Because you avoid cases like TLoU2 where the game was controversial in story and gameplay, but the critic score makes it seem like the game is universally considered a masterpiece. Or Cyberpunk 2077, where even the PC was overhyped (not even mentioning the myriad bugs that do exist in the PC version) by critics and given inflated scores.
I’m explaining that the metacritic score for those two games show critic scores don’t necessarily do a better job reflecting game quality than user scores you dunce. Of course I already knew they weren’t good.
does the game look better than it did in the trailers?
I love 2d metroid, but the initial impressions from e3 didn't seem very promising to me. is the artstyle better in the final version?
does it play very similarly to 3ds samus returns (which I didn't like that much compared to am2r)?
The combat and movement flows much better than SR. It's not a perfect game by any means but it's my 2nd favorite metroid behind super. Close to Zero Mission in quality.
Cheating to count a version with 10 reviews. Idk why games with so few reviews are often so high. Some random visual novel is the highest rated switch game with a fricking 98 on metacritic because it has like 10 reviews.
Lower user score than ToA by almost an entire 1.0 (0.7 specifically) and only above it in critic score by 0.2 and that’s with the score semi-inflated a tad by 2D Metroid hypistists and game journos
Don’t care. I’m still pirating Metroid: Dread.
Pirating has nothing to do with ratings idiot
Thanks for the free marketing
why would people look at paid reviews instead of user score lol
why would you look at user score?

>he needed a metacritic user score to tell him that TLOU and Cyberpunk suck
ngmi

I genuinely trust critics over users except in cases where support for the game is pushing some kind of woke agenda like TLOU2 was
why you look at snoy infested user scores on metacritic?
You mean the people who think the only possible scores are 0 or 10?
which would essentially be the same as recommended or not recommended
it evens out the same
Metratic user score unironically qualifies as a sony forum.
Did what, release a game with an IP that's impossible to criticize? Yeah sure found the secret to success there.
Ah yes, everybody celebrated Other M and Federation Force.
I hope it gets more content or a sequel. Wish their were more paths to victory too.
>it's 89 now
from ~~*people*~~ paid to review Nintendo games well so they keep their jobs. get fricked moron
Meanwhile Mario Golf got a 70. Curious.
Almost as if Metroid Dread is actually good.
Golf is boring. Name one enjoyable golf game.
>2021
>homosexuals still care about paid reviews/ratings

There are some areas that look genuinely pretty nice.
>didn’t factor in Nintendie bonus
Pretty sure there were a lot of games with a metacritic above 79
Reminder that Dread's Metascore includes the 20+ point Nintendo Bonus.
>54 critic reviews vs 27 critic reviews
What does this mean?
It means that Metroid's 89 is worth more than HK's 90. More people review Metroid so the score will naturally be lower due to fluctuating opinions.
In other words, Metroid is the better game by quite a wide margin.
That a review of a game made by Nintendo generates more visits than a review of a game made by some indie studio.
Doesn't mean he's wrong. At the very least everyone should be able to agree that HK has a much, much better content to price ratio.
>look mom I posted it again
I sure hope you're right.
dread might be the best merroid game. i already played it 4 times lol
>it's now the highest rated game released this year.
always take the score of the platform with the most reviews

>66 reviews
Wew. Ganker is gonna have aneurysm
GOTY.

ToA is definitely worse.
t. played both ToA and Dread on PC
user scores be like
>the girl is cute. 10 out of 10
>that one boss was hard and annoying. 0 out of 10 frick this game
normalgays are fricking braindead
Don't mind me just correcting the record
You have to add 40 points for the “not a playstation exclusive” deduction
