There are 2 things that bother me with this game: the scrolling point is way too close to the edge of the screen, and things like conveyor belt and ice affect the player even when he jumps above them. Fixing the first issue was only a one byte change, but nobody ever fixed the second.
It was okay. Ninja Gaiden is better known for a reason, while Power Blade is more fun. I don't fault anybody for enjoying the game but I really don't see why anybody would list it as their favorite, unless they only played Kabuki and Ninja Gaiden but REALLY hated those fricking birds.
I'll give Kabuki Quantum Fighter this: It didn't have the bird bullshit that Ninja Gaiden did.
Considering this was the NES era, when even 16 bit games like Fist of The North Star or Ranma were being completely changed into something else to "Americanize" them, I'm surprised they kept the whole Kabuki thing instead of changing that.
What a weird concept too, guy goes into a computer Tron-style and it turns him into a Kabuki character. They even had a screen showing scrolling assembly code in the background as the character enters the computer.
It looks a lot like Batman. This was HES that developed it IIRC.
Really could have used a westernization with a different main character.
Street Fighter 2035: Ryu's Cyber Battle
Or western developers could have learned to make their games good instead of stealing from Japan
what about it?
why's he wearing a traffic cone on his head?
He uses his long hair to attack. And frick the final boss and its weird hitbox.
Not one of the harder NES games. The Mexican Runner beat it in a little less than one hour.
Kys, moron.

What? Is his super power having a bunch of guys jerk off on him? Or is it making clones of himself and they jerk off on his anymies?
yeah pretty much
That's not kabuki, that's bukakke
Cool game.
based dyslexic anon
That's not dyslexia

Sgt. Kabukiman got his own video game?
