Couldn’t agree more, first Halo I played was 3 back in 2008, I was so disappointed, it had great potential but it’s offset by the silly plot and cartoony game design, halo is only popular in the US, elsewhere it’s seen as a kids game

Watching all the vids on it from the Halo community you'd think that theres nothing wrong with the game. Titles of videos all say some shit like "Halo is back" or "This is real Halo" or some crap like that, and teh dudes swear that the game feels like Halo. Meanwhile all the footage of the game has spartans running around, zipping and sliding everywhere looking like a goddamn generic cod clone. I think its all just cope, and when the game comes out everybody is going to get super high on copium if it flops.

The thing to keep in mind is that 8/10 people shitting on the game haven't played it, and are paraphrasing misleading shitposts they read here. Another 10% are incapable of liking anything and shit on absolutely everything they play (despite playing games for 10+ hours every day).
