You chain shifter to Lubellion or Albion, that forces the Branded player to have a toothless Mirrorjade on the field.
If you chain shifter to Branded Fusion, the only play they have is Rindbrumm. With BraFu at 1 that might be the better play going forward.
Either way though, just because you resolve Shifter doesn't mean it's an instant win. Rindbrum is still a threat and so is Ash, and any deck that can use Shifter (Floo, Exosister) still fricking dies to Ash
Shifter is bad to run in this meta though. Shifter decks do not want to be aginst other Shifter decks, it makes Shifter a super brick. With Kashtira existing I dropped Shifter entirely (in Thundra)

The only time I ever saw Branded summon Dragostapelia off Branded Fusion line was after resolving Cherries to banish Mirrorjade.
They will still make Mirrorjade under shifter because it's bigger and it Raigekis in the End Phase, guaranteeing you have a clear field for the next turn.
Add this to them most likely having Ash or possibly Fusion Deployment the next turn, and playing Floo/Exosister is not a guarantee of success.

That's kinda the point I was making though. Shifter vs. Tears was an automatic win off a single card. Vs. The current meta, the power of the card is now much more debatable as it's shit against several decks and it can no longer get free wins from Tears.

Shifter in response to Grass is autowin.
Against Tears they could play around it. It only got bad if they greedy, say, they activate Scream,Scheirern, send Kelbek, and hit a Tear name with Scheirein's mill.
Then you chain shifter, they -8 from the deck, summon Kitkallos but Kit has to just sit there because shifter is active. Maybe they add Sulliek or Cryme but you almost banished 25% of their deck with that one card and stunned their field.

Tearlaments are forced to sit on nothing for two turns without being able to fuse under Shifter. It's unlikely they'll be able to do anything all unless they got lucky and opened Scherien and Reihnohart to go into Bagoozka. Outside of that, the entire deck shuts down for two whole turns.
Ash is probably the most broken, the sheer number of shit Ash hits becuse of 1 line of text possibly allowing a draw or SS from the deck is insane.
Ash can negate Gamma and Book of Eclipse among other things. That shit is crazy.
Maxx "C" is the most powerful handtrap, but you can deckbuild and play around it. You literally can't do that against Ash.

Ash is fine at 3 in the TCG as it's meta dependent. Currently, Ash is taking a slight hit in usage in favor of Droll and the handtrap that can win the Droll war, Gamma. Yes, Gamma at 1 is still seeing a lot of play.

Most decklists I see are still running x3 Ash, becuse if you don't resolve Ash against BraFu, Big Welcome or Junk Speeder you basically lose right there.
The Pots are also broken and just the presence of decks like Swordsoul with Desires or Lab with Extravgance means it's stupid to not run both Ash and Droll.

Maxx "C" carries a lot of older decks and lets them be playable. Without it you have set rotation, which is how the TCG actually operates with its banlist.
The OCG bends over for casual players while the TCG focuses on hardcore whales.

This is false. Most meta decks would prefer to run more gas than devote deckspace to countering Maxx "C".
For a deck like Dark Magician, Maxx "C" is the best weapon against meta.

In terms of unique function they don't have a lot going on and the hole traps are mostly mid so you have to rely more on generic normal traps that not only don't interact with traptrix all that great but work better in other decks like lab.

veda isnt really an archetype, there are 6 planet and visas has yet to see the last 2 (penduum/ritual, earth/wind, surprise/disgust), the actual visas pend archetype and its associated planet has yet to come, possibly last since the bad guy veda is also pendulum though

Dimension Shifter isn't a meta call. It's always good so you always run it if your deck doesn't get harmed by it. People are just more incentivized to play those decks if it's especially good vs the meta.

Shifter is a often a brick if it's your 6th draw. You MUST open it in the starting 5, and with semi-limit you are more likely to brick with shifter than you are the open it.
I stopped using Shifter and ran Bystials and had way more success against Tear.
Blind pitch D-Shifter is always good if your deck can run it. The potential to end the game on the spot against most decks is well worth the risk of running into set 5 pass or Floo/Exo/Kash.

Also ABC has great synergy with both I:P and Underworld Goddess. You can activate I:P Masquerena and chain ABC's second effect to it. ABC will bring the parts back and you'll have enough link material for an easy Underworld Goddess, Apollousa, or Avramax.

Not really. Both Goddess players have different priorities. The turn 1 player wants to Goddess away a boss, while the turn 2 player wants to Skill Drain the field.
Both players end up using 3 mats to make Goddess, but it's to the detriment of the turn 1 player if they're forced to Goddess away combo pieces instead of a boss.

The new Centurion deck is literally 20+ 1 card starters into full combo ending on King Calamity, and like Tears, they can play on your turn.
The only Ashable card is Terraforming, if you don't Maxx, Ogre or Evenly that shit you lose.
King Calamity is just a scapegoat hit. Masurawo is very powerful on its own and Crimson Dragon can just float into Cosmic Blazar, which is just as much a win button as Calamity.
And it's not like Legatia is awful either, especially when protected by Primera.and visa versa.
Blazar is way more powerful than your typical omni because it can negate summons while also ending the Battle Phase. It also banishes for cost, so you can't negate it with imperm or droplet. It comes right back with its effect intact.
The only out is Super Poly, Alba Lenatus, Kaijus or shit like Branded Lost + Branded Banishment.
And keep in mind any spell/trap you play just lets Masurawo give your opponent a free Card of Demise..

Runick and Lab mirrors aren't especially cancerous. It's just a matter of who gains an edge first and can quickly snowball that into an iron grip over the opponent's throat. Same as any other matchup.

So a few days ago I wanted to make a Chaos Machine deck that revolved around using the opponent's monsters. I knew it wasn't viable from the start, but now looking at it, seems like it'll hardly ever work.
So I've decided to use the bottom half of this, with Super Poly + Bystials + Lair of Darkness, since these seem more consistent.
What cards work best with them?
it is meme tier but darkest diabolos gets triggered by lubellion's summon, then with lair of darkness you can tribute an opponent monster to return a card from their hand to their deck.
You can consider the first of dragons as a fusion target using LoD tokens.
Just one thing tho, LoD sounds incredibly fun and cool on paper, but in practice it's bad. (darkest diabolos is a CbtG/bystial magnet btw)

We do have a handful of cards that were TCG world premieres and the OCG doesn't have in paper yet, but it's really a mixed format because we have OCG/TCG players playing together with a banlist that features some TCG hits alongside OCG stuff like of course The Roach or Snow being legal.
OCG meta is still crippled Tearlaments. At this rate Konami is going to go nuclear again and make Tearlaments 2.0 just so the japs play something else. Which of course will hurt the TCG meta again.

I played against it with my Dogmatika deck. All it did was summon Zarc on my turn with a trap and then used the GY effect of the trap to swap Zarc for Crystal Wing and three beatsticks.
Casual plat 1 homosexual here. I only have 2 playable decks, a Glad Beasts deck (and the Tri-Brigade variant) and a Blackwings deck. I have an almost finished Unchained deck (need Unicorn, Underworld Goddess, Ashartu and D/D/D Machinex) which I netdecked from somewhere a while ago, 2 decks I like the art but need pretty much all of the engines (Melffy and Madolche), and ABC-Ojama that needs like 6 URs to be finished. Should I go for these? How do they fare against the current bullshit? Any recommendations instead?
3 of the 4 mentioned are fine (unchained, melffy, madolche), but should I make them? If not them, what else? I don't have enough knowledge about the game to know if these decks can stand against the current meta/bullshit cards.
Of all of those Madolche are by far the best and have been rogue playable since launch. Though you'd need 2 Fenrir and some Vernusylph URs to be playing the best version.
Yeah, it looked the strongest of the decks. I have 0 of the Vernusylphs, and would need 2 of each main deck SRs from Madolche still (easy enough I can probably do a couple 10 pack pulls and craft the rest). The ED is a bit rough, I only have 1 tiramisu and 1 teacher.

If you didn’t realise it yet, the whole gimmick of the deck is that start with 1 weak little shit and you give it good memories (attaching the spell cards to it) by washing it, feeding it, and playing until the cat grows big and strong. Then you let the runts you don’t care for get eaten by Lyriluscs or something. It’s actually quite soulful.

If you want a meta deck that will be a good long-time investment, you should roll on the Labrynth secret pack while it's still available, it will only get stronger with upcoming normal traps and it's still getting archetypal support. Kashtira is also a good investment but be warned that it will get hit by the banhammer eventually. You could also wait for Purrely which is coming in the next Selection Pack.
Glad Beasts and Blackwings are already done, they're my playable decks. Pure Glads led me to Gold I. Tri-Brigade Glads to Plat 3. Blackwings to Plat 1, once I got tired of fricking up the Tri-Glad combo. I want ABC-Ojama just to meme on the ladder every once in a while.

All Tear monsters should be banned, yes. Their way of cheating fusions is inherently a problem. But also the deck with Kit but without Merrli is stronger than what the OCG has. You will not be escaping with Kit unbanned unless they kill at least 1 more main deck mermaid.
dispelling for hugins, pitch 2nd dispelling for fountain, activate 3rd dispelling when your opponent adds or if he gets rid of hugins, fountain draw 3 and hope for 3 good runick cards, plus if fountain dies and you arent dead at the end of the battle phase you just evenly matched, if it gets negated you evenly again (its not OPT). not the best play but at least you can fight a bit back

Their main searcher Purrely excavates three which means it can whiff and forces them to not run many non-names
My friend Purrely reveals three memories and the opponent chooses one, which means a memory getting limited really hurts since you cannot just reveal 3 copies of the one you want.

You chain shifter to Lubellion or Albion, that forces the Branded player to have a toothless Mirrorjade on the field.
If you chain shifter to Branded Fusion, the only play they have is Rindbrumm. With BraFu at 1 that might be the better play going forward.
Either way though, just because you resolve Shifter doesn't mean it's an instant win. Rindbrum is still a threat and so is Ash, and any deck that can use Shifter (Floo, Exosister) still fricking dies to Ash
Shifter is bad to run in this meta though. Shifter decks do not want to be aginst other Shifter decks, it makes Shifter a super brick. With Kashtira existing I dropped Shifter entirely (in Thundra)

The only time I ever saw Branded summon Dragostapelia off Branded Fusion line was after resolving Cherries to banish Mirrorjade.
They will still make Mirrorjade under shifter because it's bigger and it Raigekis in the End Phase, guaranteeing you have a clear field for the next turn.
Add this to them most likely having Ash or possibly Fusion Deployment the next turn, and playing Floo/Exosister is not a guarantee of success.
That's kinda the point I was making though. Shifter vs. Tears was an automatic win off a single card. Vs. The current meta, the power of the card is now much more debatable as it's shit against several decks and it can no longer get free wins from Tears.

Against Tears they could play around it. It only got bad if they greedy, say, they activate Scream,Scheirern, send Kelbek, and hit a Tear name with Scheirein's mill.
Then you chain shifter, they -8 from the deck, summon Kitkallos but Kit has to just sit there because shifter is active. Maybe they add Sulliek or Cryme but you almost banished 25% of their deck with that one card and stunned their field.
Tearlaments are forced to sit on nothing for two turns without being able to fuse under Shifter. It's unlikely they'll be able to do anything all unless they got lucky and opened Scherien and Reihnohart to go into Bagoozka. Outside of that, the entire deck shuts down for two whole turns.

Maxx "C" is the most powerful handtrap, but you can deckbuild and play around it. You literally can't do that against Ash.
IF Maxx C ever gets banned, Ash needs to go down to 2 at least, and CBTG down to 1.
Even without Maxx C, Ash at 3 is still a deckbuilding necessity for the reasons you just mentioned.
Ash is fine at 3 in the TCG as it's meta dependent. Currently, Ash is taking a slight hit in usage in favor of Droll and the handtrap that can win the Droll war, Gamma. Yes, Gamma at 1 is still seeing a lot of play.

Most decklists I see are still running x3 Ash, becuse if you don't resolve Ash against BraFu, Big Welcome or Junk Speeder you basically lose right there.
The Pots are also broken and just the presence of decks like Swordsoul with Desires or Lab with Extravgance means it's stupid to not run both Ash and Droll.

Maxx "C" carries a lot of older decks and lets them be playable. Without it you have set rotation, which is how the TCG actually operates with its banlist.

They're actually going to get quite a bit worse than what we've had to face for the last half year.
In terms of unique function they don't have a lot going on and the hole traps are mostly mid so you have to rely more on generic normal traps that not only don't interact with traptrix all that great but work better in other decks like lab.

Fusions usually start in the early 030s and Yubel being 038 means there's either a ton of packfillers which would be unusual, a anime character getting ritual support, a lore (either Visas or Diabellestarr) getting a ritual archetype/support, a debuting game original ritual deck or a game original ritual deck getting support.
We don't know, the only lore ever to get discontinued was True Draco and that was before lores became wildly popular.

Well Duel Terminal and World Legacy ended, although there's some debate as to whether or not they are the same timeline due to Avida.

Dimension Shifter isn't a meta call. It's always good so you always run it if your deck doesn't get harmed by it. People are just more incentivized to play those decks if it's especially good vs the meta.

Shifter is a often a brick if it's your 6th draw. You MUST open it in the starting 5, and with semi-limit you are more likely to brick with shifter than you are the open it.
I stopped using Shifter and ran Bystials and had way more success against Tear.

That's not how it works.
Blind pitch D-Shifter is always good if your deck can run it. The potential to end the game on the spot against most decks is well worth the risk of running into set 5 pass or Floo/Exo/Kash.

She's mainly used because she can remove any monster that can be used as link material, even things that aren't affected by effects. Monsters that can't be affected are commonly called towers.
You don't encounter them often, but you need to have a way to deal with them to not instantly lose to them. Also your opponent doesn't get a chance to respond to you linking their monster away so you can catch people off guard. She's just generally really good to have around.

Not really. Both Goddess players have different priorities. The turn 1 player wants to Goddess away a boss, while the turn 2 player wants to Skill Drain the field.
Both players end up using 3 mats to make Goddess, but it's to the detriment of the turn 1 player if they're forced to Goddess away combo pieces instead of a boss.

The new Centurion deck is literally 20+ 1 card starters into full combo ending on King Calamity, and like Tears, they can play on your turn.
The only Ashable card is Terraforming, if you don't Maxx, Ogre or Evenly that shit you lose.

King Calamity is just a scapegoat hit. Masurawo is very powerful on its own and Crimson Dragon can just float into Cosmic Blazar, which is just as much a win button as Calamity.
And it's not like Legatia is awful either, especially when protected by Primera.and visa versa.

So a few days ago I wanted to make a Chaos Machine deck that revolved around using the opponent's monsters. I knew it wasn't viable from the start, but now looking at it, seems like it'll hardly ever work.
So I've decided to use the bottom half of this, with Super Poly + Bystials + Lair of Darkness, since these seem more consistent.
What cards work best with them?
Bystial with the Lair of Darkness cards are already a thing. Your biggest problem will be fighting off decks that don't summon much
it is meme tier but darkest diabolos gets triggered by lubellion's summon, then with lair of darkness you can tribute an opponent monster to return a card from their hand to their deck.
You can consider the first of dragons as a fusion target using LoD tokens.
Just one thing tho, LoD sounds incredibly fun and cool on paper, but in practice it's bad. (darkest diabolos is a CbtG/bystial magnet btw)

I played against it with my Dogmatika deck. All it did was summon Zarc on my turn with a trap and then used the GY effect of the trap to swap Zarc for Crystal Wing and three beatsticks.

Casual plat 1 homosexual here. I only have 2 playable decks, a Glad Beasts deck (and the Tri-Brigade variant) and a Blackwings deck. I have an almost finished Unchained deck (need Unicorn, Underworld Goddess, Ashartu and D/D/D Machinex) which I netdecked from somewhere a while ago, 2 decks I like the art but need pretty much all of the engines (Melffy and Madolche), and ABC-Ojama that needs like 6 URs to be finished. Should I go for these? How do they fare against the current bullshit? Any recommendations instead?

Yeah, it looked the strongest of the decks. I have 0 of the Vernusylphs, and would need 2 of each main deck SRs from Madolche still (easy enough I can probably do a couple 10 pack pulls and craft the rest). The ED is a bit rough, I only have 1 tiramisu and 1 teacher.
Do they go alone or are they a mixed engine deck? Can they go with Melffy or Madolche? Do we know if it will be an expensive deck?

Aside from handtraps Purrely is mainly a standalone deck. Considering that they are meta in paper Konami will almost certainly make half their cards URs.

If you didn’t realise it yet, the whole gimmick of the deck is that start with 1 weak little shit and you give it good memories (attaching the spell cards to it) by washing it, feeding it, and playing until the cat grows big and strong. Then you let the runts you don’t care for get eaten by Lyriluscs or something. It’s actually quite soulful.

Of all of those Madolche are by far the best and have been rogue playable since launch. Though you'd need 2 Fenrir and some Vernusylph URs to be playing the best version.

If you want a meta deck that will be a good long-time investment, you should roll on the Labrynth secret pack while it's still available, it will only get stronger with upcoming normal traps and it's still getting archetypal support. Kashtira is also a good investment but be warned that it will get hit by the banhammer eventually. You could also wait for Purrely which is coming in the next Selection Pack.
Glad Beasts and Blackwings are already done, they're my playable decks. Pure Glads led me to Gold I. Tri-Brigade Glads to Plat 3. Blackwings to Plat 1, once I got tired of fricking up the Tri-Glad combo. I want ABC-Ojama just to meme on the ladder every once in a while.
After playing against Labrynth, I've decided I don't want to play Labrynth.
I'll wait until Purrely arrives to see how expensive it will be, I guess. Then decide on Melffy vs Madolche vs Purrely.

All Tear monsters should be banned, yes. Their way of cheating fusions is inherently a problem. But also the deck with Kit but without Merrli is stronger than what the OCG has. You will not be escaping with Kit unbanned unless they kill at least 1 more main deck mermaid.

dispelling for hugins, pitch 2nd dispelling for fountain, activate 3rd dispelling when your opponent adds or if he gets rid of hugins, fountain draw 3 and hope for 3 good runick cards, plus if fountain dies and you arent dead at the end of the battle phase you just evenly matched, if it gets negated you evenly again (its not OPT). not the best play but at least you can fight a bit back

My friend Purrely reveals three memories and the opponent chooses one, which means a memory getting limited really hurts since you cannot just reveal 3 copies of the one you want.
