I've owned every sony videogame hardware pre PSVR, because what idiot falls for the vr meme, and i have no fricking clue why anyone would buy a ps5. I know one person who did and they barely use it compared to their switch because the switch has shit like monster hunter and metroid but for his PS5 he just plays ps4 games on it. Like legitimately he just uses his ps5 to play games for a console he already owned.
And PS2. Don't forget there was a class action lawsuit against Sony in regards to the failure rate of the PS2 which they lost and had to reimburse everyone they had charged repair fees to.
How is Sony charged with this while Nintendo gets away with deliberately defective joycons?
One, this is about a fault in the system's hardware

Three, Sony got away with drifting controllers for almost a decade as it is.

Nintendo literally didn't get away with it. They have to do free drift repairs on them regardless of warranty status, at least in America. If you wanted to make an point here, you'd bring up how Nintendo had to be dragged kicking and screaming into doing this by threat of lawsuits and still didn't reveal themselves that they were doing this (the memo had to be leaked by a customer service rep). Or how Nintendo replaces sent-in special edition Joycons with standard variants.
