As another anon above said, the adventure and exploration factor is severely lacking in wrath. You immediately start at maximum stakes and have a long power fantasy. The second game is probably better if you go all in on build autism.

I liked kingmaker, but the game was all over the place, especially after the coronation. Playing it felt like 40 hour game trapped inside of an 100 hour game. Nuggets of content trapped between endless kingdom management time waste and copy pasted locations
I'm one of those vile lizardpeople who actually liked managing the barony, though it could have been a lot more involved.
I even sort of like Wrath's HoMM-lite combat, but again, they coulda done more with it.
I didnt mind the management as a concept, but it was just so poorly thought out. I finished up everything before ch 6 started and was left with 200+ days of literally nothing else to do but press skip 200+ times. Similar thing happened to me between ch 4 and 5, but then i was playing catch up with all the upgrades so it was kinda fine

i am with you on that. Arue is cute and likeable enough but beyond that she is not that great. it's also telling that the other two option are just batshit insane evil girls and the beyond moronic granny which still makes me seethe because she stole the flag and destroyed Drezen.
I can sort of chalk Galfrey up to gap moe at a stretch because she's the equivalent of stretching a teenage girl's late teens over a century. My problem with romancing Galfrey is there's no fricking content for it. You get a third party romance until the last act.
that's also my biggest problem with her. I did a legend run specifically to frick her only to forget about her halfway after act 2 and romance Arue again. It was for the best because Arue has the best demon->legend interaction in the game.
I'm with Deskari on Iomedae. She's a sanctimonious slag, Legend sounded very cool until I found out you get it by discarding your power on her say-so.

Arue gives you another reason to go legend or golden scalie if you are romancing her bro. girl outright helps you destroy the profane gift from nocticula and even calls her shit
