Why is this now being associated with gamepass when it upfront tells you that it's just a rental service. It's like getting mad at a car rental service for not letting you keep the car.
Because OP is a marketer engaging in something called "counter programming."
He makes some really moronic dipshit takes that are instantly sandbagged by people pointing out his specious arguments and how its a pretty decent value if you actually play video games.
Now you don't have to get your hands dirty shilling anything because you create an environment where useful idiots do it for you.
Just sage, report, and hide.
>launch game ONCE while online >can now play offline >can't download the game without being online in the first place
If you were half as clever as you thought you were you'd realize what a moronic fricking ESL you are.
>The games are installed you fricking idiot:
Okay, now read the second step of the instructions.
How can you be this pedantic and illiterate at the same time? The worms in your brain have a higher IQ than you do.
I dropped it this month because nothing I want is coming out. I'm not subsidizing all the junk. Let's see those first party AAA games Microsoft keeps talking about.
I did the gold stacking trick to get something like 3 years for 100 kangaroo koins (the price of a full price AAA these days). And even when I start paying sub it'll be less than humble.
Lets me try the big names that I'm curious about without dropping proper cash, although at the moment I'm just normieing it up with powerwash sim.
Honestly, I churn through too many games with 4 hours played to be bothered about 'owning' 2/3rds of them.
No.
Imagine buying a system that is an underpowered pc with no exclusives that has ads in its dashboard and whose controller requires an internet connection and updates on top of the updates you need for the console firmware and software while you rent games temporarily from a subscription based service that get taken away from you when they decide it's time regardless of if you've finished them or not and also you also have to pay another fee to play online.
Lol no.
I was going to try it for the free month, but even though I have Win 10 it says that my version is not new enough. So I just dropped it and never looked back and nothing of value was lost.
Literally no other software is forcing you to have a specific version, but of course it's just a way to force you to update. Frick microshit.
I see no reason to sub on a regular basis. I'd just sub for 1 month and play what I want and then unsub. So when Skyrim in Space comes out I'll just use free trial sub for 1 month and beat it and then unsub until another Microsoft exclusive releases.
Just canceled mine. Thrash offerings mostly for months now.
How do they know? I was using a secondary account...
They know all...
do you think you own your games on steam?
I can play my Steam games when the servers are down so yes
>muh whataboutism
seethe
yes i have a perpetual license to them
I can easily torrent the games even if Steam tries to do something fricky in the future.
do you need a recurring fee to play steam games?
all my steam games run without the client so yes
>most games work 100% offline
>changing one ini file and a modifying the exe, even allows you to play the games without steam being installed at all
Any game I can launch without steam needing to be installed, yes.
>Environmental Station Alpha
>baba is You
>Hollow Knight
>A robot Named Fight
>Astebreed
>Satazius
The ones that don't launch need only a modified ini or dll.
Imagine thinking that anyone who shits on these subscription models is automatically a Steam fan.
>ignoring the last 10 b...but i can modify the exe and play if offline steam copers
lmao

>its ok because its "upfront"
Please get a vasectomy and never procreate.
Yeah it is, rental services exist everywhere. How are you going to act cheated when gamepass is advertised as a rental service.
I don't see what this has to do with gamepass but by all means lobby against it. It's a good thing to fight

How does Microsoft's legal team explain this:?
>launch game ONCE while online
>can now play offline
>can't download the game without being online in the first place

Pretty sure the israelites who will own my property and work will be happy.
I own nothing and I am unhappy
How much does OP get paid to shill these threads daily.
What games have you been playing? I already did mass effect.. tried that return to wonderland game and didn't care for it. Outer worlds was awful
A lot of the free games don't look fun. I'm not playing banjo kakooie or that nonsense. And there's a bunch of hockey games etc
Replaying the Halo series currently. Next up will be the Dead space series and funny enough Mass effect.
More lies from Microsoft
Truly an evil corporation
I can't even launch from the _LOCAL_ files folders I created lmao
So cloud sync is forced into your games even in "offline" mode?
I dropped it this month because nothing I want is coming out. I'm not subsidizing all the junk. Let's see those first party AAA games Microsoft keeps talking about.
There goes my games library...

Well no shit it has to check it, or you can just download every game and never go online essentially keeping them forever
That's not "offline"
It says for "offline play" so you can "play" it offline. Says nothing about being able to launch it offline
That's not offline. Die.
dilate
You're a moron if you think a service that gives temporary access to a game won't check if you can still access it
Glad I only spent $1 on this shit. Never again.
Keep drinking bill gates kool aid goy
You vill own natsing, and you vill be happy!
seethe
I'm good for a while, but it does annoy me it says its expiring.
No.

It's awful. I even said Game Pass PC was better than EGS and they do this lol. Back to Steam.
I like it for the indie games tbh. I would have never played Shenzhen I/O at $20, but it's fun to try a lot of different games.
>95% shovelware and indie shit
Game pass has unironically saved me so much money not spending money on shitty games
Lol no.

GamePass is Bliss.
I've played more games over the past two years than at any point in my life.
I will own everything and you will seethe.

>subscriptions…ARE LE GOOD!
>pirating…is le bad…
remember when they doubled the price and backpedaled after normies got mad
>remember when they doubled the price and backpedaled after normies got mad
Yes I remember them not being dicks and actually listening to their fans.
If there's one true absolute of this gen: Microsoft are the good guys.
not worth it. i enjoy games too thoroughly on top of enjoying owning them anyway.
I have it. Haven’t bought a game in 2 years since any game I want to play with friends is on it. Cozy.
