You can get about 7k month (some say 10k but I usually get 7). Pick a secret pack with cards that you think you will use (like the albaz one). You will get about 10/12 URs that you will not use. Dust them. Pick singles of the cards you want and fill them all next month.

The actual difference is that whereas before almost every card was a one-off individual, now 50-75% of almost every deck is an archetype.
So before you'd have Injection Fairy Lily, Dark Elf, and Thunder Nyan Nyan, but in modern Yugioh you'd have an Injection Fairy deck with 5 different cute nurse girls, you'd also have Fire Nyan Nyan and Wind Nyan Nyan, and there would be a bunch of different Dark Elves with different names.
But that's also true of Mystic Tomato which if released today would come out in the same pack as Mystic Potato and Mystic Corn, or Terrorking Salmon who would also come out with Terrorking Bass and Terrorking Marlin.
So you end up with a larger amount of each theme.

$10 in Master Duel gets you a ten-draw. I've gone over 25k gems in the last selection pack without a single royal, including spending 300 dust to craft.

It's very rarely needed but we have it in the extra deck. It's summoned when you need to stall for a couple of turns but with Sera/holeutea we have plenty of ways to recover. I think I had to use it twice in the last 2 months.

The main invoked line, even disrupted, leave you ED monster on board and gy for Ecclesia and Maximus.
Invoked Dogmatika is an outdated deck completely separate from Dogmatika Ritual. Essentially you just summon Mechaba, then special Ecclesia to search Punishment/Fleur/Maxumus, and Punishment can send Titaniklad to search another Ecclesia to keep the engine going. Usually it's also used in Conjunction with Shaddoll.
It's a deck that was past its prime when MD released but a lot of people still tried to make it work.

It was never that good to begin with in the OCG because the entire appeal is Mechaba summons at #4, so it can cuck Nibiru. Maxx "C" makes TTT live, but Linking for Mechaba still has the turn 2 player plus, and you can't summon Ecclesia or Maximus without super negging yourself.

I was in Plat V for most of July and the only players there for weeks were bots

Lack of a resource system. It has it's downsides but largely you get to skip the bullshit and start playing immediately. One of the things that annoys me about Magic for example is that you have to spend a few turns just playing lands/cantrips before you can make any serious plays. What's worse is that, this makes tempo and resource management super important, so often times the game was realistically over on turn 2/3, but you had to wait until turn 6 to find out.

Nah, there are some decks like Spyral that legitimately can take more than 5 minutes from a good player who's familiar with the deck. Or non-linear decks where even good players need extra time to think.
But like the other anon said, it's a good thing that they don't get it.
The timer being a balancing mechanism/punishment for annoying decks is a million times better than in TCG/OCG where the timer is a win condition.
Pretty sure the timer pauses during animations and chain resolves and what not, I can not even fathom a deck that even has enough to do that would take 5 mins.

They should set the timer at 3 minutes and it refreshes full every player turn so people can't b***h about it, I can set my Endymion board with over 200 seconds left there's no reason any deck needs to take fricking forever.

I skipped out when the shufflers weren't as limited and I think they did hit some of the tear cards but I can't remember what, I do remember reading it and thinking it'll be more bearable.
Right now all the Ishizu except for Kelbeck (the one that's also a Handtrap) are Limited.
From the main Tear deck, Field and Kit are at 1, Sulliek the trap that searcher Tear monsters is at 1, all the Mermaids are at 2.
Additional useful cards, KotS is at 1, Instant Fusion is banned, so Kit MUST be fused. Terraforming is banned, so the Field spell can't be searched at all. With Limited Ishizu's, Herald of the Orange Light is no longer played.

Foolish Burial
Right now the deck is in a good spot. It's still very powerful, but not overwhelmingly so. It can high roll some insane plays, but it can whiff hard enough to lose to pretty much anything. This variance makes the deck exciting to pilot. It's still the best deck in the format, but it's not the only best deck in the format anymore, with a 27% usage down from 45% two months ago, the consistency hits have been very effective at hurting the deck.
5 minutes? In practice is way more, because the fricking game take forever to process the information. There are plenty of times that the opponnent played tear and I had to wait for 10 minutes during even my OWN turn for him to end so I could play.
The timer should be 4 minutes per turn, and fully refresh when your turn or your opponent's turn ends. And when it is your turn, when you haven't played a card for like 15 seconds straight, the timer speeds up 2x until you do. The main issue I have with the timer now is actual intelligent game states where you have to think are punished.

The idea is to get 1 Morphtronic Telefon in GY, and 1 Morphtronic Telefon + 1 Beast of the Pharaoh on the field, which basically means I can synchro summon whatever I want (as Beast keeps coming back, and Telefon can revive the other Telefon to keep the loop going)
I included some zombie support to search for Beast, but not sure what to do to get Telefon. I have Foolish Burial and will craft One for One.

That shouldn't have been the case, Traptrix can easily search traps with Myrmeleo and Sera so they can dodge EEV, unless his hand was nothing but traps when EEV activated.

EEV doesn't destroy cards that are directly searched or placed on the field. It only checks and destroys shit on the field or in the hand at the time of resolution, and then for 3 turns it only checks cards drawn off the top of the deck.
No, EEV only pops cards on the field and hand on activation and after that it only destroys cards drawn, searched cards by card effects are unaffected so the Traptrix player could have easily used Myrm, search for a trap, summon Sera and be set for Lab's turn.
Traptrix still got the edge over Lab if EEV hits the field
