Cope, b***h. >actual dialogue system with a persuasion game baked in >over a dozen backgrounds you can choose from that decide your starting attributes/ stats as well as quests and dialogue choices >over a dozen optional traits that further your roleplaying experience (give you parents you can visit, which religion you're apart of) >in depth character creator where you can define how fat, muscular or thin your character is an mold your character's face >companions that you can romance that have their own quest lines that can be apart of your crew or base. >also optional companions you can hire >fully customizable spacechip >fully customizable bases >factions that you can actually join >space combat >can board enemy ships >huge variety of biomes >working third person animations and shadows
Kino.
There's no doubt the looty shooty mechanics will be decent for a BGS game like Fallout 4 vs 3 was, the question is if the world/quests/NPCs feel good enough like 3 for replayability.
I won't be surprised at this point if the factions end up like >main factions are space Brotherhood vs space Institute vs space Railroad >your ship and bases can be ambushed by space Raiders >late game mobs are space Gunners
Eh, I actually bet I will like Starfield more than BG3. I did like no characters in the game, and the combat is just not fun same goes for the story just not very good. I am also kind of pissed off, as a fan of the classic games, that they brought some characters back. They also lied about the 17 000 endings there, not even slides, which was the standard in CRPG since forever, so I personally am kind of dissatisfied, but I fully understand that I am in a minority.
If the space combat and ship building aspect of it is going to be fleshed out enough it will be the first special bethesda game to me. Especially if it gets modders on it.
Contrary to marketing machines there's little overlap between SF and BG3. People looking to get the former are primarily interested in a new BETHESDA game rather than whatever else it is, be it RPG or FPS. They want that particular drug only Bethesda sells.
What sort of moron thinks BG3 and Starfield are at all similar
Agreed, Starfield looks like Skyrim with the proc-gen planets from ME1.
>BG3 is DAO but better
>Starfield is ME1 but better
Biowarebros...
Am I the only one who thinks dialogue options are gimmicky. It always ends up being multiple ways of getting the same result.
so just like every CRPG ever then

It's most likely gonna be better than BG3, unless they go full CP2077 for launch.
>space exploration game
>planets are just massive empty pancakes you can only traverse on foot
Stop pretending it doesn't matter.

the backgrounds and traits will make replays worth it alone.

This game (BG3) is not for us , it's for gay coomers that eat junk food everyday.
Eh, they're gonna be completely different games.

Starfield isn't going to be a true rpg game anyway
>true rocket propelled granade game
My wiener is a true RPG when you think about it.
>true rpg
>reee this game is not letting me get raped in the ass by Black person, so it's not a REAL rpg
frick off Black person.
>His mind immediately jumps to sodomy
Do your parents know?
>can choose backstory
>choices impact story
>multiple choices
As much of an RPG you can get
Starfield is gonna destroy gaydurs gate 3 like Morrowind destroyed gaydurs gate 1 and 2. And the entire isometric subgenre.
Being it back Todd you hack
>2015
>Fallout 4 has its thunder stolen by The Witcher 3
>2023
>Starfield has its thunder stolen by BG3
Bethesda just can't stop losing
Just accept it. Todd won. Bethesda won. Again.
I prefer Sci-fi to fantasy anyway, and I actually DM a real group so the diet version of ttrpgs that larian uses holds no interest for me.

the issue that brg3 is going to face is that even as open as it is, there's just less fun stuff to do than there is in starfield.
