But it's an undeniable fact that Ruina's tone and atmosphere is completely different from that of LC. In LC you're pretty much completely isolated from the outside world, while in Ruina you get to actually see the City and its inhabitants. LobCorp's story is also told in a time loop through flashbacks, while in Ruina it's almost all linear. On top of that, LC puts a frickton of emphasis on symbolism, understanding the kabbalah is crucial to understanding the story and what it's about. Ruina downplays this connection, it's only really relevant in realisations, while the invitations are really monsters of the week.
I do like Ruina's story, just not as much as LC's.

I was critical of Canto V part 3 since day 1.
The theming around Canto 5 was better than Canto 4 imo but PM over corrected and made Canto 5 too short and it feels like we bolted from one plot point to another, Ishmael goes nuts and allows Ahab to manipulate her, and less than a minute later she is back to normal thanks to Queequeg just accompanying the team on their way to the heart. She also finishes the Canto going "you are all my friends" when there werent enough clues during the story or even the Canto itself where it showed hints of her feeling close to Dante or the Sinners, we just got that moment after Pilot was saved and nothing more.
It’s technically longer, it’s just that it feels like they’re doing too much with more world building focus of different characters and plot points
Canto 6 feels better with the focus being pretty much on Heath alone and stuck in a manor. It reminds me a lot of Ruina with how the focus was majorly on Angela and Roland’s development
Part 1 of this canto was incredible but part 2 did not go in the right direction imho. The mystery setup was completely played off into a "now go down a staircase and fight 200 guys in a row with the mysteries being written out in very plain ways while yi sang talks a bunch about his past". I don't really know where it's gonna go from here so maybe it'll recover

That's what I thought too. It had great presentation, but both in terms of its narrative structure (delegating all Pequod stuff to part 3) and its thematic connections to the book the Canto felt lacking. Thankfully Canto 6 seems to be better in both regards, it might be my favourite Canto yet. Unless part 3 royally fricks up, which is unlikely given the great build-up.
I don't see them whiffing the story at least, unless they really jump the shark. I'm more worried about the final boss track, all the EIM stuff the past two weeks has been absolutely stellar. If it's Mili again, they need to deliver something extraordinary to overcome the fatigue.
I really liked between two worlds part two and it shows that Mili can do some more boss battle appropriate stuff than just "slow soft voice with sad music" stuff, so if it does have to be mili (and unfortunately probably will be) I hope it's something more in that vein. The "song kicks in at the ending scene where the sinner uses the ego" thing made the last two suffer way too much as actual boss music compared to most of the ruina tracks.

Plus the whole "go into big thing's body" thing is so overdone. Also Ishmael's entertainment factor did not increase proportionally to her insufferability.
I thought it was pretty great, I will say I barely remember the first third of it though. Hook pirates and Pilot were a fat load of nothing but they were more than made up for by Rim, Ricardo and Pequod Town onward.
I liked it more than 4, which everyone remembers the great ending of but forgets the 40 nodes of generic drones and terrorist bots and the totally pointless bit with the Rosespanners.

Beyond lvl 120 you get boxes. Getting the BP TRIPLES the amount.
Let's say you farm MD for 30 hours over the course of a season. You could've worked at a minimal wage job for 1 hour, buy the BP and farm for 10 hours instead and you would've had the same result.

He actually has pretty low clash values (since they're mostly based on LCB Heath's moves) So even if he gets up to max SP you really only have to get your own guys to like 20 before you'll have pretty reliable wins, then it's just a matter of getting lucky with speeds and skill draws for shifting his targeting and preventing his self buffs.

I've been trying to tell people that they don't realize how much different the game is going to be as the levels bloat since the damage potential of most moves remains the same but HP values increase. Dodge will still remain king though since it denies the enemy on-hit effects which are usually the spookiest part of their attacks.

It is. I just thought it worked the same way as spice yisang. With her passive, Yi sang at turn 1 always generate +1 tremor if I use his S1 or S3 skills.
Boat Ishmael. It is the only character in the sinking game that can generate positive sinking count with her own attacks.
Is Olga's passive even consistent turn 1? It's conditional on the ally with the most tremor count and turn 1 nobody has any, so I'd assume it's a random target until turn 2 when your tremor unit has some.
I wouldn't be surprised if it didn't work because counter skills that turn into other skills on activation like KK Rodya and Meur S3 act a bit strangely with effects

The real issue isn't they're helmets. Rabbit Heathcliff has the helmet off in the CG art but have it on in sprites while also saying his lines over a radio in combat. The issue is that they're prosthetics heads that completely hide whose identity it is. The only real exception is nemo since his prosthetic could feasibly show whatever on his screen. I know that in-lore you don't need to wear a helmet for protection but it is annoying how flip floppy they are to use them. The LCD have some pretty neat helmets on a side note.

I mean, this is a gacha, so we'll probably never going to get these funny characters that hid their faces like in Ruina or silly hats like in lobotomy. Rabtti cliff can put his helmet on, but only for certain attacks.
