Anon the install base for PS IV is massive, NOT releasing games would be shooting themselves in the foot more so then they already have after gutting their Japan studios
PS5 shits all over the PS4 pro. Just the vastly faster and cleaned up UI is reason enough to change. Dual Sense is a better controller, it runs all the ps4 games noticably smoother, if you got premium + the game streaming is better.
You'll never go back to 4 or 4 pro if you've touched a 5.
>faster and cleaned up UI >removed virtually friend features >can't share clips or trophies or anything >front page on power-on is a gigantic ad when even the Xbox isn't that cheeky
Almost every new game I've played so far has been pretty solid 60fps, Elden Ring wasn't quite there, but still likely miles better than it would have been Pro. If you care at all about framerates above 30 and you're not poor then it's a no-brainer, especially since flipping your old Pro for a decent chunk shouldn't be too hard.
I don't know how many times it has to be said for people to understand this, but the concept of console generations that ruled the '80s-'00s are over. Everything from now on will just be incremental performance upgrades, like upgrading the GPU on your PC.
Ok so if that's true why bother upgrading at all,if a base level PS IV can run Elden Ring with semi decent playability then that's your stop gate nothing else should matter
I was so hyped to get the PS5. Managed to get one on an online sale during the height of shortages that sold out after 3 seconds. Sold it a year later because there were NO GAMES and my PC mogs its specs.
I've been PC only for the first time since pre-PS1 and frankly haven't missed it at all.
honestly no unless you really want to play Spider-Man 2
are games just never going to release for it? What the frick is SONY doing?

So by trying to maximize profit they are unintentionally shooting the next Gen in the foot? Honestly that is something I could see Sony doing
also final fantasy xvi but that's literally it for "exclusives". everything else is on other platforms
Uh anon, your Astro's Playroom?
if ur ps4 is not hacked then it's totally worth it. also not that many big games anymore have ps4 release so might be worth upgrading anyway

PS5 is really a puzzling hunk of junk. Pointless device.
what's it for then? It's not even a good porn machine
No, it only has spiderman 2 which is worse than 1
If you don't care about playing FF7R2 day one, then no.
Silent Hill 2 soon?
No
Sony is going bankrupt
Buy the Nintendo Switch
yeah but the switch isn't going to pair nicely with my 4k TV
Won't that just mean Microsoft or Nintendo would "aquire" Sony not like they'd completely stop creating games right........?
Wonder what's going to happen to all the Call of Duty game servers still running like advanced warfare 1
TWO MORE WEEKS
A game is, like, 100 GB, right? And it comes with only 1 TB of SSD space?
Thank goodness SNOY has NO GAMES.
[FF7R REMAKE - 100 GB]
[FF7R REBIRTH - 200 GB]
[FF7R REVOLUTONS - 300 GB]
[BLOATWARE - 400 GB]

I literally just explained it, 60fps. If you don't care, then no, probably stick with your Pro.

It's worth it for the load times.
Yes
i like the tempest audio
Are there any PS5 games you want to play?
Otherwise you'd be getting a ps4 pro+
Only if you desperately want to play the Demon Souls remake.
The PS4 Pro can't play Dark Souls 3, Sekiro or FF15 at 60fps but the PS5 can.
Meanwhile FF16 or FF7R barely look better than this and can't even run at consistent 30fps either. What's up with that?
We’re over the three year cusp. There is going to be less and less ps4/ps5 games going forward and more that are just ps5. You’re falling behind.
ditch consoles and build a pc instead
