I don't care about unbalanced kits unless they break fundemental rules of the game. I'll always take an interesting kit over a boring one. Since it's not as if a boring kit can't be unbalanced anyway.
My memory is somehow hazier on this despite her being more recent. But I'm almost certain their was a similar case with Nilah where here "leaked" kit was far more interesting than what actually ended up coming out.

was actually excited for this champion because they claim her to be a battle mage and that is one of my favourite class of champions but we haven't had one in ages. But now that I think about it. even though I know the objective definition of it. it's used pretty arbitrarily now and I'm not even sure if she'll end up being an actual battle mage.
then there's the other side of things where the character design are so blatantly boring and shallow that I don't even know why I get excited for these things. sure substance over style, but people will value style nonetheless so choosing substance over it, doesn't necessarily emphasize the value of it.
