I'm kinda pissed. I'll just one of those other ones everyone's always talking about. The RG300 or whatever the frick it's called.
This is their announcement as to when they'll be shipping the actual product.
Wanna buy one because you definitely didn't get one but the scalpers got tens of thousands?
*crickets*
>$200
Guarantee the autists that buy into this are gonna play one game on it then shelve it forever.
Meanwhile I'm playing all the same games for free right now.
its hardware that emulates the actual consoles hardware, rather than software that emulates the hardware. Typically leads to more accurate emulation and compatibility.
Instead of emulating the components of a gameboy virtually you instead program an FPGA chip to actually do the exact same thing as the hardware components did
fpga emulation is snake oil
how
every core that is available for an fpga is already emulated perfectly in software
isnt the major draw of fpga is that you can use actual carts
there's no technical reason why you cannot do that for a software emulator
lol
I wish Pokemon was vaporware.

Someone told me that this fgba shit will fix the slowdown games experience
Is that true
yeah but so will using a decent cpu
whats this "fpga" thing and how is it any different from just using a software emulator?

FPGAs can simulate a chip given a hardware description of how it is supposed to operate internally. They are often used for prototyping actual chips.
>Playing vidya in public
Shiggy
>pay the same amount as a mobile phone capable of emulating in order to look fifteen times as autistic
Just buy and crack a DSi, holy shit.
or get the better handheld
