Far Cry 6 is set into an alternative timeline that appens with the Walk Away ending from 5.
The Seeds got National Guard'd out of Montana and are now in the pharma business with their Bliss bullshit, Pagan Min is a celebrity as the exiled king of his own country and Vaas is still alive and is a talented smuggler.
The DLCs explain that in the original timeline, Pagan Min gave Seed nukes out of revenge because the CIA fricked with his country, the Jackal from Far Cry 2 supplied Pagan with old soviet nukes and the Seed family with guns, and Vaas who is actually still alive was a good guy all along and killed both his sister and Jason.
There are no other developments, but what it means is that Joseph planned everything from the start and his ending in New Dawn is actual canon.
Oh I forgot to mention, Joseph's DLC goes into the details of his relationship with his other Seed family members, including sexually assaulting Faith every night.
They really turned him into a super smart psychopathic planner.

god i hate this new trend of games needing to be Cinematic Universes where all the random plot point and fan-favorite characters were actually secretly connected all along whoaaaa
there was nothing wrong with the far crys being completely separate stories featuring the glowie as the token recurring cameo
Its always been a cinematic universe though, like you said the glowie was there all along before it was even trendy

yeah but imo there's a big difference between "a cia agent shows up in countries the cia wants to destabilize" and "a south asian dictator gives a midwest american cultist nukes that he got from an african arms dealer and also a schizo from polynesia is there too". one feels realistic, one feels convoluted for the sake of pandering
not saying he was a good leader, but the other potential leaders are just as bad/even worse >Depending on who is the leader of the Golden Path, Ajay can meet with them in respective locations. >Sabal: Sabal will be at the Jalendu Temple where Ajay witnesses him executing supporters of Amita by having their throats slit right in front of Bhadra, who has been crowned Tarun Matara. When Ajay protests, Sabal says that sins must be washed in blood and that the Tarun Matara will understand someday. >Amita: If the player has chosen Amita, she will be in Tirtha, forcibly recruiting children to the Golden Path to become soldiers or work the opium fields. When Ajay asks what Bhadra thinks of this, Amita says that she had her "sent away, and she won't be coming back", implying that she was either sent into exile or was killed.
trading one vicious leader for another isn't worth all the shit ajay goes through, especially considering he had no interest in the conflict to begin with. he might as well go with the vicious leader who actually likes him
the walk away ending was kino except the radio part. "i told you we were living in a world on the brink"
>let's blow up everything
this never happened, he destroyed fricking drug fields. even his religious zealotry at the end was turned up to 11.
Sabal is what kyrat is, not a drug cartel or a modernized dictatorship.
even le secret good ending making ajay the leader isn't better. that the golden path was picking up speed too.
The ending sequence should've been a bliss-induced hallucination
It could still be a sad ending if the deputy is just stuck in a bunker with sneed forever
He is an interesting villain but to bad it was a ubisoft game so they have to find a way to make it shit.
How did they make it shit? He was right AND survived..
The only shit thing I can think of is the fact that his whole operation was dismantled
joseph chuck
Farcry 5 is the only good entry in the series. It's absurd how much better it is.
That's such a controversial opinion, 3 was the best
That's such an ad populum take, 2 was best.
>Mr. Joseph Sneed

arent the glasses a bit too big?

He got retconned in that Far Cry 6 DLC.
kek i didn't know that, how does he even tie in to fc6's setting?

I wonder how many Faiths he went through, there's that one cave that implies he dumped them there.
The frick, how did they ruin Vaas?

Totally yeah, they pushed it
Too bad the newest Fall Cry retconned him into being chaotic evil anyways. Ubisoft really couldn't help themselves.
Waiting for him to come back is objectively the good and correct ending.
He might not have wanted to kill the protag but he was definitely a vicious leader lol be for real

Ajay could've probably controlled Amita by dicking her
