It would have been a masterpiece if it ended after Act 2's final boss fight.

it was fun but BG2 is just so much better. hope 3 gets lots of fun strategy mods I might give it another playthrough
It really isn't.
it is to me
Why do BG3 fans hate 1 and 2?
No one under 25 played these games
Well that's not true.
I played BG1, didn't get drawn in. BG2 releases, get convinced to give it a shot, absolutely loved it and completed it, went back to play and beat BG1.
I love BG3. I also love the original BG games (1 only after having the context of what 2 told me what the story was actually about)
it's actually impossible to like the original games and larian's abortion at the same time without some sort of condition
The BG1 and 2 devs love BG3 though
>Uhm actually
have a nice day moron and take your non sequitur with you
Mindbroken
it's impossible to be on this website without some sort of condition
Again, that's obviously false.
they probably never even played them
said no one ever
I just said it though?
But then you wouldn’t get to go to hell and fight the devil in his own home?
Literally the only good thing about Act 3 is the house of hope
Frick no. Act 2 kind of sucked, save for a few moments.
Act 3 (after patches) is kino. I luckily didn't play that act around release, so I avoided all the issues people had for the most part.
If anything, Act 2 should've been shortened.
Act 2 was amazing and Ketheric was a 10/10 villain, Act 3 was trash.
The reason it's already a masterpiece is the game force-feeds you Michelin Star gourmet shit in your face constantly like a perpetual orgasm, but it's true food like orgasms at some point when you can't take it anymore become a disease. That single drop of sweat you get in the middle of Act 3 because your belly is full or you're out of semen is the reason it has like 96% positive reviews and not 100. It's literally a game too perfect for its own good.
>food analogy
This is the pineapple pizza of Ganker replies
this is honestly how i feel about bg3. it's too good for its own good.
>It would have been a masterpiece if
it wasn't made by larian and was made 10 years ago
>It would have been a masterpiece if it ended after Act 1
Fixed it for you.
Larian is incapable of making masterpieces. Only clunky crpgs that waste crowdfunding. And now they've added being China's b***h on top.
gameplay is extremely mid. The combat just isn't fun, not being able to really strategize by placing units then undoing the move is so lame. Game is a glorified VN, D&D rules suck wiener
Purchase an advertisement.
The fact that the game is incredibly annoying to play in multiple different ways already disqualifies it from the status of a masterpiece.
Its painfully obvious that the movement in this game was made with controllers in mind. It has that weird cinematic shit going on that is present in RDR2 (its not as exaggerated but still) where there is a slight delay before your character responds to movement input. Whatever benefit it provides is completely lost when playing with m+kb and it only manages to be annoying. Pathfinding is also garbage in this game, and again it won't be a problem when playing with a controller because you are controlling your character directly. But with m+kb its fricking awful because you are going to be relying on it constantly.
Why didn't they bother adding WASD movement is beyond me.
i didnt hate act 3 like other people, but i played a draconic sorcerer and had free flying, nuking people from the rooftops and shit
pick a FUN class next time maybe
>i didnt hate act 3 like other people,
Most of the hate comes from how it was launched at release, certain things weren't really fleshed out as well. Plus you're like 30+ hours into the game at this point and possibly burned out.
I hated Act 3 on my first playthrough. A month or so ago I did another playthrough and 3 became my favorite act, so take the naysayers' opinion with a grain of salt.
