Honestly it is a bot of a shame they used teh cell processors for PS3 because if not PS5 would have full backwards compat with all PS games from 1-5 and I would assume every future PS console it would make it the default best console.
Frick nintendo though charging us again for a game on a new system, i would just pirate that shit.

I don't buy games on Nintendo platforms, as my consoles are hacked, so this has no impact on me.
Regulatory requirements mean they would need active development, which isn't worth it for shops that aren't being used anymore.

It really doesn't matter to me either way. If the games are abandonware, it's no longer morally wrong to enjoy them at a 100% discount. I feel the same way about games stuck on sony's ps3 store, games which don't even transfer to future consoles. Seriously, 500+ dollars of purchases were on my old PS3, and that all got flushed down the toilet, and this includes all the physical games too, since backwards compat was too "toxic" for sony.
Just release WWHD and TPHD on switch and I will sell my WiiU
