In that case, get right behind his ass and stay there as much as you can, use your sword to delete his shitty shield and then obliterate the poor bastard with your strongest weapons. He instantly regens his shield at 50% regardless so don't waste ammo then, and his second phase has melees that can destroy you, but just stay behind him as usual (or jump above) and you should be mostly fine
