valve has been so fricking lazy with heroes recently. i can understand marci because in the anime she's a mute or whatever, but the new jungle creep hero has no excuse to not be able to speak. hell even viper or tidehunter can speak, why can't this guy speak? fricking lazy
i hate how valve has squandered dota so much that the most generic, bland anime in the world that just has the dota name slapped on it has overtaken the game itself

I havent spent money in DotA in forever and I still get the FOMO itch because I didn't get the stuff like alternate Anti Mage gender thing and the windrunner model update
I like her but man she's useless after minute 15. She'd destroy in LoL because games there are decided before the clock hits 15 minutes but I'm Dota early game ganks are mostly worthless since people can just farm and still build up regardless of how they did in lane.

valve has almost no marketing, especially when it comes to dota. they just dump it all for the international and call it a day. it finally started biting them in the ass. not that they really care though, it feels like dota is the black sheep of valve now, where you send the interns and rejects to fix bugs and browse reddit threads. someone who works on dota at valve probably has people leave the table when they sit down for lunch.
sucks to see, the IP is great and the characters are largely fantastic, but it's handled so poorly, but that's nothing new, dota has coasted on the power of the fans and players for a decade honestly
also, it made me laugh when season 2 of DOTA dragons blood came out, it took literally hours after it was released for there to be any advertisement from valve, like they forgot. they added a small little box inside the dota2 client (again, hours after the show came out) that said "SEASON 2 OUT NOW" but it was tiny. fricking funny. i dont think it was even advertised on steam client itself in the news or anything.
