Drakenguard runs ok on emu, easier to run than other games. If you have like an i7 or equivalent you should be ok to run at 1080 or above

Issue is the constant texture loading. I experienced that when I ran demon souls on cemu and it was a pain in the ass, I had to sit at the beginning of the area waiting for all the shit to load before I could continue and it was just such a slog. Is there any way to fix that?

Vulcan preloads shaders and there are some options that can help like color shader cache and write vertex cache. Sorry I don’t have the settings on hand but checking the wiki and forums usually points in the right direction

This right here. Why put all this effort into a game that almost nothing of significance will come out of modding? The combat system is pretty basic compared to it's action combat contemporaries. The RPG aspects are laughable.
The gameplay is just a serviceable vehicle for the Yoko Taro experience, love em or hate em his games have always been gameplay 2nd. No amount of modding is going to change that, or deliver anything worth treading through it to see.
I'm not a Nier fan, and couldn't get into automata when I tried it, but I feel really bad for the people who enjoy it, since I absolutely know that this will result in a "Nier Definitive Mod" that restores any and all cut content with no regard as to why it was cut, as well as changing and adding things that detract from the game.
I've seen it happen too many times with other games.
People could do interesting things with the shmup sections MAYBE but there's no reason to make modded content for that when you could play a million different shmups

Like it's 7/10 gameplay compared to the usual 4 or 5 out of 10 experience that is the core gameplay of previous Yoko Taro games.

Drakenguard runs ok on emu, easier to run than other games. If you have like an i7 or equivalent you should be ok to run at 1080 or above
Issue is the constant texture loading. I experienced that when I ran demon souls on cemu and it was a pain in the ass, I had to sit at the beginning of the area waiting for all the shit to load before I could continue and it was just such a slog. Is there any way to fix that?
Vulcan preloads shaders and there are some options that can help like color shader cache and write vertex cache. Sorry I don’t have the settings on hand but checking the wiki and forums usually points in the right direction

This right here. Why put all this effort into a game that almost nothing of significance will come out of modding? The combat system is pretty basic compared to it's action combat contemporaries. The RPG aspects are laughable.
The gameplay is just a serviceable vehicle for the Yoko Taro experience, love em or hate em his games have always been gameplay 2nd. No amount of modding is going to change that, or deliver anything worth treading through it to see.
I'm not a Nier fan, and couldn't get into automata when I tried it, but I feel really bad for the people who enjoy it, since I absolutely know that this will result in a "Nier Definitive Mod" that restores any and all cut content with no regard as to why it was cut, as well as changing and adding things that detract from the game.
I've seen it happen too many times with other games.
People could do interesting things with the shmup sections MAYBE but there's no reason to make modded content for that when you could play a million different shmups
That's the thing. Automata was only a bigger hit compared to his pervious works because it starred and cosplay android with a fat ass, and marginally above average gameplay. Like it's 7/10 gameplay compared to the usual 4 or 5 out of 10 experience that is the core gameplay of previous Yoko Taro games.
