played all dmc games, first one way earlier than you, dmc have shit difficulty settings they are piss easy and can be beaten with spamin one combo, i dropped 5 after beating Angelo on first try.

Sekiro is a really uninspired mediocrity.
It recycles so much content despite being a relatively short game. The enemy AI is incredibly stupid during stealth, breaking immersion. And i dont understand why they added platforming. It doesnt provide any tactical advantage whatdoever, it doesnt make for interesting level design and exploration, yet they dedicated two entire face buttons for climbing. They went out of their way to create a voiced mc and a more focus on story yet the story is still the same nonsensical esoteric garbage as Souls only with overlong in-game dialogue to bore you to death.
yeah, they scrapped all weapons armors rpg elements and could not do more bosses and enemies and areas or dlc in change. all and all its still great

DMC is garbage compared to sekiro, in dmc the enemies stand there and you hit them until they die, in sekiro you engage with the enemy in a variety of ways depending on their type. The two are leagues apart and I do like dmc. But dmc is a dated and shitty format for action games.
Capcom needs to put the same amount of work into the enemies as they do the moves you have, like in monster hunter. Which is better than both.

You can only block, whack and do hard counters. The combat is very limited in Sekiro. Most of your offensive options are worthless and your defensive options are worse than your basic block.

The jump is kinda jank, the shurikens aren't a defensive option and the dodges are much more reduced in utility and basically remove the thing that makes the game worthwhile in the first place.
