The demo is an hour long. You go through 3 areas.
You get Lailaps which is her dog guy and some girl named Chie or something.
I actually wonder how long the full game will be. An hour for each character on the cover probably.

got an email from playasia about this coming out and I think I might pick it up. Love the artstyle and music is kind of good. I could go for a metroidvania too
Grim Guardians was ok, I'd take an inferior Curse of the Moon over a bland Metroidvania, but I don't like Metroidvanias in the first place so that's expected
umm is this any good? asking for a friend. he thinks the opening is catchy. definitely not me though, I wouldn't like this kind of stuff. but my friend here want to know. I wonder if 13 eps of this would be delectable
It really struggles to find an identity imo and it's like the writers didn't know what they wanted to do either. There's a random action scene in episode 3 that makes it look like it's going to be Love Live Symphogear then it turns into a slow slice of life where nothing really happens again until episode 12/13. The fantasy elements feel really underused too.
As someone who doesn't even follow Love live, im confused as to why they made a fantasy slice of life spinoff, but the two games look neat so im not complaining

Too bad pieces of shit males ruined the whole anime
Hell yeah, u’s and Aqours animes are gold. I would watch Love Live Sunshine!! first though because you’d appreciate this anime a lot more. It’s not required though.

is moronic, he thinks one action scene means it was always meant to be action when it was clearly supposed to always be a slice of life/character development show first and foremost. dont go in with false expectations and its good
Because the OP really really screams "this anime is supposed to have zero action and strictly be a slice of life", right?

They even officially announced the game right after the first episode, after teasing it a few months prior. They were really setting it up to be more action focused than it ended up being.

do you know how many animes have OPs and EDs that are completely different in tone than the actual show
I'm not really familiar with love live but do know it's a slice of life kinda shindig. I mean I don't expect it to be entirely action and crazy fantasy but hearing that properly subverts my expectations. if the music is consistently good I really don't care how offensive or inoffensive the plot is.

The anime's vocal songs and even background ost are really good actually. yohane's voice actress is a great singer
I beat Dragon Marked for Death yesterday. Such a great game. I'll try to get my witch to level 99 but for now it's BMZ2. Yohane releases in like 4 days too.
Only DLC is 1 and it's free. I think it's 40 dollars and it goes on sale for 20 bucks. Great deal for what is basically every kid's dream of Mega Man Zero Online (but not really).
How far later on? It's already getting pretty rough at level 40. You have to level up 5-10 times to get a new post-game mission. And the Caves of Torment doesn't really give you extra EXP.

I think about 60 is when shit really gets fricking horrible. I remember having to farm hours and hours to get gear good enough to get past this c**t. But the Black Market, consumables and upgrade options were much worse back then, it's probably not that bad after all the updates.

>it's probably not that bad after all the updates.
Oh man I was thinking that too when I transfered from the Switch version. Before I was having to kill both those 2-headed dragons in 5 minutes and then it added 3 minutes to the timer. Also the witch was one-shotting enemies at the start.
>I'll try to get my witch to level 99
good luck with that. Hop you like farming the final boss endlessly since I assume he's still the best thing to grind. Though they did nerf his accessory drop to be useless so maybe there's better stuff to hunt for now.
also if you want to get the true ending you'll need to beat the game with the other 3 characters
>also if you want to get the true ending you'll need to beat the game with the other 3 characters
Ah I suppose there's always a reason people stop enjoying some games
It would be set during the anime because the dog can still talk, but it doesn't really seem like it has a set timeframe of when it actually happens. Love Live has a bunch of different "canons" so I wouldn't think too hard about it.
The demo didn't impress me. Metroidvanias are a dime a dozen so it's hard to keep interest in one that lacks charm outside the LL branding. If you're not bothered with that then you might enjoy it. The demo is long enough to see a good slice of what they're aiming for.
>Can change outfits
Now this, this catches my eye. I don't play deck builders but I might give this one a try.
>one that lacks charm outside the LL branding
What I'm looking for is attention to details and Inti delivers on that front. Plus idk how you can get charming when you're basically beholden to an anime's universe and you have to make fans smile with little references to the show like this
There's attention to detail but personally I found little to care here when the game is just metroidvania with a coat of "there's like 30 people lost in the dungeon, let's go save them". Without knowledge of LL or the Yohane universe I was just diving into this dungeon to rescue total strangers that, at least I, don't care about.
Guess I'm just burn out of playing similar games with dogshit story, so that's maybe a me thing.
I felt the same about the Gal*Gun hoes in Grim Guardians. This game has more promising gameplay at least even if they're characters I don't care or know about.

Interestingly enough I thought Grim Guardians was more appealing because you're saving people from danger, here it's just "30 idiots willingly walked into a dungeon, go save them". Nevertheless, if anyone enjoys it good for them, I'm waiting for Tevi but might give the deck builder a spin.

They aren't putting it up for preorder on Steam, but have promised an equivalent launch period sale.
No. Love Live shied away from showing male background characters starting with Sunshine, which even showed a real life location but was missing the men's bathroom sign. Sunshine in the Mirror was the first one to feature male background characters with faces and voices, going back on that trend. In fact, the first character to speak besides Yohane herself is a man. One false flagger with the same mentality as your post really likes bringing that up.
>Spin-off filled with disgusting dickfaces gets two games
Can't wait for both to flop hard. Frick Love Live. It's now trying to be a yuribait/self-insert bullshit
It's not even out yet
Play the demo and see for yourself

Bought a digital and physical copy simply because i trust Inti to make fun games, so i hope its good
Think the dog is a girl too
>Think the dog is a girl too
I hope so, keep the MALE filth outta my cgdct
of course the dog is a girl, girls only is like, the foundation of this series
I spent like $110 on the deluxe box so I hope so
got an email from playasia about this coming out and I think I might pick it up. Love the artstyle and music is kind of good. I could go for a metroidvania too
From the demo it felt like a very perfunctory Metroidvania to me. I like Inti's games but I couldn't bring myself to finish the demo
The demo was way better than Grim Guardians at least. They really took the metroidvania pill.
Grim Guardians was ok, I'd take an inferior Curse of the Moon over a bland Metroidvania, but I don't like Metroidvanias in the first place so that's expected
I miss what love live used to be. I took Aqours for granted. Where did the soul go?
Holy shit you are right, i just realized, is this supposed to be Love Live?
It’s a spinoff that brought Aqours back into anime. It’s supposed to be Yoshiko’s Yohane persona in a fantasy setting

It’s great but be aware of idol hell. You never get out once you fall in.
Yep.
Aqours made me lose interest. It was actually Nijigasaki that brought me back, lots of soul there and very good music.

Gunvolt died for this
Gunvolt has one last game
>One last GV game is not even 2D platfomer
What a humiliation
At least give us IX3 before you kill the series Inti you greedy fricks
Good I hate that gay
I don't think they can top Gunvolt 3 tbh, at least in terms of the boss fights
*checks the surrounding vicinity for monkey's paws, finds none* yes more iX please
I'm waiting for the deckbuilding game to come out
Wait Gunvolt is being discontinued? What did I miss?
he got robot aids
>all girls
Yurishit can never be good
Never consumed love live outside of porn and the first and second anime.
Am I right to assume that it fell off after Aquors?

I should check dragon marked for death out? It looks cool but you are the only person i've ever see mention it.
Yeah it's awesome. There's even postgame content. The world is great. I love the world of Remlia. Music, art, spell variation, etc.
how much is the complete game in total? I saw years ago there was like 4 different DLCS
Only DLC is 1 and it's free. I think it's 40 dollars and it goes on sale for 20 bucks. Great deal for what is basically every kid's dream of Mega Man Zero Online (but not really).
Purchased it in the last Inti sale, a few days back, but just for a completionist Inti prostitute.
Is the game any good for soloing?
>Is the game any good for soloing?
yes. good luck finding someone to co-op with anyway.
>Is the game any good for soloing?
Depends on how far into the endgame you want to go, the grind absolutely miserable later on.
How far later on? It's already getting pretty rough at level 40. You have to level up 5-10 times to get a new post-game mission. And the Caves of Torment doesn't really give you extra EXP.

Don't you have your self-insert horseshit thread going on right now? Frick off there if you love dicks so much
That's the very reason why it doesn't have Love Live in the name. And still it flopped so hard
It's not even out. I'm tempted to buy it physical, though.
So far all its worth my vague impression is that the game is set after the anime that I have definitely not presently watched?
It would be set during the anime because the dog can still talk, but it doesn't really seem like it has a set timeframe of when it actually happens. Love Live has a bunch of different "canons" so I wouldn't think too hard about it.

I really liked the Yohane Slay the spire mod, hoping this DARKNESS game is also gonna be good.

Creative freedom is pretty limited in other words

I'm really hyped for that one and I don't even care for cards / deck building games.

Gal Guardians was great so I'm hopeful this will be good too.
Okay I want to know, does this game that has idols going to an underwater temple have any mermaids on it?
there weren't any mermaids in the underwater part of the demo
doesn't seem like it, maybe in a sequel
How much does it cost? Steam just says "coming soon".
$30
I think there's a tiny discount at launch, like a few dollars off

Inti creates is making a 2d platformer spinoff of love live? What a weird timeline we live in
Is it?
Wait so there was a controversy over this LL spinoff anime having male characters? I might buy this just to spite yurishitters.
"controversy"
Yes controversy dipshit, the anime and games of love live only have chicks
No. Love Live shied away from showing male background characters starting with Sunshine, which even showed a real life location but was missing the men's bathroom sign.
