Kind of lost interest in this game when super mutants come into play, doesn't help that they kill my item mules so easily. Is this the common opinion? I kinda just want to go to 2 instead of finishing.

Not really, you're near the end so finish it.
Power Armor + Ripper, i was killing whole squads of mutants alone, in fact no one could stand in my way except for the final boss, i had to switch my weapon for him.
Ah, alright. I'll try that, I was kinda trying to save my companions and I can't carry much while using power armor so I'm wearing the brotherhood combat armor. I'm not really built for melee, most of my points are in energy weapons. Might brute force it like this. I'm just not having much fun at this point. Rest of the game was awesome.
2 fixes the party member problem and they can level up and go toe to toe with big bosses, and there's a ton more of them so you can sacrifice a couple here and there.
Nice, hopefully it's easier to equip them with weapons? I've given up on Ian, he's hellbent on melee when he runs out of ammo.
You get +3 strength with the power armor and don't forget to upgrade it, although i have to admit my build was for melee, 10 agility and endurance and 7 strength, you will probably have a better time against the final boss than me, in case of emergency make a save before the final boss.
I never picked up party members in Fallout 1. I was the lone ranger of the wasteland dispensing my own justice.
>There's a weird contingent of people that don't like FO2 for whatever reason
Some people just don't like the atmosphere, they prefer 1's story and mood and I can respect that. I cannot respect the morons that say it's too "funny" or it has too many references. 1 had just as much but it never gets mentioned for some reason. I personally think 2 is the superior game in almost every way.
OP do not install the restoration mod for your first FO2 playthrough.
No worries, wasn't planning to do any mods aside from resolution stuff, same with FO1.
2 isn't any better. Fallout 1 is the best
1 is better than 2.
Party members in Fallout 1 are expendable. If you're getting frustrated with them dying, it is because you are operating under every other RPG's logic where you want to keep them alive. Fallout 1 even has an entire area at the end that is basically designed to kill your followers.
This, even the post-game lore points out that your followers never had a chance to survive
Companions in Fallout 1 may as well be supposed to die. It will be frustrating if you try to keep them alive throughout the entire game. At some point just cut your losses, you'll be strong enough to survive on your own eventually.
>No snes or genesis or N64 or psx port
Why
Because none of those systems are capable of running the game.
Yes it is it's called downgrade
Hell yeah
>1997
>snes or genesis
>I got filtered because I suck
How does one struggle in an wrpg
>random sixteen year old kid walks out of a Vault for the first time in his life
>Nearby town is apparently dying because of radscorpions
>sixteen year old kid easily kills all the radscorpions by himself
>"OH THANK YOU GREAT VAULT DWELLER YOU HAVE SAVED OUR CIVILIZATION PLEASE LET ME SUCK YOUR wiener".
I thought people said this game had good writing. This is honestly more pathetic than Fallout 3.
Idk if anyone ever praises 1 for its writing outside of how dumb your character is at low intelligence. Fallout 1 is all about the role play, with a rusty coat of lead paint.
i thoguht a low int run would be fun boy was i wrong
