It's wild just how immersive the atmosphere of an RTS game can be, Blizzard used to be in a league of their own honestly.

WoW is just a bad game in general, hard pressed to think of a redeeming quality

in-game there's birds chirping and wind blowing the trees, also the foreboding voice behind the words being spoken. you wouldn't get it.

nta I know exactly what you mean. the care put into this title really shines through. really loving the low detail modeling style and the mood it creates in conjunction with the well thought out textures

Did you try adjusting the game speed down? You can increase or decrease game speed at any time.

It is criminal how bad the remaster looks in comparison to this. How come modern devs feel compelled to wash out any colour in their graphics?

Bc they’re trannies and arrogant queers. But seriously, is there any way to play the original WC3 now, without all the reforged nonsense?

But even with a torrented copy, doesn’t it compel you to update to reforged when you open the game?

No. Warcraft 3 isn't always online. If you don't connect to battle.net, it doesn't care.
I played the campaigns last year right off my old discs.

Warctaft 3 lost the feel and charm of warcaft 1 and 2. I finished 3 but never liked it. The move to isometric was not as well done as emperor of dune. Blizzards online stuff can get fricked.

Blizzard died after warcraft III. Warcraft Orcs and Humans Warcraft 2 and starcraft were all great as well Diablo1/2/3 and battlechess. Warcraft III was meh and then they died and turned into the scam subscription service marketing thing.

Well you may not know this but diablo and warcraft6 actually has a history of console releases, diablo and warcraft 2 released on the ps1, anyway (warning not retro but answering question) diablo 3 released on teh 360, and it allowed couch play and it did it well, where you and a fren could play sitting on the one screen and you know what? It was good. You know what? It was not online. It was a diablo you could play together. It was fun.

Black person i have owned literally every blizz game ever made except for Blackthorne and diablo 3 was a pile of shit, and i played it on 360/PS4, never even touched the garbage always online PC release. that game was a downgrade in every way compared to D2. ruined skill and stat systems, ruined itemization, ruined the music, ruined the atmosphere, killed cain in the gayest way possible in the first act, made tyrael a Black person with IBS, i could go on and on. frick diablo 3.

Look this board is so full of bitter shrill nofun frenless little critics like yourself I'm not surprised at your response. 3 was the first one you could couch play with and that was great fun. Sucks to be you. I bought and played Diablo one and two, starcraft and warcraft 2 when they came out, I liked diablo 3 because I could play with with someone else on a couch and I enjoyed finishing it. Its the last thing blizzard made I cared about at all and I really don't care about wow at all. Its spiced up diablo 2 on a console for couch play. I'm ok with that and it was fun

              >3 was the first one you could couch play with and that was great fun
no, that was D1 on PS1 moron.
              >I liked diablo 3 because I could play with with someone else on a couch and I enjoyed finishing it.
              >DURRR I LIKED IT BECAUSE CONSOLE AND I LIKED FINISHING IT
lol what kind of baby brain logic is this? your rationale for liking a game that ruined one of the best series ever made is because you could play it on a console. you have the mind of a child. have a nice day.

life in general was way more immersive back in 2002 because there was no bullshit wifi and computer phones letting you space out everywhere on earth, so getting on your pc and playing some sweet new blizz game was special. i went to pick this up the first week of summer after my sophomore year and the mall even opened an hour early for eb games and i was the only person there. i got the orc box.

Same here, I got it for my birthday right after school got out and played the hell out of it that summer. It was really special to fire it up, get immersed in the game for a while, then shut it down and go outside with your friends. Tech has taken that world away.

Yeah, there was a box set for each race. I think the orc box was the most common, at least in my area. I remember going to our Apple Store to get my iPod fixed about a month after I got my WC3 copy—their shelves had mostly orc and undead boxes. I never saw a night elf box.

Most old rts games were like that, they all felt repetitive after a while. One of wc3’s best innovations was the variety of gameplay it and other later RTS’s introduced.
