      What

You dumb fricks said the same about eu4 and hoi4 and yet they are the most successful and popular paradox games

said. Paradox built up a brand cult through aggressive social media tactics over the years and purging dissent after becoming a corporation. They could post a picture of Johan and Pacifica's actual shits on steam as a NFT and they would buy it. Then they would complain after the fact only to forget why they were complaining when 1 of 100 piss images DLCs are announced. I mean they're called paradrones for a reason.

autism, geek attitude, former indie outlook and as well as the quality of being swedish. A lot of their early GSG titles are actually ahead of their time compared to sid meier's fame or other strategy games out there.
