I admire your attempt at this, but all it took was for some moron like to shit it up nearly immediately. Thread is going to be derailed after this point unfortunately, was good while it lasted. I wish we could have just a single comfy Fallout thread, doesn't even have to be about 3, but recently there's been some serious false flagging going on. Its fricking annoying.
That being said, I really like Oasis. Cool place, cool concept. Been playing Tale of Two Wastelands recently and I think I've come to the conclusion that I prefer the setting of the capital to the mojave.

F3 is fine, it was the rage back when it was released. Not as good as New Vegas but still worth playing.

Sorry but as a video game patrician, I prefer the superior game, Fallout 3. It's as desolate as the first Fallout game, but it somehow manages to have a better integrated postmodern sense of humor. Unlike the "classics", Fallout 3 is a FP/TP experience that drops the player into a 3D world through the perspective of their character with every minor detail and discrete crevice available for examination, already annihilating the classics in the immersion department. It has roleplay elements embedded within it's coming-of-age story, but the fact that they're so deeply tied to the role given to the player within the main narrative may filter some of the plebs who never truly understood the experience that being a vault dweller offers to the player, favoring more ludonarratively dissonant backgrounds. The player is custom-tailored for any role or class and it makes the most sense to play an inexperienced character in this game more than any other modern Fallout game. The world is simply astonishing and inarguably the most complete world out of any Bethesda game, let alone any Fallout game. Fallout 3 encapsulates the player within a breathtaking apocalyptic experience with a narrative that reflects the anti-government neoliberalism of Bush-era America. It's complexities do not cater to the short attention spans of a certain generation led astray by social media, which makes it the best Fallout game by default.
Esteemed critics of course loved the game, which was remarkable in a time where video game journalism hadn't been completely tainted by the corruption made possible by zoomerism. It's the highest rated Fallout on Metacritic and one of their cherished "Must-Plays", no other Fallout game has ever received the same respect. Fallout 3 was uncompromising in how it took a dead franchise drowned by failures of leadership and turned it into a household name.
Fallout 3 is objectively the best Fallout game. So yes, I do think Fallout (3) is neat.
