didn't they just have one
Nintendo normally has directs on September
that was for pokemon and E3 was lackluster due to no interest in June.
Directs are always in June, September and February
Really narrowing it down aren't you? What's next? You gonna tell me they're gonna announce *gasp* VIDEO GAMES???
I turned 35 in june. Kill me now.
i thought it was bored teenagers who posted this nintendo direct leak threads
not 33 year old men jesus
>He thinks people don't astroturf here even when they are actually in their 30's.
It's either this or bots. No one under 20 has the mental fortitude to think about visiting a place like this anymore.
>No one under 20 has the mental fortitude to think about visiting a place like this anymore.
Hadn't thought about it this way, but you're probably right. I think that maybe makes the quality of the board a little bit more sad, though.
Will it have Atelier 2024 announcement by Gust main team? DD2 will save JRPG anyway though.
Still waiting on a release date for Keiji Inafune's game
How and why is he involved with this anyway?
Also, incoming flop (I say this as someone who played the first game for 400+ hours)
level 5 bought his company so now he's got his fingers in all their shit
>level 5 bought his company
How? I thought they were not doing well financially aside from that one shitty gacha game.
I'm turning 23 next month, and I'm already starting to feel old. Is that bad?
Don't worry bro, as old as you feel now you're just going to keep getting older
it will be after nintendo live. it will announce all the big game for the first half of 2024 and show trailers for the stuff coming out this year.
what we know is coming:
>super mario bros. wonder
>detective pikachu returns
>warioware move it
>super mario rpg remake
>luigi's mansion dark moon remake
>new peach game
>metroid prime 4
>pokemon dlc
>splatoon 3 dlc
>mario kart 8 final dlc wave
speculated to be coming:
>new system(switch 2)
>zelda totk dlc
I think it's fair to say they will talk about everything in the know it is coming catagory with the possible exception of prime 4. there will probably be at least 1 announcement for a new game, maybe more if they are planning to focus on showing the new console in the next direct. if not they can save stuff for the next direct.
My guess is that they focus only on the Switch and save new console stuff for early next year.
Is Japan based for once Ganker?
remake sloppa? not based
Don’t care what you dumb fricks think, you guys probably like Origami King
OK looks better than SMRPG remake despite being a shittier game. SMRPG is worse than PM64/ttyd anyway, as well as SSS/BiS
It's nice that DQM3 is that high. I hope it's good.
First one in a while and stars one of the most popular villains. I hope it would do well in Japan.
Only problem is that square enix is going turbo israelite with the DLC
>remake with fricked up visuals
>A mockery of a classic
>looks good
>dunno
>almost 0 footage
>yakuslop
>idk
>might be cool
>ys has sucked for a long time now
>yakuslop
could be worse I guess
>remake with fricked up visuals
It's almost the exact same as the original graphics they used prior to converting to sprites.
it clearly doesn't translate well, mario looks like gollum from that new game
>mario looks like gollum from that new game
I am so glad I'm not this fricking picky towards games.
bro he looks like shit look at this
the music also sounds worse, forgot to mention that
He looks cute to me. Mario was already stout like this in the original game. At minimum, this is far more appealing than something like BDSP, which did the chibi style way worse.
>the music also sounds worse, forgot to mention that
Eh, this is subjective, but it sounds good to me thus far. At minimum, sounds more promising than Yoko's arrangements for the Superstar Saga remake, which was quite mixed.
>this is far more appealing than something like BDSP
really aiming for a high bar huh
I didn't play the SSS remake but its music being shittier doesn't excuse smrpg r
>really aiming for a high bar huh
It's a similar art style. Point was more to offer what I saw as an actually bad example here.
>I didn't play the SSS remake but its music being shittier doesn't excuse smrpg r
What's wrong with the music thus far then?
the boss theme music is far less punchy than the original
It's one of those songs that has a harshness that's harder to replicate with actual instruments, live or synthesized. Still, I think she did a good job with it. The more obvious jazzy touch fits well with Mario's typical style of music. It also keeps things like the record scratches. Only point I can really get is the ending before the loop being heavier on the strings, but I don't really mind it. Besides, I imagine that Battle Against an Armed Foe will be more punchy in nature.
Still better looking that whatever the frick Gamefreak tried to do
Basically, if Pic 1 was through the whole game instead of in battle only, it would be goated
see
Rate the Live A Live Remake OST which Yoko Shimomura also worked on, some tracks sound a little dry to me compared to their juicy punchy SNES Counterparts

I have not played live a live yet (neither original nor the remake), I cannot comment
>Spider-Man 2 not in the top 10
Oh god those Famitsu threads in October will be legendary
>Marvel
The big game for the console this year in Japan was FFXVI, although yes it was rough.
Yes, but that one schizo somehow thinks that a Spider-Man game will outsell a fricking 2D Mario game
It can happen on a Monday or Wednesday, don't count it out. It just depends on if they have anything they want to show the following week as well. Though if I had to bet, I would agree and say that it's going to be the 19th.
So you think they'll reveal the new Mario voice in the direct?
Watch them get revealed tomorrow at Gamescom
It’s already been revealed

The doomposting for SMRPG Remake is back but it doesn’t matter because a lot of people will be able to give Nintendo their money for it and show them that we want more SMRPG and a true sequel to it, Bonus Points if it outsells Origami Trash
I’m expecting big marketing pushes for both SMRPG and Wonder in Japan. Both release very close to each other so I WONDER how they will balance the marketing.
