And due to the undisclosed marketing I now have a poor opinion of the product and will likely never buy it. I despise dishonest posters and now associate him with the device.
2, I got the same thing and I love it. Been mostly playing rom hacks. I gave ya a 2 because you know something better wiki come out next week... always the case.
>wait a minute. did you just make a single-letter transposition typo? HEHEHEHEHEHEHEHEHHEHEHEHEHEHHEHEHEHEHEHE! A TYPO!!!!!!!! A TYPO!!!!!!!!! HEHEHEHEHEHEHEHHEHEHE!!!!!! OOPS? WHAT'S A CHARI???? I DON'T KNOW WHAT A CHARI IS!!!!!!! YOU WANT ME TO SIT ON A CHARI???? WHAT THE FRICK ARE YOU TALKING ABOUT HEHEHEHEHEHEHEHEHEHEHEHE
my dear third worlder there is a difference between a random typo or lack of punctuation and someone not being able to properly use English. for your next campaign I recommend paying attention to these details

The Miyoo Mini and Plus cannot play PS2 or GameCube games, it tops out at PS1. There are some Switch-sized handhelds that can do much of the PS2 and GameCube libraries, but they tend to run Android instead of Linux. You can also look into the handheld PC market at that point. Both options tend to be much more expensive than the smaller handhelds like in the OP.
> it tops out at PS1.
Topping out at PS1 gives it too much credit, PS1 is the exception because it emulates really well on low-end hardware, for reasons I don't quite understand. The Miyoo Mini(Plus) cannot emulate N64 or Saturn games even though these should be in the same ballpark as PS1 emulation. The honest thing to say is that it handles all 2D-oriented consoles/handhelds.
>Topping out at PS1 gives it too much credit, PS1 is the exception because it emulates really well on low-end hardware, for reasons I don't quite understand.
I don't know WTF you are trying to say. >The Miyoo Mini(Plus) cannot emulate N64 or Saturn games even though these should be in the same ballpark as PS1 emulation
You don't know shit about emulation then. Saturn is one of the harder systems to emulate, and the N64 is harder to emulate than the PS1. >The honest thing to say is that it handles all 2D-oriented consoles/handhelds.
It can emulate the PS1 at a perfect framerate.
that's what I'm saying, PS1 is an exception. N64 and Saturn are "below or equal to" PS1 and the Miyoo can't handle them. It can only do the PS1 and 2d stuff.
>N64 and Saturn are "below or equal to" PS1
They objectively are not. They are two extremely difficult consoles to emulate. Gamecube is easier to emulate than the fricking Saturn.
Stuff like the Retroid Pocket 3 can do SOME PS2 but it's very inconsistent.
If that's the main thing you're interested in I'd look into the Steam Deck, I've played several PS2 games on mine with no issues
I picked one up because they're only like 50 bucks, they're mostly junk. The D-pad is atrocious, and nobody talks about it. Fast movements from one side of the pad to the other don't cause a rocking motion, like in something properly designed, it kind of awkwardly flattens in the middle and jumps with a loud click half the time. Makes it essentially unusable for any action game.
The software is awful, your standard opensores garbage where you have to configure 80 settings per game because the system can't be set up to do it for you. Games that display in unique resolution formats require game specific setup, the range of filters on offer are incredibly basic but the awful screen resolution probably prevents you from using anything fancier anyway. Want to play GBA without it looking like total shit? Enjoy using a fraction of the screen size. It gets even more laughable if you want to play anything TATE, you have to use non-integer scaling and deal with artifacts everywhere if you don't want to play in a postage stamp.
As a quick way to play tetris on the go, it's passable. I wouldn't use it for anything else.
Tron Bonne started right up for me. Are they just not booting for you? If so, you might have the wrong region for the game compared to your BIOS. Also, make sure you are using OnionOS, not the bullshit that comes with it stock.
Not sure then anon. I can say that Tron Bonne booted right up for me, no issues. The only time that I had a problem where game wouldn't boot for me was because it was a EU game and I was using a US bios.
Are you me? My RG35XX is arriving today. Heard lots of good things and the negatives seem tm be outweighed by how cheap these things are. Recently went travelling with duckstation on my phone and a DS4 and that blew my mind. Really excited for this.
>relatively powerful budget chinkboy >no analog sticks
Nah, really the only upgrade you get here over a cheaper stickless chinkboy is that you can play the PSX games that didn't utilize the analog sticks, and that you can play 3D GBA and SNES games.
If you got it using those coupon shenanigans and bought it for really cheap, then that's a good deal, have fun, but if you got it at/near full price, no, spending that much extra for shit ergonomics and the ability to play a few more games isn't worth it.
Also I hear the screen isn't glued into the device very well, probably a good idea to google it, just in case I'm remembering it correctly.
bought one of these and its almost same shit I assume.
its nice but action games make my fingers hurt. its a bit too small for me.
I mostly use it for RPGs and puzzle games though so its ok.
cant be higher than a 5 IF you bought it from their official store and not some reseller like a dipshit. think their suggest price is no higher than sixty bucks
what the frick is it about my monkey-ass consoomer-ass brain that wants the Miyoo Mini+ despite not actually using my current Miyoo Mini very much any more? The only 2 handhelds I use now despite owning 3 chinkhelds are my IPS GBA and Switch
the miyoo mini is so small it's basically a gimmick. The MMP is a much more reasonable size that you can actually play, although multi-hour sessions will get a bit uncomfortable. It's the perfect size imo.
This shit is always made with asian hands in mind
I don't want a steamy pile of shit deck, I want something similar in size to a PSP or a Vita that can play up to gen 5 videogames >inb4 buy a Vita
No
As someone who owns one, it's a solid 8/10 handheld. It's pocketable but unless you exclusively play JRPGs, you WILL get hand cramps playing longer than 30 minutes on it.
looks comfy
5/10
its not a frick up to like a thing, but you are a frick up for looking for validation from strangers online. touch grass
This thread gets posted every fricking night
And due to the undisclosed marketing I now have a poor opinion of the product and will likely never buy it. I despise dishonest posters and now associate him with the device.
This isn't marketing, it's just trending because it's cool and fills a need that people had
2, I got the same thing and I love it. Been mostly playing rom hacks. I gave ya a 2 because you know something better wiki come out next week... always the case.
This thing looks cool enough for me to want to buy, but I can't justify it since I don't like many GBA games.
It play everything up to PS1.
> it play
ofc it's a third worlder shill thread. with that said, those things are actually pretty cool
>No capitals.
>No full stop at end of sentence.
Pot be black gay.

It's probably good for SNES games too.
I've been considering getting one of these since the ads like to show off PS2 and GC games. Can any of them actually do that or is it lies?

Play at least 1 hour straight then tell us how comfy it is.

What a cute little dude
you didnt, qt. wanna chat about retro games? shoot me your discord ;3
lower half looks cramped to hold. would've been better if there was more room for your hands.
0/10 because you no longer have kid hands and holding one of these is impossible.
How do I run Mega Man Legends on this thing? I can play most PS1 games with no problems, but the MML and Tron Bonne games don't work.
Tron Bonne started right up for me. Are they just not booting for you? If so, you might have the wrong region for the game compared to your BIOS. Also, make sure you are using OnionOS, not the bullshit that comes with it stock.
I'm using OnionOS and I've been trying to use the EU and US versions.
I'm using the BIOS files from the stock SD card though.
Not sure then anon. I can say that Tron Bonne booted right up for me, no issues. The only time that I had a problem where game wouldn't boot for me was because it was a EU game and I was using a US bios.
That's okay. I will just brute force myself through varios rom sites and try all possible roms till I find one that works.
Are you me? My RG35XX is arriving today. Heard lots of good things and the negatives seem tm be outweighed by how cheap these things are. Recently went travelling with duckstation on my phone and a DS4 and that blew my mind. Really excited for this.
Zero. I'm playing Zelda LA, ALTP and Super Metroid with randomizers right now and I can't stop.

Why wouldn't I pick an Ambernic that feels good to the touch and has nice buttons?
As someone who owns one, it's a solid 8/10 handheld. It's pocketable but unless you exclusively play JRPGs, you WILL get hand cramps playing longer than 30 minutes on it.
i bought one too. playing pokemon blazed glazed right now. what are some other good GBA pokemon romhacks?
