Bad, not ergonomic positioning, stick drift after 2 years and "loose" feeling like the N64 joystick.
Mushy d-pad which still doesn't have the octagonal layout when the Saturn figured out it's the best forever ago.
2 hour battery life.
DS4 windows or be a slave to Steam
You don't use the gyno
Hori rips off the xbox layout when making playstation controllers
There's a reason everyone rips off the xbox. You don't see people using a dualshock in fighting games yet pad players exist. Nostalgia gays are cancer.
LITERALLY the only controller in the industry that doesn't have gyro
THE ONLY ONE
I have rechargeables I've been using for years. Being able to actually charge the controller itself like the duelshocks would be nice, if it wasn't for the fact the controller itself dies super quickly after prolonged use, requiring the need to consistently plug it in to the console itself like some sort of savage from the 90s and early 2000s.
I like both controllers, but I feel like most people that wage their homosexual little console war purposely refuse to acknowledge both the pros and cons of each of them.
I have one of those, having backbuttons and the turbo is nice, but I still find the Xbox controller nicer to hold, more durable, and convenient with its replaceable batteries
Have sense never used the gyro once.
The trackpad has a loose screew I can hear it.
The adaptive triggers don't work on PC and have 0 support in general.
The thumb sticks make clicking noises the battery lasts 2h if you play racing games.
Not comfy for when you're in bed, or on the couch, or in a plane
I know some of you poop sockers never leave the desk in your mother's basement, but try to think about how other people play games differently

How's the Logitech F310 both durability and functionality wise since that older model is out of production?
I'm primarily a keyboard user but some games just (mostly console ports to PC) play better with a controller.
Literally worst controller I've ever held. Triggers are too far out. buttons are spaced awkwardly. I personally hate PS thumb stick placement. I just give it to whoever the 4th player is to make them suffer. Just buy a PDP xbox controller for the same price, it'll feel far better.
recently got one cause it was on sale and wanted a wired controller for PC/Switch, it's amazing for the price honestly, obviously the case is pretty cheap but the buttons are good and feel good to me, haven't touched my ps4 controller since I got it. If you're mentally unstable and hit your controller on the desk or rage on it or something it'll break in a week I guess.
If you don't want to spend too much money just get it, if you wanna pay more get something better but it's hard to beat the price
Just got one and so far it's been fine but i haven't really put it through the ringer. My only complaint is the position of the bumpers. I feel that they're too far from where my fingers naturally rest on the triggers so I have to sort of stretch my finger out to hit it

nintendo switch pro is good and better if you fix the d-pad

I just bought a series S. Really like the controller, can't decide if I like it or the Switch Pro controller more. I like them both for very different reasons. That said Sony doesn't hold a fricking candle to either with that god awful joystick placement and trigger design for handlets
Yes, they've been slimming down each new controller iteration since OG Duke. So we went from a little bit too thick to it being manlet-tears sized now. People genuinely don't know how to settle in the middle like they did with the wired 360. Perfect shape and it did not have that shitty battery bulge like the wireless model did.
, you could say the same for the Series controllers.
I used to use the Pro Controller for all 3rd person games and shitty console ports, then the FF7R EGS version forced me to pick up and Xbone controller and I haven't looked back since.

I would however recommend getting the wireless dongle if you plan to use it on a pc.
Yeah I have PC/PS5/Switch so no plans to get an Xbox, but why a dongle? It doesnt have Bluetooth built in, or does that just provide a more stable connection?
Is there a way to turn the power LED off or really to just lower it on PC?
It's the only thing I hate about this fricking controller, everything else feels great.
Same man, same. Is there anything even similar on the market?
Retrobit put out a tweet some time back saying that they're still working on this and a Genesis controller with analog sticks. Their quality control is dog shit though. I have two saturn controllers and a genesis one. One saturn controller is perfect and the other feels cheap and the buttons rattle. The genesis one is in the middle
Thanks. I was actually standing in my room and saw one of these drive by outside and I realized how much I like earth/shit colors. So kind of tacticool I guess?
Series controller gives me cramp too often to be worth the trouble of using tbh. Silicone sleeve only kinda helps, I use a DS4 with an adapter rn I hate the defective double pressing face buttons too
>no gyro >literally rehashing 2001 technology
as an fps leader in the console space is laughable how they haven't adopted this years old tech yet
either haloBlack folk are oblivious to how much they're getting spoon-feed with auto-aim or just moronic
When do the buttons on the Xbox One controller stop being clicky?
I wanna use it because the Dpad is superior, but holy frick pressing XYAB is so annoying
Blame Corsair/SCUF, it's their patent sitting that's preventing the industry from widely adopting it (Microsoft have to pay SCUF to use paddles on the Elite controllers)
Real talk. I haven't got my own but have used a friend's, is the Sexbox controller small than the Xbone? It seems the same at a glance but the feeling in my hands are telling me something is off.

The asymmetrical control sticks piss me of.
I prefer the PS controllers.
Yes, right thumb on buttons and left thumb on stick is fine despite they are no symmetrical.
The Xbox one controller? Not much. But the new SeX/S? It's pretty nice. Especially the bumpers. Face buttons make claw grip easier if you do that for some games.
There was one anon that complained about how shitty the d-pad is, but everything else about it is solid. If the d-pad is fixed it would probably be one of the best controllers.
never used an Xbox pad and kinda wanna try the sexbox one, but heard the bumpers essentially turn to dust after a few months due to moronic shit design
how true is that?
The joysticks on this are so bad. They feel insanely loose and with zero tension. There isn't any drift, but I have never had a joystick with no resistance on it.
Worth a shot. Amazon have a lax return policy and seldom give a shit, and what alternative do you have since Microsoft is pretty much closed off from you anyway.
Why would anyone choose this large piece of shit over the dual sense is beyond me, PD5 controllers are supported natively on Steam and all emulators now so its pointless to get anything else.
Yeah but how many games have full haptic feedback and adaptive trigger support. I'm not spending $70 for a controller with features that are useless 90% of the time
I just finished Metroid dread on Yuzu with my Dual sense and the controllers vibrates and rumbles like a regular switch controller would, the Emulator and both steam supports haptic feedback and motion controls as well as vibration support. Only steam at the moment supports adaptive triggers and only on a few games.
Face buttons are secondary.
You always have left thumb for movement and right for camera, click a button then return to the analogs.
Trigger and shoulder buttons are used more than the face buttons.
Again, are you a homosexual that use auto target?
>You always have left thumb for movement
Then left stick should be in the primary position
>Then left stick should be in the primary position
Then the right stick should be in the primary position as well.
>Face buttons are secondary
Open GTA, Souls-game, or any FPS with a controller. Then you hopefully can make use of that smooth brain and realize you're always having both thumbs on the analog 95% of the time.

yeah, you want the official xbox controller? shell out like 120 euro, otherwise you're stuck buying a dogshit chinkware versions of the xbox controller endorsed by microshit themselves, such as PDP or PowerA, which will break within 3 months of purchase
confirmation bias, the only people who are going to be publicly having an opinion on paddles are people who go out of the way to buy controllers with paddles, because they want paddles, ie "serious" console FPS players
and if you play an fps "seriously" with a controller or on console, you've already automatically invalidated your own opinion
so what is the best dpad in a 50-70$ budget? im trying to get in to fighters and other 3d games but mostly fighters so what is a good controller to get a great dpad?
I honestly really like the new xbone dpad for GG+R but it really depends on how you like the feel of the dpad. I'm not sure if stores have series x or ps5 kiosks where you can try out the controller first.
each direction makes a click which I personally like and it feels fine to roll your thumb on, although sometimes if you roll for half circle back when you go down to back it feels like it gets a little stuck but it doesn't mess with the actual input or speed. It could just be my controller though.
It's fine for me, if you get one make sure the dpad looks like this. It should show it on the box.

stick placement literally does not matter at all, sorry
it's up to the game developer to not force players to use a claw grip, other than that placement is irrelevant
Then you're unable to use a Shitbox controller or a Snoy controller, and are therefore forced to use
Only if both analogs are in the same position.
since you say your hand don't change shape, and are unable to use a Shitbox or Snoy analog since one of the analogs are placed wrong.
But you're also unable to use the face buttons and D-pad on the WiiU controller.
Damn, must be hard to have a hand unable to mover your thumbs.
Right thumb swaps constantly between face buttons and right stick. We already went over this. Also since camera inputs are almost always just sweeping left and right its better to have the right stick lower because your thumb will be pushing or drawing back on your thumbs Y axis which is easier and more natural than than side to side thumb movements on an X axis like WiiU makes you do.
>Right thumb swaps constantly between face buttons and right stick. We already went over this. >And they return to the analog stick every time.
A click on the face button and then back to the main purpose of the analog stick; camera, because I fricking hope you're not a homosexual that clicks the analog to auto target enemies.
And since the two analogs are the primary inputs, it's >easier and more natural
to have them symmetrical.
And you said >than side to side thumb movements on an X axis like WiiU makes you do.
Therefore the lower analog is better, and symmetrical is better than asymmetrical.
Therefore it's down to one controller. >Lower analog >Symmetrical layout. >??????
Name the controller that have those criteria.
Hint: Not the fecal matter Shitbox controller.
>still forcing that every single game is a first person shooter
Lol. If that were the case then kbm would be superior to dual analog >easier and more natural to have them symmetrical >symmetry for the sake of visual symmetry
Gay. Neither stick relies on the other stick and they are operated separately so this is false. Do you think manual transmission automobiles should have a second steering wheel to shift gears, that would be LE SYMMETRY so obviously that would he easier, right? Keyboards should have two sets of keys, one for each hand, and two sets of mouses? Wrong.
You are seething.

Which Xbox controller is best for PC gaming? Ive been using DS5 its a pain in the ass to swap between PC/PS5 all the time.

Thank you. I dont play much comp shit so I'm fine without it, I'll be getting the Core.

Thanks. I was actually standing in my room and saw one of these drive by outside and I realized how much I like earth/shit colors. So kind of tacticool I guess?
I use a wired 360 controller that I've had for over 10 years
it still works fine for racing games
nice quads bro
Series controller gives me cramp too often to be worth the trouble of using tbh. Silicone sleeve only kinda helps, I use a DS4 with an adapter rn
I hate the defective double pressing face buttons too
I dont mind a cable
nice
Sirs!
Got this one a few months ago. Haven't played with a controller since the Wii days, but I'm liking it so far.
I like it
>Xbox
Also I cannot read
bought this PowerA wired controller recently, starting to like it more than my DS4
>no gyro
>literally rehashing 2001 technology
as an fps leader in the console space is laughable how they haven't adopted this years old tech yet
either haloBlack folk are oblivious to how much they're getting spoon-feed with auto-aim or just moronic
Every controller I buy to use on my PC ends up developing drift in as little as two weeks. I'm cursed.
When do the buttons on the Xbox One controller stop being clicky?
I wanna use it because the Dpad is superior, but holy frick pressing XYAB is so annoying
Back buttons should be industry standard. Frick them for making me buy the 3rd powerA shit
It's smaller. High speed, low drag.
I loved the wired 360 controller so much, I wish I saved the one I had as a kid. Not having the battery lump was great for rubbing my ring fingers across the back
Nobody cares snoy boy
It would have drifted by now
>Feathers

indians are gay
>Held back the industry standard because no gyro
All game would have include the BOTW aiming style if Microsoft isn't being israelite
The asymmetrical control sticks piss me of.
I prefer the PS controllers.
Yes, right thumb on buttons and left thumb on stick is fine despite they are no symmetrical.
I'm a PC user I don't kneel to my Gaming™ tools.
God I'm such a Gamer™.
well done (You), top pisstake
I am still using the 360 one for my PC, what are the benefits of using the newer version(s)?
The Xbox one controller? Not much. But the new SeX/S? It's pretty nice. Especially the bumpers. Face buttons make claw grip easier if you do that for some games.
Sorry mate, but I prefer the DS5 controller.
Kneel.
Fricking disgusting.
>Can't lean and aim at the same time
Controller makers are fricking moronic for trying to give your thumb extra shit to do
>fat people
>anime
The D-pad placement sucks and has sucked for the past 3 generations.
*5 generations.
For me is wired.
Anyone have one of these?
I need symmetrical sticks and the 8bitdo always felt off for some reason and I only use it for nintendo games really
>I need symmetrical sticks
Xbone has the best dpad, wish someone would make a dual shock shaped controller with the Xbox dpad for retro games
Anyone bought one of these?
There was one anon that complained about how shitty the d-pad is, but everything else about it is solid. If the d-pad is fixed it would probably be one of the best controllers.
Not that guy but I don't really use dpad, seeing that I don't play fighting games. This might be good for me then, I need something robust.
is there a good controller that has a dpad like the Vita?
never used an Xbox pad and kinda wanna try the sexbox one, but heard the bumpers essentially turn to dust after a few months due to moronic shit design
how true is that?
The joysticks on this are so bad. They feel insanely loose and with zero tension. There isn't any drift, but I have never had a joystick with no resistance on it.
>left stick gets drift and can't even pay to send it in for repairs
thank you microsoft
>buy another off amazon
>send the defective one back
ezpz
I didn't buy it online and my warranty is expired
Brothernon, buy ANOTHER off amazon, send them back the old one
Oh I read bad, would that still work even if I took the sticker on the back off when trying to fix it myself?
Worth a shot. Amazon have a lax return policy and seldom give a shit, and what alternative do you have since Microsoft is pretty much closed off from you anyway.
This exchange was funnier than it should have been.
Are there any controllers that don't get stick drift? I need one for my PC and the powera ones are garbage. Are the official xbox ones any better?
No. They all use the same garbage switches from the same factory.
I don't like the new shape but I guess zoomers are a little wristed small hand b***hes now
I want a controller with fans in it just because it's moronic.
they exist
You better not be fricking with me, I thought they just stopped making them after PS2 era
Hell yeah this looks stupid, just like the PS2 controllers
why do all logitech controllers look like shit
>try to use this controller
>some tron homie cuts my hand off
>why do all logitech controllers look like shit
as opposed to fricking bright neon pink highlights?
what the hell is this RGB gamer shit?
You wouldn't get it
ive definitely seen one posted here before for sweaty ass hands
They blow
That sounds cool.
Not with that D-pad.
that d-pad is the best d-pad since sega saturn
t. owned a japanese sega saturn when it came out, imported
Why would anyone choose this large piece of shit over the dual sense is beyond me, PD5 controllers are supported natively on Steam and all emulators now so its pointless to get anything else.
DS Dpad fricking sucks
>large
What kind of babby hands do you have?
Yeah but how many games have full haptic feedback and adaptive trigger support. I'm not spending $70 for a controller with features that are useless 90% of the time
I just finished Metroid dread on Yuzu with my Dual sense and the controllers vibrates and rumbles like a regular switch controller would, the Emulator and both steam supports haptic feedback and motion controls as well as vibration support. Only steam at the moment supports adaptive triggers and only on a few games.
>large
>t. donald trump
>large piece of shit
Dualsense is larger than Xbox series controllers
>Large
>Dual Sense
Yikes.
>pay gorillon $$$$
>drifting stick in less than a week
>gorillon $$$$
they're on sale for 49.99 regularly
stick drift is mostly caused by zoomers pressing sticks too hard
>made for hardcore gaming
>can't handle hardcore gaming
No more questions here
controllers are inherently made for casual gaming actually
You're thinking of sony controllers
>Good analog placement
Sorry but I'm not playing retro games so why would my joystick be in the secondary position?
So you play modern games?
Why is your camera secondary then?
Or are you perhaps a homosexual that use auto target?
>Why is your camera secondary then?
Because input usage between face buttons and sticks are split evenly. Do you literally not play videogames?
Face buttons are secondary.
You always have left thumb for movement and right for camera, click a button then return to the analogs.
Trigger and shoulder buttons are used more than the face buttons.
Again, are you a homosexual that use auto target?
>You always have left thumb for movement and right for camera,
I disagree
>I disagree
You're entitled to a wrong opinion.
>Then left stick should be in the primary position
Then the right stick should be in the primary position as well.
Open GTA, Souls-game, or any FPS with a controller. Then you hopefully can make use of that smooth brain and realize you're always having both thumbs on the analog 95% of the time.
>What the frick are you playing?
Games.
>GTA, any FPS
why the frick would anyone use a controller for those
>Souls
controls fricking suck until I remap right hand to face buttons
>why the frick would anyone use a controller for those
>GTA
Because it's a fricking driving game that feels like shit if you have on/off for steering and throttle.
>FPS
Alien Isolation is much better with controller.
>controls fricking suck until I remap right hand to face buttons
Explain, or I'm gonna assume you (like in GTA) use On/off for aiming by remapping ABXY / XO[ ]/ to camera.
>Because it's a fricking driving game
it's a janky TPS with basic driving, KB works perfectly fine for the latter parts
>Explain
it's literally just putting normal attack on square, special attack on triangle and run on a shoulder like any normal human being would do
Glad we agree left stick goes in the primary position
Only if both analogs are in the same position.
>MUH SYMMETRY
Good luck driving cars or using literally any piece of equipment. I bet keyboard mouse confuses the frick out of you, homosexual loser.
>You always have left thumb for movement
Then left stick should be in the primary position
>Face buttons are secondary
What the frick are you playing?
this thing costs like 100+ frickjing euros now i had to buy a logitech controller instead when mine died
fricking israelites
>this thing costs like 100+ frickjing euros now
?? wtf is going on in eu, 49/59 here depending on which version you get
yeah, you want the official xbox controller? shell out like 120 euro, otherwise you're stuck buying a dogshit chinkware versions of the xbox controller endorsed by microshit themselves, such as PDP or PowerA, which will break within 3 months of purchase
where the frick do you live? you could literally buy one on US amazon and order it to yourself for cheaper than that
netherlands
>buy one off US amazon
no because then ill probably have to pay 80 euro import taxes :^)
European supply chain goes through Ukraine and guess what
What for? I'm taller than you.
Are paddles as useful as people make them out to be?
Depends on the game, could be extremely useful or not.
>as people make them out to be?
confirmation bias, the only people who are going to be publicly having an opinion on paddles are people who go out of the way to buy controllers with paddles, because they want paddles, ie "serious" console FPS players
and if you play an fps "seriously" with a controller or on console, you've already automatically invalidated your own opinion
I KNEEL
so what is the best dpad in a 50-70$ budget? im trying to get in to fighters and other 3d games but mostly fighters so what is a good controller to get a great dpad?
What platform? Do you need analog sticks too because if you don't there are cheaper more fighting or retro centric options
pc, with analogs too
so how does it feel?
each direction makes a click which I personally like and it feels fine to roll your thumb on, although sometimes if you roll for half circle back when you go down to back it feels like it gets a little stuck but it doesn't mess with the actual input or speed. It could just be my controller though.
ok sounds good, can you play for long on it tho?
It's fine for me, if you get one make sure the dpad looks like this. It should show it on the box.
sure i know the other one is the xbox one not the series, i think im going for it then hope it lasts as long as the 360s that one was a beast, bur the dpad sure sucks ass
btw hows the bluetooth? i head its garbage
I haven't had any issues but I use my bluetooth dongle on an extension USB cable so it's closer. Haven't tried it plugged straight into my motherboard.
They fixed it with a firmware update over a year after release
its a buy then
dont rely on bluetooth performance of xbox controller. i say this as someone who is a heavy proponent of xbox controller. BT did not work well for me. i use the microsoft dongle
well ill see how it goes, i might have to buy it aswell
I honestly really like the new xbone dpad for GG+R but it really depends on how you like the feel of the dpad. I'm not sure if stores have series x or ps5 kiosks where you can try out the controller first.
is this just brandgayging or you gays really refuse to use anything not wireless
What now, gay?
No.

>2d
I have specific controllers for that
>playstation controller

>this flaw continues for multiple generations for some reason?

stick placement literally does not matter at all, sorry
it's up to the game developer to not force players to use a claw grip, other than that placement is irrelevant
Sorry but my hand doesn't magically change shape based on what game I'm playing. If it's a 2d or 3d game the movement input is on top.
Then you're unable to use a Shitbox controller or a Snoy controller, and are therefore forced to use
since you say your hand don't change shape, and are unable to use a Shitbox or Snoy analog since one of the analogs are placed wrong.
And since the two analogs are the primary inputs, it's
>easier and more natural
to have them symmetrical.
And you said
>than side to side thumb movements on an X axis like WiiU makes you do.
Therefore the lower analog is better, and symmetrical is better than asymmetrical.
Therefore it's down to one controller.
>Lower analog
>Symmetrical layout.
>??????
Name the controller that have those criteria.
Hint: Not the fecal matter Shitbox controller.
>still forcing that every single game is a first person shooter
Lol. If that were the case then kbm would be superior to dual analog
>easier and more natural to have them symmetrical
>symmetry for the sake of visual symmetry
This isn't a false analogy jamboree, save that for nationals
Meant for
homosexual
Meant for
Are you fricking moronic?
I literally don't even understand what the complaint here is supposed to be
i have a wired one for pc
its ok
but i prefer the bumpers on the og 360 that were clickier quite a bit
also im really sick of the bright as frick lights in controllers as a horrorgay, illumnating my entire hiuse hurting my eyes
i know you're on jesus calm the frick down
besides the fact that its headphone jack wants me to kill myself and that the Dpad is too noisy, it's okay
The PS1 dual shock perfected controllers at a point you can't name one controller released after it for a main platform that is bad or even mediocre.
Kneel.
