused plot beats that you get invested in wind up getting overlooked in favor of saving all of existence from being erased? That sort of thing.
Gameplay-wise it's fine, if a bit slow, but the real issue is that Square was afraid of making you overpowered like in VII and VIII, so a lot of abilities have shitty accuracy, there's not really any multi-hitting, and Trance is unreliable at worst and not that great at best.
Still have played it, like, 12 times from start to finish, though. Especially Chocobo Hot and Cold.

Idk man, Zidane's trance made him deal 9999 even with the first skill in the list, Knight attack was buffed so hard,, Vivi also got a lot of damage dealing potential, and i dont remember how the other trances were.

Its on android. One of the best ports of the game. Just use your playstation controller with your phone or tablet.
