It won't launch. It opens up a blank black window then closes a second later. I have tried running as an admin, verifying file integrity, updating DirectX, updating Visual C++ Redistributable, updating GPU drivers, updating windows, running it in full screen, running it in windowed, troubleshooting compatibility settings, I have checked if my anti-virus is blocking it (it isn't), disabling steam overlay, renaming the config file, absolutely nothing has worked, what do I do?

PC GAMING
It's a shitty Souls knockoff with shitty overcomplicated combat so you're not really missing out on anything but a bad time. Actually it sounds like the game still managed to deliver on that front, so you've already had the authentic Nioh experience..
It could literally be the worst game ever fricking made and I would still be content just to see it open at all.
I agree with this. I wish it was a NG game instead or something closer to that.
>webm
Some moves are designed to crush guards completely while other moves are designed to catch dodging, you should be experimenting and memorizing what does what with the correct action. This isn't even a late game thing, you get this experience from Hino-enma onward with her spin attack doing just that. Compared to her other melee attacks, it does the lightest ki damage on block by a wide margin.
>this moronic homosexual is still posting this bait
You're autistic as frick
Not that guy, but honestly that looks like a lot of my Nioh 1/2 experience. I say this and I like Nioh as a game, mostly 2 over 1.
Then you don't understand how to play the game. As the other anon said there are some attacks that you need to dodge and others you're fine with blocking.
Except you can only find that out by being oneshot by the attack, I don't know why you need to go to this length to defend Nioh as if its not a game with a ton of oneshots. Like the game is fine, you can admit its filled with oneshots and say you still liked it you know?

I've had this happen with Arcanum and Icewind Dale. With Icewind Dale, the problem was an illegal resolution I had set in the config file. I think that was what I did with Arcanum too. Can't quite remember.
What did you do to fix it?
Find the config.ini file and modify the resolution/other settings
The config file says it's at 1920 x 1080 which is the native resolution of my monitor, so I'm guessing that's not the problem.
Make the resolution like 800x600 or some other resolution that's lower than native. Also try disabling some stuff, trial and error, that's all the advice I can give you lad. Hope you manage to fix it
Ok, well it's doing something new now, making progress.
For Icewind I just uninstalled the widescreen mod I had had installed, and reinstalled the game. I made sure it worked, then reinstalled the widescreen mod and worked up to the resolution I wanted.
I don't remember how I fixed Arcanum. I know I did a bunch of uninstalls/reinstalls. I tried running it in Admin mode, running it with compatibility options or whatever, all that shit. It didn't work until I redownloaded the game from GoG, and I think I remember something about a .dll that was the wrong size or something, implying I'd had a bad download somehow. I don't know.
Sorry.
Because you're supposed to play Sekiro instead of that piece of shit.
Already did.
Play it again.
It's preferable to touching that piece of garbage you're trying to run.
borderless window instead of full screen
>"will it launch?" does the tin man have a sheet-metal wiener?
Which OS? If Windows 7, pic related.
Speaking of Nioh 2, holy frick do they buff HP values in DotD. I think I had to izuna drop Imagawa Yoshimoto roughly 18 times or something, I literally just had him in a corner and just looped him for a solid 3 or more minutes just dropping him over and over and over again. I don't even want to think how fricking long it must take to kill Shibata on these HP values.
Inflated HP values are even worse in the Depths, you feel like you're slapping everything with a wet noodle.
Its getting kind of out of hand man, like I'm just looping Saito Yoshitatsu with izuna drop for another 4 minutes. I think I must also be underleveled or something because every skill he does is over my max hp of 3081
This is the point where you start having to apply confusion to everything as it boosts damage by 50%. Mixing the elemental effects from yokai abilities are pretty much essential for this. I tend to have one purity and one corruption weapon and mix one of them with a yokai element. The purity and corruption is mainly there depending whether I'm fighting humans or yokai.
You really need to use debuffs and shit on higher difficulties.
Have you tried it in your PS4?
You might need to change the full screen setting to borderless in the config file or vice versa, I had a similar problem
