I just play waking the dragon. I’ve won games because they go out of the way to hit my backrow when I have nothing else. Then they get to deal with Ultimate Falcon.
Zarc is far easier to put on board, not mention that usually is behind ton of negate, if your opponent survived boardnuke or two then you lost either way.
Unless you're playing a straight up trap deck, there's little reason to respect face downs because battle traps rarely ever get played. Battle traps fall out of favor because many cards just remove them before they're used. So they are used less so people can do plays that don't deal with the backrow and swing in the Battle Phase without worrying about battle traps. Links don't help as well since they get around some powerful ones like quaking mirror force. The truth is if you can't activate the trap whenever like Daruma Cannon then it'll be too slow to be a detriment to your opponent.
I suspect Konami is just going to limit 1 all the Snake-eyes lvl 1's except Poplar and then limit/semi-limit a few of their spells at random. Tenpai is going to be slaughtered cuz why not and Gimmick Puppet is going to have its knees broken for being a viable burn deck. Small chance of Zombie vampire getting banned for Tearlament reasons.

The two top dogs in the OCG are special summon spam slop decks (Fiend Link, Smith Snake-Eye), banning Maxx C would've changed nothing about the format.
A couple of overdue bans and hits to decks that are behind fricking Master Duel. Tenpai by contrast just got kicked out of the meta so Snake-Eyes can be Tier 0 again. Unbans are lame and are also just overdue. No one is really going to cream their pants over Plushfire in 2024.

This doesn't do anything to Snake-Eyes because the Smith cards are all 1 card starters for the Snake-Eye engine. It's impossible to hit Snake-Eye by hitting consistency, there are billions of ways to get to Ash if you don't draw it.

Maxx c game, maxx c life. You will build your deck around a card that resolves 20% of the time you activate it. You will be forced to play into it after your opponent sets up their board. Mult"C"hummy Purulia will be another thing to end your turn. You will take consistency hits and say thank you to maxx c for drawing the cards that were limited or semid.
In the TCG the combo check card is Nib. Decks need to find a way to beat Nib or they will be hard checked by it. That's one of the reasons why FK is not the prevalent variant of SE, since FK only makes sense if Poplar searches OSS, but the default line to beat Nib is Poplar adding Temple.

I don't know. If you blind Mulchummy you end your turn 0 at 4 cards at worst. If the opponent plays into it you can have 5 cards to a max of 19 (that'll never happen) which can help you draw hand traps to potentially stop them. On the other hand it can still be Ash'ed and Drolled there but that never stopped Maxx C in MD being the most used card.
It's going to be a flop like Crossout was on release here. So probably like 60 bucks at most and then will steadily decline over the months when people realize it's actually not that good. Also core sets don't get short printed anymore so don't expect the price to be too high outside of initial hype. The population will increase, not decrease especially because INFO is actually a good set that will be heavily opened.

He's still an omni negate, but there's a reason everyone prefers playing the 2 Photon monsters that negate monster or Spells instead.

What difference does that make? Is it just a self-discipline thing?
If you wait until a month after the event ends to claim the last event's gems then they get in your gift box later meaning their expiration date in your gift box ends later meaning you can hold them for longer. If you don't claim lifetime missions/solo mission rewards then they will never expire.
But hording like this is pretty much pointless unless you just want to show off how big your gift box is. There will just be new gems next month for next month's cards anyway.

yes a lot of people splurge and buy cosmetics or random packs I honestly just pull on what is new and only go overboard if I really want a new deck and I only get cosmetics I like or when they go on sale like when the fields went on sale I bought the cyberse one and the hero one(still waiting for konami to let me choose what song plays when I duel)
Its a good way to keep an abundant amount of gems on hand for new selection packs. The RNG rates can be abysmal at times and you might end up sinking up to 9k gems trying to pull from the newer packs. So its a good way to keep from spending money or missing out on packs you want.
Sky strikers alt arts cost me about 9k (I don't play sky strikers)

I guess it depends how easy it is for you to get to Horus lvl 6 and Dragoon/Jinzo/Decree. spright has a similar restriction structure of levels, but doesn't even care about attributes. i wouldn't say spright is a problem (currently) due to it's supposed lack of restrictions. the problem with snake eye is the power level of their cards, not how archetype locked they are. pure snake eye was/is still a terror before we got the fire king support and before people started putting rescue ace in it.

Not a single snake eyes card locks the player in any meaningful way.
It would not have fixed anything because the issue with SE from day one was shitting bodies onto the field for generic links, something that wouldn’t have changed by stopping them from searching jet synchron or whatever
As it turns out the SE monsters are in fact the strongest FIRE level 1s in the game so they’re what gets searched off of OSS the absolute vast majority of the time

The game has decided that I must always lose every duel. Couldn't tell you the last duel I had where my opponent didn't open with some combo of Ash, Maxx, or Imp, along with their engine starters. I'm honestly convinced I've been playing bots the entire time.
I've won plenty of duels, but the game definitely is trying it's hardest to make sure I don't. That's just part of RNG with hand draws and a shit meta on top of it though.

I think that they should've simply not made the archetype made for doing nothing but spamming bodies on board to make generic links as strong as they made it. That maybe having 5 million starters and extenders that get you to very powerful combos was a mistake.

Unless you're playing a straight up trap deck, there's little reason to respect face downs because battle traps rarely ever get played. Battle traps fall out of favor because many cards just remove them before they're used. So they are used less so people can do plays that don't deal with the backrow and swing in the Battle Phase without worrying about battle traps. Links don't help as well since they get around some powerful ones like quaking mirror force. The truth is if you can't activate the trap whenever like Daruma Cannon then it'll be too slow to be a detriment to your opponent.

The two top dogs in the OCG are special summon spam slop decks (Fiend Link, Smith Snake-Eye), banning Maxx C would've changed nothing about the format.
A couple of overdue bans and hits to decks that are behind fricking Master Duel. Tenpai by contrast just got kicked out of the meta so Snake-Eyes can be Tier 0 again. Unbans are lame and are also just overdue. No one is really going to cream their pants over Plushfire in 2024.

In the TCG the combo check card is Nib. Decks need to find a way to beat Nib or they will be hard checked by it. That's one of the reasons why FK is not the prevalent variant of SE, since FK only makes sense if Poplar searches OSS, but the default line to beat Nib is Poplar adding Temple.
If you look at the TCG, it's pretty obviously nib. The reasoning makes sense: combo Black folk can just pop off with zero consequences otherwise.

I don't know. If you blind Mulchummy you end your turn 0 at 4 cards at worst. If the opponent plays into it you can have 5 cards to a max of 19 (that'll never happen) which can help you draw hand traps to potentially stop them. On the other hand it can still be Ash'ed and Drolled there but that never stopped Maxx C in MD being the most used card.
It's going to be a flop like Crossout was on release here. So probably like 60 bucks at most and then will steadily decline over the months when people realize it's actually not that good. Also core sets don't get short printed anymore so don't expect the price to be too high outside of initial hype. The population will increase, not decrease especially because INFO is actually a good set that will be heavily opened.

If you wait until a month after the event ends to claim the last event's gems then they get in your gift box later meaning their expiration date in your gift box ends later meaning you can hold them for longer. If you don't claim lifetime missions/solo mission rewards then they will never expire.
But hording like this is pretty much pointless unless you just want to show off how big your gift box is. There will just be new gems next month for next month's cards anyway.

Its a good way to keep an abundant amount of gems on hand for new selection packs. The RNG rates can be abysmal at times and you might end up sinking up to 9k gems trying to pull from the newer packs. So its a good way to keep from spending money or missing out on packs you want.

The game has decided that I must always lose every duel. Couldn't tell you the last duel I had where my opponent didn't open with some combo of Ash, Maxx, or Imp, along with their engine starters. I'm honestly convinced I've been playing bots the entire time.

Some people just like to play a fun anime deck every now and then.
I've won plenty of duels, but the game definitely is trying it's hardest to make sure I don't. That's just part of RNG with hand draws and a shit meta on top of it though.
Honestly, just do the daily gems or buy like a quick 500 or some shit. I don't advocate spending money on MD at fricking all, but might save you a headache in the long run.

Man I bought flameberg when he was released just because he looked cool and everyone thought it was shit. It’s a shame they don’t have an extra deck monsters unique unto themselves. Definitely needs an archetype lock (or to hit link spam).
I think that they should've simply not made the archetype made for doing nothing but spamming bodies on board to make generic links as strong as they made it. That maybe having 5 million starters and extenders that get you to very powerful combos was a mistake.

If you go first and set up macro cosmos or d-fissure there's very little fire decks can do to play aside from skyburn and s:p.

even when you fully stop snake eyes and their secondary engine, they can use any two monsters to Zealantis OTK you with Hiita
