Is Fire Emblem really that powerful? I had a feeling guts would lose because I thought Dimitri had abilities and Magic that could just end him. But I wasn't expecting like Gigaton level strength.
it depends on the character really, like the average side character? no, but there are several characters that are powered by super magic blood that basically makes them demi-gods in lore, Dimitri is one of them.
not sure if he really is stronger then Guts but I don't see a big issue with it.
>Person A beat Person B who beat Person C who was really strong so Persona A is really strong too
It's moronic powerscaling bullshit. Dimitri gets killed offscreen by generic soldiers when just Golden Age Guts killed a hundred by himself.
note that is something that happens in one scenario, there are other scenario's where he can take down hundreds of dudes without dying. death battle is still total moron but i wouldn't in good faith compare dimitri at his lowest/weakest to guts at his strongest.
>Dimitri gets killed offscreen by generic soldiers
To be fair Dimitri is outright just trying to commit death by Edelgard at that point. The whole culmination of his character arc is that his lust for revenge can't supersede his unresolved grief and he finally gives up and accepts whoever is bringing death his way.
That said I didn't watch the DB but no fricking way does he beat Guts
I'd put Edelgard and Dimitri as equal, but a Javelin of Light is basically a nuke in all but name, so yeah like you have characters who can kill dragons that can physically tank nukes, pretty powerful. but I wouldn't say those two are capable of tanking nukes, its still dumb but i almost understand the logic they used.
not to much of an asspull if you consider fe7 legendaries can apparently warp reality.
yeah that too, the FE6/FE7 legendary were strong enough to change the weather pattern of the world, shit's crazy
Javelins of light are literally cruise missiles for reference
I glanced at their reasoning real quick and yeah it seems weird. Rhea is a dragon and can tank a few of these to the face before becoming mortally wounded, but there's zero reason to apply that power level to humans like Edelgard or Dimitri. The javelins aren't stuff that human antagonists are throwing around, they're being launched out of silos. It's getting into hydrogen bomb vs. coughing baby territory.
The relic weapons + crests are implied to be way stronger than you see in-game, like 1 vs 100 levels of strength, but that just means you can kill Rhea with a couple of relic wielders working together, not tank an ICBM.
1 vs 100 does apply in the musou game 3 hopes granted, where they actually do live up to that, not sure if they were counting that or just giving that a neutral since Guts was also in a musou game.
Also that doesn't even make sense because it's only Edelgard and Byleth v. Rhea in the last few moments of the fight. Before that she took on your entire army which is at the very least 13 other super humans armed with the greatest weapons ever crafted and a few hundred elite soldiers.
(Yes I know Edelgard can one round Rhea from full health even on Maddening with her broken combat art, but that's not what happens in story)
I can't believe there's people that take these battles seriously and feel the need to debate the results instead of just as the cringekino they're supposed to be
that's the real shocking part, death battle has been popcorn trash for over a decade now and you'll have people that honestly get upset over what arbitrary decision a team of morons decide on, I remember in a discord server I got called a pedophile for having a giggle that a small minority of berserk fans were mad over it, insane.
He has dragon blood that makes him inhumanly strong. Like, lifting a merchant's broken down wagon off a road by himself, carrying two barrels filled with rocks on his shoulders while running in full armor up and down a mountain for 12 hours to train, that kind of thing.
No. It was wankery of the highest order (Which is hilarious since he fought Guts, someone who's the epitome of wankery. Cept his is visibly shown).
FE is pretty low tier as far as Vidya goes. The most powerful person FE's ever had is probably Ashera since she actually showed how powerful she really was. Everyone else is either basic to playing weekend at bernies.
Consistency is not Fire Emblem’s forte. See Tharja, she could easily curse someone to instadie and most people wouldn’t even know what hit them AND she doesn’t need that much to do it either in terms of information or material but she’s forced to kill the enemy’s general by throwing fire balls at him like every other person whose able to pick a grimoire.
Bullshit. Griffit has reality bending powers and if Guts is some day going to take him down, he needs to be stronger than him. Frick those Gay emblem effeminates
>Frick those Gay emblem effeminates
You accidentally said the quiet part out loud. That all the complaining is by manime homosexuals insecure about their masculinity.
I've been talking about this with a close friend for awhile and i think the conclusion we came too was "Dimitri could win if he doesn't get hit too many times, but Guts could tank more and outlast him easily" and since Guts is faster, we'd give it to him like 65-70% of the time.
Dimitri is guts before demon armor and dragon slayer. Like the shit dimitri does is explicitly a reference to berserk. So, fighting pre eclipse guts, it's a coin flip, but he loses to peak guts.
Note how even despite the end of RD having Yune's blessing, Ike is still the only character ISIS has ever called "the strongest" in any context, I think he's said to be "one of the strongest" in Engage but no others were specified to be on that level.
to be fair Ike does have several qualifications, dude's father was legendardy and he had his amazing genetics to work with, ontop of actual accomplishments and such, Yeah I'd believe Ike could go toe to toe with 3H or FE4 non mage characters and come out on top. I'm just saying nobody could've fought Ashura on their own, but Ike was needed for the team to have defeated her
I honestly don't understand the obsession with Guts. I read the manga and I liked it. But I've never been crazy about greatswords or looking like Guts like most Berserkgays seem to for some reason.
Me? I've always been more of an Arthurian era knights. I like chivalrous sword and shield knights in plate armor, who are kind, brave, honest, and righteous.
>Guts is the "his just like me" character
Not really, no. No male who grew up in first world country can pretend they're anything like Guts, a boy who never knew his parents, a boy who was forced into becoming a child soldier, a boy who was sold out to be raped by his own foster father, a boy who witnessed the wanton slaughter of his comrades by a demonic army, a boy who witnessed the gangrape of his lover by a pack of demons and his best friend, a boy whose pregnant wife miscarried, and a boy who has to live with knowing that all of his comrades are suffering for all of eternity; and that when he dies, he too will suffer the same fate.
Most death battles are conceptual mirror matches. Ike would have worked of course, but Dimitri is much more recent and so would generate more interest.
This is the ideal male body
Yeah if you wanna get dicked down by hairy old pedarests.
Griffith is litterally me
women killer > child killer
Frick 3 Houses and FRICK powerscalers.

Least dishonest fire emblem secondary
i can't believe the crests are fake news...edelgard was wrong the entire time bros...
DAS RITE

Basically what DB did was that went
>Edelgard > Rhea > Javelin's of Light
>Dimitri > Edelgard (Don't know if that's true, Don't play fire emblem)
So they just put Dimitri on a level of that of a Javelin of light which was fricking big apparently
not to much of an asspull if you consider fe7 legendaries can apparently warp reality.

>Dimitri > Edelgard
Ironically only true on his route and just because Edelgard threw Aymr away
The javelin of light was basically a nuke but there's no reason to think Dimitri or any human character could tank it directly.
The animation was also pretty meh too imo. I guess Torian Crawford left awhile back?
>”Dimitri is stronger”
>Guts brute-forces through Dimitri’s guard the whole fight
>”Guts is faster”
>Dimitri is shown constantly outmaneuvering him
I can't believe there's people that take these battles seriously and feel the need to debate the results instead of just as the cringekino they're supposed to be

>Berserk fans calling anyone else pedos
Fake fans. Real Berserk fans wouldn't care.
He has dragon blood that makes him inhumanly strong. Like, lifting a merchant's broken down wagon off a road by himself, carrying two barrels filled with rocks on his shoulders while running in full armor up and down a mountain for 12 hours to train, that kind of thing.
Dimitri is definitely not the norm.
No. It was wankery of the highest order (Which is hilarious since he fought Guts, someone who's the epitome of wankery. Cept his is visibly shown).

Dimitri is actually based, unlike 99% of fire emblem characters.
The only good thing to come out of these is Dragonball gays being butthurt to this very day.
I CAN FIX HIM
>watch
The fight animation itself was pretty fun, not gonna lie.
go back to twitter
what do they base their life on? getting cucked and ass raped?
>pussied out of saying that Dimitri turns POWs into relief rations
Cutesythea
3hgays are obnoxious buttholes what else is new

>watch
>WATCH????
homie WATCH?
WATCH?
you WATCHED Berserk?
WATCHED?
HAHAHAHAHAHAH
1997 is good, albeit not a full adaptation.
read first
then watch
manga is b&w, fun to mentally fill in your own colors
by the way, if anyone hasn't read Berserk
stop at 364, that is the actual ending
the manga kept going idk why
which one was 364? i read them all in a fiery haze this summer and wasn't paying attention to issue numbers
https://readberserk.com/chapter/berserk-chapter-364/
the continuations are ad hoc
to be fair 1997 anime is how most people first learned of Berserk in the west, and it was basically a kickass commercial for the manga anyways.
i dont disagree, but i had the opposite experience, i dont even think i knew Berserk had an anime when i was reading the manga
but seriously everything past 364 is not canon
Dark Schneider fricks all the blue lion girls while Dimitri is fighting
Dark Schneider could solo Berserk unironically
Dark Schneider solo's most anime's to be fair.
Dimitri is guts before demon armor and dragon slayer. Like the shit dimitri does is explicitly a reference to berserk. So, fighting pre eclipse guts, it's a coin flip, but he loses to peak guts.
Ike is still the strongest protag in all of FE. He´s so damn powerful that he´s literally on blue fire at the end of his second game.
that was with help of a goddess you buffon!
Note how even despite the end of RD having Yune's blessing, Ike is still the only character ISIS has ever called "the strongest" in any context, I think he's said to be "one of the strongest" in Engage but no others were specified to be on that level.
Ike is so strong that he can be in super smash bros and not be hated by everyone
to be fair Ike does have several qualifications, dude's father was legendardy and he had his amazing genetics to work with, ontop of actual accomplishments and such, Yeah I'd believe Ike could go toe to toe with 3H or FE4 non mage characters and come out on top. I'm just saying nobody could've fought Ashura on their own, but Ike was needed for the team to have defeated her
Roy is stronger than Ike.

Me? I've always been more of an Arthurian era knights. I like chivalrous sword and shield knights in plate armor, who are kind, brave, honest, and righteous.
Guts is the "his just like me" character
Modern character are divided between that and the "ideal" man
If you haven't been raped by a Black person Guts can't be literally you
that can be arranged
Every seinenshitter ever.
They said Dimitri had sword breaker and that was useful but Guts doesn't use a sword. What is up with that error?
Guts slabs are known as Iron blades in FE and are swords
Isn't he just Luca Blight, but not evil?
Miura shouldn't have spent so much time playing Idolmaster
Never read Berserk, but I assumed that Guts should have won. Eh, not the worst option for the first FE Death Battle.
Still Surprised they used Dimitri first out of any Fire Emblem character and not Marth, Lucina, Ike even Roy
Most death battles are conceptual mirror matches. Ike would have worked of course, but Dimitri is much more recent and so would generate more interest.
He’s basically the biggest fujobait character ever made. Fujos love cannibalism.
It really should've been Ike. There's more similarities there and it'd be a funner fight even if Guts would've ultra stomped.
