>Hyperduck did a pretty good job
They really did. I thought the music and environment design and art worked pretty great together, the game had a good atmosphere to it and felt much more impressive than it was. Makes it pretty sad it never got expanded on and refined even more. The developers movie he was working on before dust looked impressive too (considering the time and team size anyway). Weird for him to drop off the face of the earth so often, even his Twitter looks like it looks like he last posted a thank you comic for the tenth anniversary last year, then only a couple of tweets down there's one going "wow! 6 years!"
It's a shame since it would have been interesting to see something other than that weird mgs roguelite clusterfrick.

The neatest thing about the ost is how every track has a "vintage" version that's what the ost was originally going to be before they switched to orchestral.
Yeah it's nice to actually have them, instead of them just being thrown out. There's a few that I think were definitely better without the full blown orchestra. The cavern I posted is an example. The strings in the orchestral version are too overpowering and kinda ruin the "cave" feel the vintage version sets up well. The orchestral version of it feels like a trailer for a superhero movie. Makes me wonder how many game songs I don't like had good versions thrown out I'll never know about.
I liked the gameplay and flying around with that whirlwind blade. I feel like this game would have gotten more traction if it was done in more anime art style than the dude's fetish of furries. But that dedication to his degeneration allowed him to complete his game which is more to say than other devs.
It's also easy to forget that it was a decade ago. You think anime would've saved it but it could've easily ended up like Valdis Story at that rate. The indie scene was worlds smaller back then.
Plus the game was a sort of advance promotion of the movies/ips world. The art style was never really a decision to be made in the first place. The guy and his brother had the ambition of a Don Bluth mascot franchise thing going on with Elysian Tale.
Funny to say with Fidget but I thought it was one of the least fetishit looking furry game, never bothered me much.
penis sheathe
I don't even like metroidvanias, but dusk was fun. Maybe because it was very light on metroidvania elements.
>learn the move where you smack your projectile into a swarm of missiles early on
>combat solved
There have been no good furry games since.

Backpack Hero is good
furry games are fine and all but goddamn this game had some deviant art tier designs and art.
It's part of the charm now, imo. I can also forgive it because it was one motherfricker doing everything.
Yeah, it's great. It's truly a one-man passion project game.
I want to turn Fidget into a fleshlight, so I give him a pass.
This was the real problem.
Fun fact: The guy who was an artist for Jazz Jackrabbit 2 worked on this
That explains a lot
Flying onahole
All I can remember is good music and wanting to frick the midnabat
Valley of Arrows still has one of my favorite zone OSTs. Hyperduck did a pretty good job.

I played this game a lot, I'm suprised it didn't turn me into a furry. Anyway, the blacksmith girl was hot.
I should redownload and actually finish this game. I think I got as far as the mushroom people
>Makes a MGS spoof game that's focused around stealth exclusively
>Forgotten about a day later
>look it up
>only 29 reviews on steam
forgotten would be an understatement
yup
I miss it too
