>fromsoft games except sekiro have terrible stories, yet they are good
No moron, a sparse story that you fill in the blanks is not the same as a story full of nonsense cutscenes and constant chatter about absolutely nothing of importance.
Kingdom Hearts would be a better franchise if the story was very simple and if the player had to use their imaginations more about why the world was the way it was.
I just can't comprehend how adult men play this guy's "games" >borderline homosexual laughably designs >1/10 writing and worldbuilding >mediocre gameplay
Just the ending alone felt rushed and left much to be desired. I guess I could mention the dummied out content (>https://finalfantasy.fandom.com/wiki/Final_Fantasy_VII_dummied_content) but if we were to go on that, all games would be considered incomplete
>rushed
it took up a whole disc
you don't have to like it but it was clearly what they wanted to do and they made of the most impressive, expensive and definitely PLANNED endings videogames had ever seen at that point.
just because a handful of dimwits went "huh????" at the end doesn't mean it was """rushed"""
please tell me when you say "left much left to be desired" you have an actual example and not just some sad aspie shipper complaint like "but I wanna see cloti more!!!!"

Maybe I expect characters to have some kind of closure instead of something you have to overclock your brain and project an array of symbolism on. FF6 had closure for characters, not necessarily a happy ending but still it was closure. FF7 classic ended with a zoom up of Aerith's face some credits and a timeskip of Red XIII and his asexuallly produced children running the land. If you're conditioning yourself to say that's fine, I'm not here to insult you for it. I'm just saying a normal person wouldn't feel satisfied with that ending.
Remake had something that felt like an ending for that chapter because the problem with FF7 original is that it tried to push the planet as the most important character whereas FF7 remake at least understands you're invested in the characters. So yeah, the least I expect is an ending that lets us know where the characters are headed instead of thinking the audience would be fulfilled with knowing whether or not the Planet would be fine at the end.
More power to your tastes. but understand not everyone should strive to be you.

Such as? They all had full arcs in the game. Do you just want a post meteor fall scene where each character is shown what they did later on and say what lesson they learned?

Again, basing from what I've played of remake, I like how it lays the foundation for what Cloud could do with his life once this whole mess is done. We had hints of that in Advent Children and Dirge of Cerberus, like how Shinra is still around but characters like Reeve want to do good in the company or how Barrett could continue to raise Marlene but not necessarily leave out Elmyra from taking care of her or just seeing what's to become of everyone who lived in Midgar, now crushed to debris.
It's not as though beating the bad guy makes a complete ending, there's a whole world involved for the game and Midgar seems to be the most affected by catastrophe and it leaves a lot of citizens homeless but Shinra is all but destroyed since it has other operations. One of the biggest questions is going to be what happens next for more than just the main characters since there's a lot going on in the game than just chasing the villain. My point is that there's a reason to be unfulfilled by the ending for reasons that don't involve who Cloud gets to frick but rather what hope does the world have to go on living besides avoiding death by a giant space rock. At the very least, I can see remake existing to answer those kinds of questions or at least give a more respectful hint that things get better at the end than the talking magic mountain lion that thinks he's a dog.

as someone who was actually alive back when ff7 was new, nobody liked the ending at the time. the compilation exists because ff7's ending was universally seen as a letdown compared to the rest of the game.
i'm guessing some e-celeb must have pretended the ending was good to get attention, which is why we have so many zoomies defending it now.

>nobody liked the ending at the time
I did
But I'm sure you'll keep saying this dumb shit for years anyway
Because he perfectly taps into that juvenile autistic appeal that most people lose in adulthood. KH is very expensive crossover fan-fiction and that's why it's successful.
The plot is absolutely ridiculous and that's why I love it. It's Nomura'a autistic fever dream of Disney and JRPG characters teaming up to fight the darkness.
I mean, it did. It wanted to tell a simple coming of age adventure story about good triumphing over evil and it executed it perfectly. It actually understood that sometimes less can be more when it comes to writing.
I agree that it's good and that it all slowly fell apart after 1, I just don't think I'd go that far when the entire conceit of the game is completely ludicrous and also a very corporate "adventure" through valuable and recognisable IPs.
At the end of the day no matter how well executed it is, from the offset it loses "stellar" writing status by being a completely inconsistent mishmash of characters and worlds and only 20% (at most) of the content is actually an original creation of the writer.
You wouldn't praise the writing of Ready Player One as stellar for the same reason. Even if it was written well, he didn't come up with BTTF, Jurassic Park, Akira, Superman and all the other shit he's shamelessly smooshing together. The real work to make these characters and worlds interesting and loved was done elsewhere, by other people.
Ganker literally cannot understand Kingdom Hearts on a fundamental level. And yes I am referring to Ganker as one person, because if you think I don't mean you, then you're wrong. I mean YOU specifically. Only other boards or websites can understand it. Ganker is too stupid.
The thing that made me give up on the kh story was the khux offline theatre mode. I was finally hyped to get to experience the story without the gacha shit, only to find out they didn’t take the time to put the cutscenes in chronological order. Was the wake up call that they not only don’t know how to write a story, but also don’t give a frick because dumbass fans eat that shit up.
Thanks for reading my blog 🙂
I love seeing Mickey Mouse and friends involved in authentic anime bullshit. Donald Duck casts a fricking ultra tier Flare and final flashes the frick out of Sephiroth gay baby edition and people will seriously tell me that isn't fricking kino. They can suck my rancid fricking dick lmao.
Because story isnt the only thing in a videogame

Don't worry anon, many people have been filtered by kino before you and you certainly won't be the last.
are you excited for ever crisis, jimbo?
how could anyone not be?

exactly. silly question.
I disagree with the last part.
A more accurate description might be "incomplete"

How so

Of course
Low T bing bing wahoo soiface crying about problematic designs.

Nobody takes the story seriously, they just want to hit stuff with cool moves

...according to reddit.
kingdom hearts lives because of nostalgia
Bc Tetsuya Nomura has been allowed to do whatever the frick he wants since FF7
WTF
His products created a generation of autists who continue to buy them
KH1 had stellar writing. It was KH2 where things started to gradually go off the rails in the story department.
>stellar
calm down

Because the story is interesting and makes sense which people are interested in. People enjoy long storytelling.
Only v/ hates kingdom hearts and nomura. Everyone else likes it
Do you think your autism plays a role in how much you like kingdom hearts and its story?

Making posts indistinguishable from bots is proof of Ganker's mental moronation. You will NEVER pass the Turing Test.
I thought it was a fair question, but if you don't want to answer that's fine
frick off you annoying homosexual spammer
