Proprietary wireless protocols by the big players have really do have no added latency these days, it's not like most of the 2010's where they were always slow laggy shit.
Now it's just a matter of the convenience of one less wire and general convenience vs the added weight of the battery and needing to charge it.
I can understand shitting on the RGB desktop meme, but peripherals, really? You can always turn it off of just change it to a dim white light. I'd rather be able to see my keys and mouse in a dark room than not.
I put two RBG fans in front vents on my PC. They're actually pretty nice, makes it obvious at a glance when it's running since everything is so quiet. I'm not changing the rest though, completely superfluous bullshit.
Just found out yesterday that this shit somehow has an even harder to press wheel than the original G502 one. What the frick were they thinking? I thought it was finally the ultimate G502 revision, but no, they fricked it again.
>install mouse software >turn on on-board memory >turn off dpi buttons/set up on 1 dpi setting >delete software
I don't even own G502 anymore if only there was a mouse with this form, but wireless and lighter, it was perfect for my baby small wrists
>zoomies drill holes in the top plastic of theri cheap plastic mice for that massive 2g weight reduction because their girly twig arms get tired >boomers add extra weights to an already chunky mouse
We are just built different.
Same, wish I bought a whole bunch of them to last a lifetime, if I ever find another mouse/peripheral as good I'll make damn sure to buy more this time.
Can any of you gays compare the click volume of this thing to a G203 (ideally Prodigy), if it's that loud it's pretty much a game breaker for upgrading from a Proteus Core. Also kind of put off by people having the main clicks just outright fail instead of double click, even though otherwise the change to the rubber feels a lot better and a G502 that weighs as much as G203 is kind of what I've been wanting for years.
That's not the G502 Hero, and for what it's worth the scroll wheels don't really rust they just lose their outer plating. Mine is mostly just white because it's taken off the top but not gone down to the layer below.
The scroll wheel on this is so fricked. Do NOT buy Logishit products.
G502 is still using an optical scroll wheel so it's in the small percentage of mice that have scroll wheels that will actually last. Logitech has been phasing them out of their mice that used to have them though, even some of the other infinite scroll mice are switching to electromagnetic shit I don't necessarily trust (well it's the servo design for variable scroll resistance in the Basilisk V3 that really scares me and indeed seems to flake out sometimes)
the least comfortable mice ive ever had.
if you have wide hands you will frick your carpal tunnel.
cordless version is lighter than the wired one even without any weights.
still cant bind mouse scroll functions in macro actions in logishit software.
infinity scroll is nice tho.

I like my mouse to be heavier. Your argument is that the existence of wire drag somehow completely invalidates the weight of the mouse? Are you moronic?

Maybe you should try reading the reply chain and figuring out what started it all before having a random spergout.
The most common complaint about the G502 is that it's heavy, because zoomers have been sold on the idea that mice need to be light for accuracy (which is wrong). The g502 is heavy because of its battery primarily. All wireless mice and more heavy than wired mice, but make up for it (under the viewpoint of less resistive force = better) due to the elimination of wire drag.

>All wireless mice and more heavy than wired mice, but make up for it
Wrong. Some of the best mice released in recent months are wireless, and they still weigh less and have a longer battery life than what logishit calls a gaming mouse.
Anonymous
The wired G502 is like 125g and needs another 5-10g of weights in the back to balance out the heavy ass scroll wheel, moron. The only things heavier are super loaded up productivity mice like the MX Master and some MMO mice (although I will note the G600 is actually a lot lighter if you take the ballast weight out of it) Wireless version actually ended up lighter because they changed the giga homie scroll wheel and things. Now the wireless G502 X is barely lighter than the old wireless G502 while the wired version is a shitload lighter and comparable to small size mice from a few years ago before the hole technology craze.

I own one and I have a few issues with it.
- switches are loud as frick
- MMB is hard to click, I reminded it to another button because of that
- Free scrolling isn't as good as in older models
But for the fine price of 30€ I could not find better mouse. I won an auction.
>unlockable scroll wheel >scroll left/right >enough binds to not need to unbound mouse 4/5 >binds that are just out of the way enough to be perfect for shit like a universal alt+tab macro

I have a Lamzu Atlantis and Pulsar Xlite, both great mice mogging anything from brands like Logitshit or Razer, however I'd still like to try out the A950 from Dareu - it's a 55 gram mice with an aluminum-magnesium top.
They're like a dozen other formerly premium companies at the top of their game, coasting on their reputation while outsourcing all their shit and pumping more funds into marketing than producing good products people actually want. Logitech used to make some of the best mice on the market. Reliable, long-lived products with cutting edge tech and design. I've been through three modern Logitech mice in the last two years. Double clicking, failed receivers, random sensor failures. Just junk products sold by a company I once eagerly awaited announcements from.
>wired >heavy
you really need to go to a store and just try a light wireless mouse in the current year, you'll just never go back to this lump of turd. It's not even a real mouse by comparison. Like you are literally handicapped if you use this
I guess Razer is a meme but I really like this mouse, picked it up on sale a year ago and have enjoyed using it since. It's lightweight, the cable never gets in the way, and I like the little sniper or whatever they call it button on the side.
Mine is one of the biggest pieces of shit I had the misfortune of shelling out for. >randomly slightly moves on a regular basis, maybe once or twice every minute (blasted the sensor with compressed air, didn't do anything) >shitload of annoying software >scroll wheel quickly became gunked up with some shit that makes it near impossible to move without forcing it (probably the glue from the left side of the wheel that's just a really fricking shitty sticker instead of moulded plastic that started falling off just a few weeks in) >have to tear the whole fricking thing apart to even get inside to figure out what the problem is
I like the design but I just want the same shit but relatively bulletproof instead of $59 in brand costs and $1 in actual fricking materials.
Should I just get a G502 or does it have the same bullshit wrong with it?
>shitload of annoying software
I'll definitely agree with you on this, it's entirely unnecessary bloatware. I have a roccat mouse and after you program it you can close it and everything is stored on the mouse, even the RGB settings. Razer wants you to leave their shit open all the time.
Razer is king right now. Ganker has trouble staying up to date on their memes but logitech is the one with MASSIVE quality control issues. They have secret return policies if you mention double click because it's so bad they probably could get in trouble with the FTC if it was more public.
The basilisk one I posted earlier is a little larger than standard mice and I really appreciate the thumb rest, I have long fingers and it fits my hand pretty well. Most of their mice are on the smaller side, though.
>he didn't suck my wiener >that must mean he sucks their wiener
Put a bullet through your head you are the actual reason this shit is able to happen
MX518 for me. Ordered the newer G version since the wheel on the one I've had for like 12 years is hardly working. Probably try to take my current one apart and clean it when the new one arrives.
MX518 scroll wheel problems are almost always the thing gunking up, my scroll wheel itself has been pretty good since I cleaned it out an eternity ago but the middle click still hardens up and has to be broken loose to only be really stiff.
What's a modern mouse that's heavy as shit like the good ol' logitech g400, preferably without the logitech made to fail design philosophy like the G400's shitty wire.
MX518 for me. Ordered the newer G version since the wheel on the one I've had for like 12 years is hardly working. Probably try to take my current one apart and clean it when the new one arrives.
Objectively correct. There's no reason to even have a thread since it's non debatable.
If you have gamer peripherals or gay lights on your desktop, mouse or keyboard, you're in the troony pipeline. This shit is homosexual-tier.
Have sex loser
Funny, this mouse has 3 tiny leds to show your dpi setting. There is no controlable RGB through the software. It's the G502X
It's an amazing mouse.
Still a gaming mouse, troon
And the extra 3 buttons come in very handy.
its arguably more useful for work than games.
I've been looking for a new mouse for a couple of years. Is wired still way better?
Proprietary wireless protocols by the big players have really do have no added latency these days, it's not like most of the 2010's where they were always slow laggy shit.

I prefer wired but that's because i am both cheap and a boomer who is adverse to changes.
wireless is one of those deals where if you try it you'll never want to go back
try one of those keychron mice, they're around $50 and good

There is literally no situation where your wire is not imparting drag onto your mouse, far more than 20g of weight could ever impart.
If your iq wasn't two digits you'd be able to reduce it to being a non factor.

Cool design. Once you're done gaming you can use it to frick your ass while your bull plows "your" wife
If logitech sold one with the functionality of the G502 I would.
Most people don't simply because they aren't shilled however.

Cuz you have to counteract every click with a squeeze of your thumb to prevent the mouse from moving sideways when clicking.
