Dragons Dogma 2 is coming out which is usually indicator for them testing out their new engine. Why I was laughing my ass off playing Worlds BETA and the combat and monster mounting reminded me of Dragons Dogma
Human antagonist would be a pretty fresh idea but it would also be dangerously close to Sonyslop like Horizon.
Not that story matters at all but every MH story being eviler elder dragon controlling the evil flagship does get old. Maybe if the eviler dragon had sentience of some kind like what is implied with Fatalis.
The problem with human antagonists are the politics that come with it. It's not like hunters are human anyway they are descendants of humonoids and we already get along with Wyverians who are closer to Wyverns. When World came out there were a small number of "articles" about how MH is reenforcing colonialism and we def don't need more of that.
Lockon is a crutch for controller players, free camera feels so much more precise. Also playing Monster Hunter made me more comfortable with no-lock on in Souls which is really useful at times.
Lock-on in Monster Hunter is a bad idea. Imagine having to switch the lock on the monster's leg or head each time you want to hit their specific body part.
Naturally, but newer players see "controller recommended" everywhere and they aren't ready for claw grip or just having to multitask movement, attacks and camera. I recon it's only them who could possibly ask for Souls-like lock-on specifically, which is ironic because in Souls everyone recommends fighting big monsters unlocked.
>Lock-on >Free cam
How come no one talks about the Target Camera? It's been probably my favorite form of camera control since it was introduced in 3 Ultimate, and I can't think of any other game that's used something similar besides Monster Hunter. It gives you all the benefits of a free camera but with a quick and snappy "look directly at the target" button to instantly reorient yourself. The best of both worlds, in my opinion. It was obviously made to work around the 3DS's lack of camera control, but since it was in both World and Rise I sincerely hope it becomes a series staple going forward.
Dark Souls doesn't have a Target Cam, it has Lock-on. Monster Hunter introduced it in World and called it the Focus Cam. It also sucked and I'm not talking about that.

He’s moronic and misunderstood you, but your previous comment was also pointless
Everyone knows about Target Cam, it’s what everyone who isn’t both a Worldsperm AND an idiot uses. What is there to say? We know.

You've also got the veterans that swear by free caming it. Some of them apparently swore off the Target Cam even in the 3DS games and exclusively used the alternatives like the touch screen d-pad, New 3DS nub, or the Circle Pad Pro. Crazy, right?

I preferred the extended slide pad HORI made for 4U where it let you claw comfortably.
>Shitting on something that wasn't even that bad
Shit on shit that actually matters, like how the world's monsters are fricking ass and boring to look at.
Of course it hasn’t been killed yet. Monster hunter Now is making them too much money to abandon it. But please look forward to a gacha-tier mobile game experience with MH6!
>DD2 is their current big game push >dude why won't they pull hype off of that to announce a new monhun?
Summer next year will be the announcement.
It'll coincidentally be about the time Nintendo announces their next console.
MH6 will hype up total cross play and an all platform release that is either simultaneous or with mere months between initial launch and remaining platforms.
nintendo can't afford to wait until fricking summer to just announce switch 2 two years later than intended and absolutely no one ever wants world 2 on switch
>World 2
It's not going to be World 2.
It's going to be more stylized. Better looking than Rise, but doesn't have the sheer graphical fidelity of World.
And i won't even bother interacting with your moronic console wars bait.
>They're totally going to hold back their current biggest selling franchise during its 20th anniversary to push a sequel to a 10 year old niche game.
DD is lucky its even getting a sequel in the first place
>Doing a 20th anniversary push >Milked the everloving shit out of RiseBreak >Even recently went back and Deck Verified Monster Hunter World
Just wait. We'll see it soon. Announced at Game Awards, release window of June 2024. DD2 will be Feb/March 2024 and close out their fiscal year.
>absolutely can’t wait for DD2 >part of me is still looking forward to just hearing about MH6 more
I am hopeless. The broken MonHun consumer. I’d even take a ‘remaster’ of an older game in the meantime to tide me over.
Capcom hinted at TGS that there would be an announcement for the anniversary coming up. My guess is that they probably have an advertisement deal with Nintendo and are saving the reveal for the Switch 2 announcement event, otherwise we would have seen at least a teaser already.
Capcom are unironically fricking saints for giving us TWIN (wyvern) girls with black hime cuts. One of them even goes around singing like an angel and they have cutely contrasting personalities. Holy shit god bless them, god bless Capcom, absolute saints, absolute saviors of the industry. Say whatever about Rise or still act sour about how annoying you found the Handler, I DON'T CARE. They are incredible for giving us these perfect goddesses, these angels.
It always implied Team B saw Handler, how much a dick Team A was when they pull a bait and switch with Serious Handler, and how super focus Handler was for the expansion. Nearly every girl in Rise/Sunbreak is a waifu of some kind as a result of this.
Capcom actually releasing a high-effort new game in a Nintendo platform's launch window instead of waiting until it's way too late sounds like a pipe dream.
I feel like they’re gonna alternate between Nintendo-focus and not for years to come
It’s obviously moronic nomenclature, but the ‘home vs portable’ shtick is probably their plan
Well Rise was nothing more than a switch compatible MH
If you want a game on the switch it has to be downgraded to not have significant costs of porting
snoy killed every reason to buy their shit and didn't even stop to think about it, what makes you think the equally pozzed capcom won't kill the series you cannot pozz full force without most of playerbase leaving?
Yeah. They rolled back Gen’s moronic changes to CB, World’s moronic changes to SnS, and they’ll roll back HH’s changes
The series will just be Ryozo and Ichinose play fighting over whose stupid decisions will stick
Probably. There isn't really much point in having a note bar if each song is only the one note anyway. They'll either go back to how it used to be, or simplify it even further by just having four icons that light up when you play them.
I did occasionally play HH back in World and Iceborn and Rise's changes do really blow. The fact that it was kinda complex and gimmicky was what made it fun
uhh you don't understand chud doing shit ass attacks so you can wave around a dildo for 5 centuries and get a buff that lasts less than it takes you to cum is SOUL
>Even after launch it'll be a full year to have Master Rank added >That's only if they don't take the money for Sony exclusivity, adding another 6-12 months
Honestly this is the one series I wish they'd floor it on GaaS. Just stack new ranks and more monsters on top of the base game with expansions.
>silently?
tards loved world and made a big deal about how great it was to have a game built just for them and then rise came along and those same tards got even happier
MH6 will be announced next year after DD2 launches
Unless they're announcing a remaster at the Game Awards or something, there's no way they release two major games in Q1 of next year
Assuming it was a guaranteed feature for MH6, how would you fix clutch claw? >Make wallbangs deal high part damage to the head/front parts of a monster, but temove the guaranteed knockdown, since it's way too much of a reward for something that's incredibly easy to pull off. It already works this way for Fatalis and it's totally fine, just make it standard >Remove claggers since they frick up pacing, have people invest in exhaustion if they want free grapples >Keep CC attacks but turn the damage bonus into a purely partbreak damage boost, and give CC a niche as a tool people can use to focus on parts they want to break or as a way to disrupt flying monsters instead of a mandatory tool that you're always incentivezed to go for because it's a straight up damage boost
Make it purely used as a flinch function that requires emptying your slinger ammo or have it help transition into monster mounting. Keep exchangeable skills and give each weapon unique clutch claw attacks, bring back the cool Lance clutch claw counter, give DB one that triggers during perfect evades that leads into Spiral Slash, allow SnS the option to turn falling bash into a clutch claw sword attack for bigger damage in exchange for the stagger from the shield, etc.
>>Make wallbangs deal high part damage to the head/front parts of a monster, but temove the guaranteed knockdown >To add to that topples should only occur when the monster is exhausted >Assuming they bring back slinger ammo the effect of your slinger burst should be dependent on the ammo you use, so only certain types of ammo can inflict partbreak damage boost, others can deal straight damage or inflict blights etc.
Clutch Claw would be good if they removed tenderizing. Giving melee weapons a way to consistently attack flying monsters, and having a wallbang (that needs to be nerfed) that makes it so you can trade off extra damage for the monster being enraged more is a great idea.
The only issue was the tenderizing.
>try playing GL in world >between the differences in shelling between the shell types, lack of blast dash, lack of EC, and lack of guard reload it's unfun
i get why you'd miss blast dash and EC but how are different shell types an issue? long is about charging shells all day, wide is about pokeshelling (and wyrmstake cannon since it actually hits like a freight train on a tenderized weakspot) and normal is about full burst so you have three different playstyles to dick around with
as far as i'm concerned the only real issue was that long gunlance was brain dead and trivialized a lot of fights in iceborne but other than that, compared to the weak heat gauge dogshit i had to deal with in GU it was a huge breath of fresh air
>but how are different shell types an issue? long is about charging shells all day, wide is about pokeshelling (and wyrmstake cannon since it actually hits like a freight train on a tenderized weakspot) and normal is about full burst so you have three different playstyles to dick around with
The problem is that those "play styles" all just boil down to picking out one move from the weapon's move pool and spamming that exclusively because everything else gets massive damage penalties
It'd be more interesting if the different playstyles actually had a fully distinct moveset and not just 1 buffed up move you spam at the expense of everything else
I forget but it was listed in a rundown of things they said either about RiseBreak or about 20th anniversary.
And just look at all the money and effort they spent designing the armor and weaponry. That's a HUGE investment as far as this series goes. They wanted them to become staples and since we liked them, they are.
>laughs in prowlers >laughs in shakalakas
they won't even leave followers because followers remove any reason to interact with most of this series playerbase
>The franchise has been silently killed hasn't it?
No, they announced at TGS to look forward to their 20th anniversary during March of next year. Normally Capcom announces their games at TGS but for Monster Hunter they are clearly giving themselves extra time for the next big mainline game which will be announced in March.
because unless you're a moron and let them stay combined all the time getting extracts out of that slow ass piece of shit is a joke
plus since second bug is near always alive you can get extracts off it (or from any local shitmons)
I really wish they'll be back in the next game, really fun and unique fight, and Seltas is a cool early game monster. I just hope we get more bugs in general too
>that's what layered armor is for
thanks for saying exactly what i said in my post
you don't need to waste a monster slot on trash for armor transmog to exist
iceborne had four games' worth of banbaro by itself, i was so fricking sick of this moron being everywhere and screeching at me from behind while i was fighting something else
>HH
thrown back into pits of irrelevance as everything crying about it has left >french baguette
left a boring mid you can't use until endgame because sharpness lol >GL
dead and buried, brings back overheat for additional measure >CB
made broken yet again by some other way yet not existing >DB
literally no one cares even devs
You say that yet they stripped down everything MS has in terms of mechanics and implemented it all over the series, wire bugs and aerial styles? MS did it first, cutting and impact damage on the same weapon? MS bro, multi directional evades with counters and I-frames? b***h this is all due to MS
>Gunlance
Shell types removed, max shells is equal to current long.
Charged shelling removed, fully replaced by blast dash
Stake removed, fully replaced by Erruption Cannon
Quick Reload now combined with Guard Reload, total ammo reload with a guard point (guard window reduced)
Shelling damage adjusted to rarity of the weapon with a rank modifier
Main combo made slightly faster (upswing, slam, full burst, swipe, EC combo)
Wyvernfire gains the super charge ability from Frontier, allowing loading of available shells (and EC charge) to increase damage
Wyvernfire is also changed to one single hit
New action related to the shield
Why is everyone so obsessed with mounts and pets? What's wrong with the game just being about hunting monsters and not fishing minigames or companion management or some other bullshit?
sorry the truth hurts you so much homosexual
nobody cared about normie shit while MH games filtered morons

Someday you will grow up and realize your shitflinging amounted to nothing. You will realize that correlation is not causation and there are a million other reasons for why you are mad in life.
I've been playing since 1st gen and I've absolutely heard ideas about steering the game into a generic direction from day 1.
uh... because the overarching story of Monster Hunter is the rapid adaptation of biotech that will inevitably lead to the collapse of civilization again and we're advancing towards it, duh?
Also >Sky fights
First near deathblow was dealt when trannies joined in the peak of 3DS hacking which also happened to be the peak of the worst MH game, and then w*rld came out and completely killed every chance for it to recover
Im a GS gay, I only hunt with GS unless I needed to break stuff instead of cutting parts, and still I managed to avoid that most of the time doing Barrel Bombing
I would be more partial to female armor if the helms weren't just "oversized wig that's a different color from the character's eyebrows" 99% of the time
I would be more partial to female armor if the helms weren't just "oversized wig that's a different color from the character's eyebrows" 99% of the time
it's female for me
How the frick can you play a game as a female? Even more so an online game where some people might take you for a female? You're closeted trannies there is no other way
because before world/rise (and GU) we didnt have layered armor and clownsuits/mixed sets tend to look alot better on females than males, this is an objective fact.
It's mainly just Rise that was easy. Sure everyone loves wirebugs and not falling down on their ass but when you plow through every quest with a billion ailments it becomes boring. I shouldn't be able to beat Primordial Malzeno on my first try without a min-maxed set. The game really doesn't have a Fatalis-level threat. Maybe unless you grind 300 AR levels.
>It's mainly just Rise that was easy.
World was just as easy. Nothing in that game before tempered monsters can even hope to kill you. >The game really doesn't have a Fatalis-level threat.
This comment is a perfect example of the problem I have, that it's somehow okay for 99% of the game to be boring as long as 1% of it will kick your ass.
>This comment is a perfect example of the problem I have, that it's somehow okay for 99% of the game to be boring as long as 1% of it will kick your ass.
Yikes. I'm just pointing out the most obvious example of a hard fight so I don't have nitpicky anons pull apart any other monster I list as "nuh uh my 4 man team beat him before 50 mins so it's not hard".
The Arch-tempered fights, MR Kulve solo, Alatreon, Raging Brachy and other DLCs were toughies that required more attempts than Sunbreak DLCs.
I agree 100%
Fatalis was great, very obviously. Lightning in a bottle.
Him being a fantastic finish doesn’t negate an overall mediocre roster until you finally reach mid G rank and they simply brought back good, older monsters while also adding subs to make the base game shitmons vaguely interesting. It’s a baffling stance.
>it's somehow okay for 99% of the game to be boring as long as 1% of it will kick your ass
That 99% is basically the tutorial and the 1% can last you hundreds of hours. Where exactly is the issue?
>The game really doesn't have a Fatalis-level threat.
I mean, if you haven't done the advance quests you have no room to talk.
That said what Fatty are you talking about, classic White event can give you a run for your money but normal versions of Fatty are extremely easy especially the world one where it's just a matter of a dps check.
I feel like most of these people were either undergeared or using terrible weapons, endgame fights in most MH games tend to vary significantly in difficulty depending on which weapon you're using
>Do you think monsters will ever actually feel threatening again? >World and Rise were just depressing.
Here's the sad truth, it's not that it's easier, hell the fact that the 90 degree turns were fixed in world and rise made monsters a bit less predictable in some cases well not in world because tracking was ass, it's the fact that you got good at the game.
Nothing will ever give you that sense of difficulty again.
You can't even go back to the older games because the only thing that made them hard was that they were clunky and once you get past that learning curve again you're playing an even easier game.
Oh eat shit
Monsters in older games had worse hitzones across the board, stronger tracking on most moves, higher speed and damage multipliers on rage modes, weapon movesets were weaker, gear was weaker and more expensive, you got way fewer drops from hunts, you can shove that shit right up your ass
Hunters have gotten nothing but massive buffs every single gen while monsters get nothing outside of a handful of designated endgame fights
>Monsters in older games had worse hitzones across the board, stronger tracking on most moves, higher speed and damage multipliers on rage modes, weapon movesets were weaker, gear was weaker and more expensive,
Yeah, that's the nostalgia talking. Aside from select monsters like Garuga and Tiggy they were all just sitting ducks for you pound into the ground.
In fact speaking of Garuga let's compare it to FU and World on this particular point >damage multipliers on rage modes
In FU when it was in rage it got a 1.5 multiplier to attack. Sounds substantial right? But nothing else saw an increase, same speed and same defense.
Basically it was the same monster that did a little bit more damage.
In world it gets a 1.2 boost to damage but it also gets a 1.1 boost to defense and speed not to mention it was already hitting harder as it is.
Of course world isn't the best example because again, ass tier tracking, but in that regard it was buffed.
I really want a giant boomerang weapon, but not the one from the concept art. I want it to be similar to the way the girl from Inuyasha uses/holds it. Having a combination melee and range weapon would be amazing.
The obfuscation of progression in pre-World games are so annoying. There is no reason for the progression from 4* village quests to 5* village quests needs to be so hidden
Haha that's one thing I noticed while playing the older games. I ended up using the wiki but the obfuscation really just made me complete every quest before moving on to the next rank.
Haha that's one thing I noticed while playing the older games. I ended up using the wiki but the obfuscation really just made me complete every quest before moving on to the next rank.
The frick you talking about, key quest highlights has being a thing since Tri, and IIRC started with FU if you actually read the descriptions before selecting a quest
Dude FU is easy as frick. I took my Worldbab friend through it and we were using High Rank armor through most of G-Rank because we were too lazy to grind.
>The frick you talking about, key quest highlights has being a thing since Tri
Its not just key quests, its having key quests unlocked by both yellow quests from npcs in the quest list but then ALSO having to remember that there is a cat in your palico ranch you have deliver items that you can only fuse from your pouch mid-quest, before you can even unlock the next key quest
I hope MH6 has move variety again like in Rise and Generations. I usually picked a few I liked and stuck with them, but having another option to tinker with and experiment around is super fun.
Which MH game should I try if I didn't like World or Rise?
World's "living world" gimmicks felt too shallow and more like a marketing point while Rise combat was too buttonmashy, and both games had terrible pacing just rushing you from one piss easy fight to the next with no highs or lows
I would enjoy a little more downtime and preparation between fights and having to plan more for each individual monster so the fights are actually meaningful, do any of the older games provide that?
>good
Any of the ones with a HH, that’s the only thing that matters. But who cares, use the ones you like until you’re on 250 anomalies, and then KEEP using the ones you like anyways
GS, CB, hammer, DB and IG. the strongest ones pretty much except hammer kek. not because theyre the strongest but because they just so happen to be my favorite weapons in 4th gen, insect glaive in general has remained one of my favorite weapons since 4U despite it never being as strong ever again
Dala is fun. I needed to grind something for my weapon and I had to min-max that fight to be as efficient as possible. It's the closest I've got to speedrunning and influencing things to fall your way feels really good.
I want MH6 to get rid of WEX and to tune down all sources of affinity that's not innate to the weapon
Also get rid of health (regen) augments and force people to actually care about getting hit
I kind of hurt my soul the wallpaper reward was a mobile one, but then somebody mentioned in another thread PC users are all using something like wallpaper engine anyway, I am myself even not gonna downgrade to a static image
i'm gonna go see what wallpaper engine has for monster hunter
I really think it was a dumb decision to hold off several months after the anniversary to finally announce English and PC EDF6. even if it meant a bigger wait from announce to release people were really hoping for it
MH6 better have tiddy and ass physics >implying >when these israelites removed huntresses's feminine walking animations
I hope they don't go full israelite on mods yet
It's incredible how the entire western MH content creation sphere managed to launch a collective smear campaign against Rise that irreversibly destroyed the game's reputation up to and including youtubers leaking review copies to dataminers so they could dump all the assets before the game even released
>they weren't introducing any monsters new to the series.
I mean it's not like World and Iceborne were that hot there either. Deviljho and Rajang were explicitly held back from the base game for DLC. Lunastra is basically a Teo variant. Furious Rajang, Raging Brachy and Frostfang Barioth were variants. Alatreon and Fatalis were great but not "new to the series" either. So it's literally just Kulve and the 2 collab monsters.
Kulve, Safi, Behemoth, Leshen are brand new to the series. The other monsters were at least new to the game rather than purely subspecies or Risen versions. Variants I'll give you but Raging Brachy has its own special fight going on. The only monster brand new to RiseBreak came from Iceborne.
Safi is just a mishmash of Xeno, Kulve and Behemoth mechanics on top of literally being directly related to an existing monster (Xeno), it's about as much of a new monster as Allmother Narwa
Also Rise/Sunbreak rare species and variants were generally better than World/Sunbreak variants imo, and Risen are far better than ATs
Alatreon and Fatalis absolutely mog Amatsu though and Velkhana was really obvious filler

>some of its weapons have nice designs with the RGB dragon/Jellyfish theme >some of theme are just its design slapped on previous weapons >has no other upgrades
Its a real shame, and its supposed to be an Elder dragon?
Unpopular opinion but I think what they did with HH in rise is interesting, a bit of a hit and a miss. I like that it was sped up and the shockwave thing was neat especially after the switch skill that lets you do more hits but I don't like how they cut the range of it in half compared to world. In world the HH felt like you were swinging a log around, in rise it feels like a metal chair.
But other than that, what MH are you playing right now and hunting / doing what?
I'm in rise endgame, messing with heaven-scent lance builds, of all things. Anomaly grind is annoying like usual but getting there.. Friend still has to fight amatsu to unlock the last melding cycles so that will be...fun.
I like it aesthetics wise, I like that they gave the weapon a clear identity as the musical one by making many animations look like dancing and twirling and stuff. Playing sections of a melody as notes is cool.
But the weapon should be less shallow. It's fun to play and look at for a bit but it's so easy to master there's no real challenge when you find out there's just 1 attack loop to play over and over. >But other than that, what MH are you playing right now and hunting / doing what?
Nothing atm, I had my fun and just waiting for the rest. Thinking about emulating 3U. I make MH fanart and finished drawing all 14 weapons, was mostly wondering what should I draw for the anniversary.
Heaven sent lance is really cool, I hope some of Rise's weirder skills make a come back.
I hit AR300 a few weeks ago and have been unlocking special investigations for every monster since. My goal is to get both standard map and arena map SIs for each monster.
>announcing the game at the anniversary in March would steal a, lot of attention and coverage from DD2 >DD2 presentation set on 28th, having the spotlight before TGA >MH Now receiving the first major update on the same day of TGA, almost like they want to benefit for an announcement made that day >also last fiscal report indicated an increase in sales for World and Rise in January-March
They gonna reveal it at TGA, the market DD2 until March, and from April to Fall is gonna be all about MH6
But who the frick plays MH in english? They didn't even bother dubbing the Dango song.
JP is already pushing it despite the high quality voice actors, but those same voice actors also do the MH language option.
So you get top tier Asumi Kana in both JP and MH language.
Why did they nominate World, a 2018 game, for the Steam Awards when Rise got its final grand update this year?
https://twitter.com/monsterhunter/status/1727039505121595685
Man I can't wait for a trailer so I can start waiting for the game to release so I can start waiting for the g rank trailer so I can wait for the actual game to release.
World was the first game in the series where I didn't play the G-Rank expansion at the same time and it was great. There was enough meat to keep me entertained with the endgame quests and DLC that I was able to take a break and pick it up again when Iceborne came out. However for Rise I was playing other games so I waited until Sunbreak.
Why did they nominate World, a 2018 game, for the Steam Awards when Rise got its final grand update this year?
https://twitter.com/monsterhunter/status/1727039505121595685
World is unironically the only good monster hunter game. I'm glad mh6/world 2 is confirmed to be PS5 exlcusive so it's actually being built for hardware that isn't over 2 decades out of date.
Pretty sure it's 2-3 no life gays. They either dedicate their time to /mhg/ or Ganker threads making the same jokes about poopbreak or worldsperm while the rest of us are trying to discuss the franchise we genuinely love.
>Nominates MHW on Steam Awards >MHW gets verified for Steam Deck out of nowhere >Capcom expects to start selling lot of copies World and Iceborne again in the first 3 months of 2024 >MH Now gets an update with a whole new bunch of World content exactly the day of TGA
Oh frick off, writing is on the wall right now
See ya in two weeks
Honestly both sides are moronic >Rise sold like 13m copies and was the best selling 3rd party on Switch by a wide margin, but somehow it flopped >World sold even more and PS5/Xbox/PC have ofc a massively bigger installed base than Switch 2 at release, but Capcom will totally MH6 focus on Nintendo like Rise
>Now for certain it was planned for World from a 100% correct leak that predicted all the update monsters >got cut along with Alatreon >Alatreon, however, got added to Iceborne >Oroshi is still MiA
So what happened?
>outsells every single game in company history except for one other game in the same series
Can anyone explain what makes either of the 2 top-selling games in company history a flop?
Because FU is a pretty comprehensive collection of all the games before it, and unless you're a masochist or just really interested in shit like the other villages or the yama tsukami chase phase there's not much reason to go any further back
Again, I'm not that anon or whatever. Rise adds a bunch of stuff(especially QoL ones) that I liked but they also added/modified stuff I don't like. Biggest I didn't like is the HH changes. Next has to be the wirebugs since they're just a repurposed clutch claw for movement and mounting. Wyvern riding is pretty cool though. Spiritbirds are meh, having to run around the map for max buffs is pretty annoying, and should have been more of an optional thing that gives unique buffs instead of the standard buffs you should be getting when preparing before a hunt. Never liked the Rampage quests, too. Could have been done with the large monsters that actually have smaller versions of them rather than a collection with a major threat.
There is no argument to be had, you're a raging sperg using years old images because you can't say anything new
Ill see you next thread too, even though you're certainly not wanted

Frick off please
Lockon is a crutch for controller players, free camera feels so much more precise. Also playing Monster Hunter made me more comfortable with no-lock on in Souls which is really useful at times.
Lock-on in Monster Hunter is a bad idea. Imagine having to switch the lock on the monster's leg or head each time you want to hit their specific body part.
Lock on is only useful for aerial dual blades in rise
Controller players have been playing without lockon far longer than kb+m controls have been available
>Lock-on
>Free cam
How come no one talks about the Target Camera? It's been probably my favorite form of camera control since it was introduced in 3 Ultimate, and I can't think of any other game that's used something similar besides Monster Hunter. It gives you all the benefits of a free camera but with a quick and snappy "look directly at the target" button to instantly reorient yourself. The best of both worlds, in my opinion. It was obviously made to work around the 3DS's lack of camera control, but since it was in both World and Rise I sincerely hope it becomes a series staple going forward.
have a nice day dark souls gay, go play some other shit lock on combat game
I preferred the extended slide pad HORI made for 4U where it let you claw comfortably.
>human protagonist
>male handler
You sound like a homosexual
hating on Handler is reddit
>hating on reddit is reddit
It's a mainline entry so yeah it's made by the main team fricking moron
>Shitting on something that wasn't even that bad
Shit on shit that actually matters, like how the world's monsters are fricking ass and boring to look at.
No Monoblos no buy
No Lagiacrus, No buy
Of course it hasn’t been killed yet. Monster hunter Now is making them too much money to abandon it. But please look forward to a gacha-tier mobile game experience with MH6!
What's the name of that fart monkey? Yeah, no him, no buy.
unfortunately Ryozo is still here to stay
uhh you can't just say stuff like that
>DD2 is their current big game push
>dude why won't they pull hype off of that to announce a new monhun?
The franchise death could've been prevented if Capcom had implemented the Gun Sword from Lost Planet 2 as a new weapon class
ive never heard of that game
meds
>MH6 hasn't been announced yet
>It will still definitely happen and definitely be good
Based fatty
I gotta say, I love that Fatalis has such a conveniently diminutive, nonthreatening nickname
>Doing a 20th anniversary push
>Milked the everloving shit out of RiseBreak
>Even recently went back and Deck Verified Monster Hunter World
Just wait. We'll see it soon. Announced at Game Awards, release window of June 2024. DD2 will be Feb/March 2024 and close out their fiscal year.
It's not going to be that close to DD2.
August or September, maybe, but not June.
>August or September, maybe, but not June.
It absolutely will be that close to DD2. DMC5 was only two months away from RE2R.
Monster Hunter is on a schedule. It's like COD or Pokemon. There will be a new one in the first half of 2024.
Mh has more priority than dd2
mh6 came out earlier this year on your smartphone
>absolutely can’t wait for DD2
>part of me is still looking forward to just hearing about MH6 more
I am hopeless. The broken MonHun consumer. I’d even take a ‘remaster’ of an older game in the meantime to tide me over.
shut up and go hunt a rathalos
itll be here before you know it

fricking why
I still have a shitload of stuff to do in Sunbreak anyway.
>Nearly every girl in Rise/Sunbreak is a waifu of some kind as a result of this.
that explains why I suddenly started loving pixels
I'm still mad they never let her be a follower
>you can even take them out hunting in sunbreak
definitely a based move on capcom's part
Capcom actually releasing a high-effort new game in a Nintendo platform's launch window instead of waiting until it's way too late sounds like a pipe dream.
I feel like they’re gonna alternate between Nintendo-focus and not for years to come
It’s obviously moronic nomenclature, but the ‘home vs portable’ shtick is probably their plan
The reveal is clearly in march at an anniversary event
The focus on MH6 is on PS/Xbox/PC.
It will release on Switch 2 as well but they would never announce it at a Nintendo event.
They truly fricked up everything with Rise. It's amazing to me that MHW still has a higher playerbase on PC than Rise.
>cheaper game with better graphics gets played more
Well Rise was nothing more than a switch compatible MH
If you want a game on the switch it has to be downgraded to not have significant costs of porting
Most of Rise players are on Switch
And most World players are on Playstation, what's your point?
factually untrue, World's PC sales overtook PS4 a while ago
yes capcom silently killed their best selling franchise
>One of Capcom's best grossing licenses has been killed
You dumb
Post Fiorayne
snoy killed every reason to buy their shit and didn't even stop to think about it, what makes you think the equally pozzed capcom won't kill the series you cannot pozz full force without most of playerbase leaving?
>the 2nd most successful game in capcom's existence killed the series!
Why are people this moronic?
Do you want a rushed game with a shitty roster and boned/iron'd weapons?
Or do you only care about muh gwafix?
No? then shut the frick up
I love monster hunter so much bros
The real question is
Will HH ever recover from how moronic it was made in Rise
Yeah. They rolled back Gen’s moronic changes to CB, World’s moronic changes to SnS, and they’ll roll back HH’s changes
The series will just be Ryozo and Ichinose play fighting over whose stupid decisions will stick
hopefully it just gets removed from the series
Probably. There isn't really much point in having a note bar if each song is only the one note anyway. They'll either go back to how it used to be, or simplify it even further by just having four icons that light up when you play them.
How about they roll back GS' moveset and get rid of that shitty superarmor move and cartwheel?
I did occasionally play HH back in World and Iceborn and Rise's changes do really blow. The fact that it was kinda complex and gimmicky was what made it fun
They lowered the skill floor but also drastically lowered the skill ceiling. Can't see how anyone can feel good "mastering" that weapon anymore.
God the hits on this thing feel so fricking meaty in World/IB, this webm brings me back
There was no skill ceiling don't delude yourself
HH users in IB just spammed spin2win because it shat out damage
Good job identifying one singular aspect of the weapon you non-horning shitter. Dishonest arguments won't work here.
>erm actually spin2win and superpound is better
Shit yourself
uhh you don't understand chud doing shit ass attacks so you can wave around a dildo for 5 centuries and get a buff that lasts less than it takes you to cum is SOUL
>Even after launch it'll be a full year to have Master Rank added
>That's only if they don't take the money for Sony exclusivity, adding another 6-12 months
Honestly this is the one series I wish they'd floor it on GaaS. Just stack new ranks and more monsters on top of the base game with expansions.
Gens CB was too stimulating for the average CB player, it could never stick
>silently?
tards loved world and made a big deal about how great it was to have a game built just for them and then rise came along and those same tards got even happier
>then rise came along and those same tards got even happier
LMAO what? Rise made those very people seethe nonstop.
Bro, there was a mobile game recently. The milking just slowed down a notch.
VOTE FOR YAMA TSUKAMI
it's so unrefined
why?
because it's older than you
why do discord trannies hate Capcom so much? the constant shazam trooning against DD2 and MH6 is insane
they hate everything but they hate themselves more than anything
MH6 will be announced next year after DD2 launches
Unless they're announcing a remaster at the Game Awards or something, there's no way they release two major games in Q1 of next year
guildmarm
Assuming it was a guaranteed feature for MH6, how would you fix clutch claw?
>Make wallbangs deal high part damage to the head/front parts of a monster, but temove the guaranteed knockdown, since it's way too much of a reward for something that's incredibly easy to pull off. It already works this way for Fatalis and it's totally fine, just make it standard
>Remove claggers since they frick up pacing, have people invest in exhaustion if they want free grapples
>Keep CC attacks but turn the damage bonus into a purely partbreak damage boost, and give CC a niche as a tool people can use to focus on parts they want to break or as a way to disrupt flying monsters instead of a mandatory tool that you're always incentivezed to go for because it's a straight up damage boost
Clutch Claw isnt the real problem though
The problem is the game was crit raw meta and balanced around WEX
Make it purely used as a flinch function that requires emptying your slinger ammo or have it help transition into monster mounting. Keep exchangeable skills and give each weapon unique clutch claw attacks, bring back the cool Lance clutch claw counter, give DB one that triggers during perfect evades that leads into Spiral Slash, allow SnS the option to turn falling bash into a clutch claw sword attack for bigger damage in exchange for the stagger from the shield, etc.
>how would you fix clutch claw?
remove it
>>Make wallbangs deal high part damage to the head/front parts of a monster, but temove the guaranteed knockdown
>To add to that topples should only occur when the monster is exhausted
>Assuming they bring back slinger ammo the effect of your slinger burst should be dependent on the ammo you use, so only certain types of ammo can inflict partbreak damage boost, others can deal straight damage or inflict blights etc.
I'd be happy with these changes but remove the slinger or at least don't tie flash bombs and sonic bombs into it
Just gimme Stories 3 already.
As long as it has my beloved Gunlance in it, I'm happy
hope we keep Blast Dash and Erupting Cannon, they make GL so much more fun
>try playing GL in world
>between the differences in shelling between the shell types, lack of blast dash, lack of EC, and lack of guard reload it's unfun
i get why you'd miss blast dash and EC but how are different shell types an issue? long is about charging shells all day, wide is about pokeshelling (and wyrmstake cannon since it actually hits like a freight train on a tenderized weakspot) and normal is about full burst so you have three different playstyles to dick around with
as far as i'm concerned the only real issue was that long gunlance was brain dead and trivialized a lot of fights in iceborne but other than that, compared to the weak heat gauge dogshit i had to deal with in GU it was a huge breath of fresh air
>but how are different shell types an issue? long is about charging shells all day, wide is about pokeshelling (and wyrmstake cannon since it actually hits like a freight train on a tenderized weakspot) and normal is about full burst so you have three different playstyles to dick around with
The problem is that those "play styles" all just boil down to picking out one move from the weapon's move pool and spamming that exclusively because everything else gets massive damage penalties
It'd be more interesting if the different playstyles actually had a fully distinct moveset and not just 1 buffed up move you spam at the expense of everything else
Every weapon ignores most of its moveset in favor of one or two moves, why is it a problem when GL does it?
>long is about charging shells all day
>normal is about full burst
These play"styles" suck dick
Full burst is kino and the heart of ROMAN
Repent.
and spamming blast dash the entire time doesn't?
>no because you see, sometimes i use reverse blast dash too
ok
I don't get why we even have these arguments when every MH weapon is boring 1 move spam.
that's exactly the point i'm trying to make
Honestly I kinda hope MH6 simplifies weapon movesets because 5th gen is full of bloat and shit you'll never realistically use.
I'm talking about how the damage of each shell type is in world vs rise.
Long in Rise is more balanced with the big boost being wyvernfire.
>Long in Rise
It's the same as the pre-world games
And i am directly comparing Rise Gunlance to World Gunlance.
For me it's Reverse blast dash

Reminder that palamutes are officially a series mainstay and will be in every game going forward
Like Prowler mode?
No, because they specifically SAID Palamutes will be coming back and are staples now. This is just truth.
Gimme a source pls
I forget but it was listed in a rundown of things they said either about RiseBreak or about 20th anniversary.
And just look at all the money and effort they spent designing the armor and weaponry. That's a HUGE investment as far as this series goes. They wanted them to become staples and since we liked them, they are.
where?
Never going to use either palicos or palamutes so I don't care
>He doesn't use palicos exclusively
pathetic
>laughs in prowlers
>laughs in shakalakas
they won't even leave followers because followers remove any reason to interact with most of this series playerbase
So long as they're no longer blue ninja dogs by default and look much more like a meaty hunting hound, I'm good with that.
Imagine being so much of a white woman that you care about a dog's appearance lmao
I don't mind, but I hope they remove them as combat companions and just remain as travel mounts.
>The franchise has been silently killed hasn't it?
No, they announced at TGS to look forward to their 20th anniversary during March of next year. Normally Capcom announces their games at TGS but for Monster Hunter they are clearly giving themselves extra time for the next big mainline game which will be announced in March.
Shut the frick up you zoomer c**t, not every IP needs to be handled like asscreed with yearly rushed releases.
world and rise literally make up their top two best selling products on their sales page lmao why would they kill it off
Japanese open world games take a while to make
I might dip back into Frontier again. I made it to Zenith but soloing the Supreme monsters almost broke me.
I miss this b***h like you wouldn’t believe
>Only way to get red extract is the face - Not the forearms
Fricking why Crapcom
because unless you're a moron and let them stay combined all the time getting extracts out of that slow ass piece of shit is a joke
plus since second bug is near always alive you can get extracts off it (or from any local shitmons)
Good luck hitting the horn with the 4U LR bug's 60 speed stat.
>J-Just pump speed bro
Then you ruin your glaive forever since you have to pump power to 96.
don't launch the bug from the other end of the map fricking idiot learn to get extracts in melee range
also marking exists
I really wish they'll be back in the next game, really fun and unique fight, and Seltas is a cool early game monster. I just hope we get more bugs in general too
>I just hope we get more bugs in general too.
100% this
I want Banbaro in every game going forward just for the armor
>i want a trashmon for the horrible armor when transmog exists
I dont give a frick about it's bad skills, that's what layered armor is for
I wanna be a freaking Viking GOD
>that's what layered armor is for
thanks for saying exactly what i said in my post
you don't need to waste a monster slot on trash for armor transmog to exist
You take that back

You say that yet they stripped down everything MS has in terms of mechanics and implemented it all over the series, wire bugs and aerial styles? MS did it first, cutting and impact damage on the same weapon? MS bro, multi directional evades with counters and I-frames? b***h this is all due to MS
no one fricking cares
all they should bring is the fake tigrex obsessed with eating and painted falls, rest can go into the trash where it belongs
>GL
just trash the shelling lvls and add elemental shells

Baby wyvern mounts
Why is everyone so obsessed with mounts and pets? What's wrong with the game just being about hunting monsters and not fishing minigames or companion management or some other bullshit?
worldsperm normalgays often play other normie shit like wow/ffxiv
If you are just going to use my thread to shitpost about world then frick off. You are the reason why anons say MH threads have gone to shit.
sorry the truth hurts you so much homosexual
nobody cared about normie shit while MH games filtered morons
Someday you will grow up and realize your shitflinging amounted to nothing. You will realize that correlation is not causation and there are a million other reasons for why you are mad in life.
I've been playing since 1st gen and I've absolutely heard ideas about steering the game into a generic direction from day 1.
uh... because the overarching story of Monster Hunter is the rapid adaptation of biotech that will inevitably lead to the collapse of civilization again and we're advancing towards it, duh?

when did discussion about this franchise get this bad?
26/01/2018
First near deathblow was dealt when trannies joined in the peak of 3DS hacking which also happened to be the peak of the worst MH game, and then w*rld came out and completely killed every chance for it to recover
World
When the console war homosexualry started, so since Tri at the earliest.
Honest answer is after World came out. The tribaby shitflinging was nothing in comparison to the garbage thread quality since World.
Like a lot of vidya discussions, consolewar homosexuals
When World came out for the PS4
>male hunter
>badass tokusatsu armor
>female hunter
>coombait
I can't choose...
Im a GS gay, I only hunt with GS unless I needed to break stuff instead of cutting parts, and still I managed to avoid that most of the time doing Barrel Bombing
it's female for me
Which male armor was the Gundam Armor? I believe it was included in MH4U
Seltas I think
I would be more partial to female armor if the helms weren't just "oversized wig that's a different color from the character's eyebrows" 99% of the time
How the frick can you play a game as a female? Even more so an online game where some people might take you for a female? You're closeted trannies there is no other way
>he doesn't have a male and fem hunter to enjoy both sets of designs
NGMI
>play female hunter in sexy provocative gear
>crank one out in-between hunts
that's how
based as frick. Edging between hard quests is coomkino. Just don't limit yourself to your fem hunters for material though.
Shit Yourself
no u
in fact, I'll crank one out to the monsters too!
Grotesque artstyle anon.
skill issue
because before world/rise (and GU) we didnt have layered armor and clownsuits/mixed sets tend to look alot better on females than males, this is an objective fact.
i just want qurupeco back
i miss him
>people keep blaming world/rise for mounts
4 invented mounting
Hoping they bring back prowler mode, even if it's just for local co-op.
Probably being worked on
Do you think monsters will ever actually feel threatening again?
World and Rise were just depressing.
>Do you think monsters will ever actually feel threatening again?
mind wipe your brain or they go back and not add any gimmicks shit
That said what Fatty are you talking about, classic White event can give you a run for your money but normal versions of Fatty are extremely easy especially the world one where it's just a matter of a dps check.
>normal versions of Fatty are extremely easy especially the world one where it's just a matter of a dps check.
post proofs of your solo
>bunch of casuals getting filtered by story boss
>thinking this is exclusive to World
>story boss
you didnt play the game
It was the final boss of the main game anon, aka a story boss.
Say that again fricker and see what happens
Sara was boring too come to think of it. I didn't even bother refighting him when I bought the game on PC.
Replaying world can't believe this boss is just reusing the valstrax skeleton .....
wait till you find out about the kushala skeleton
I feel like most of these people were either undergeared or using terrible weapons, endgame fights in most MH games tend to vary significantly in difficulty depending on which weapon you're using
is this a joke? fatalis is the easyiest fight in iceborne you moron homosexual
>ZSD rocksteady baby
kek
To be fair to that anon, tools are what makes a game easy.
World just happens to have the most broken ones in any MH game.
The health recovery augment is what makes shit broken, without it rocksteady ZSD spamming fatty wouldn't be viable
cope harder SWAXE king world!!!!
The event bosses in World are probably the hardest the game has ever been.
In fact speaking of Garuga let's compare it to FU and World on this particular point
>damage multipliers on rage modes
In FU when it was in rage it got a 1.5 multiplier to attack. Sounds substantial right? But nothing else saw an increase, same speed and same defense.
Basically it was the same monster that did a little bit more damage.
In world it gets a 1.2 boost to damage but it also gets a 1.1 boost to defense and speed not to mention it was already hitting harder as it is.
Of course world isn't the best example because again, ass tier tracking, but in that regard it was buffed.
You just gotten better
Do you think CB will ever have an actual identity?
I really want a giant boomerang weapon, but not the one from the concept art. I want it to be similar to the way the girl from Inuyasha uses/holds it. Having a combination melee and range weapon would be amazing.
Boomerangs are Pallicoes and Shakas only, same with Bombs
Just ask for magnet spike back in.
No, I want a slow meaty weapon. Not whatever the frick that thing is.
Shut up Shovel face
The frick you talking about, key quest highlights has being a thing since Tri, and IIRC started with FU if you actually read the descriptions before selecting a quest
Give me some examples because it was never easy in FU and before IIRC. Can't remember when key quests started but it wasn't always there.
Dude FU is easy as frick. I took my Worldbab friend through it and we were using High Rank armor through most of G-Rank because we were too lazy to grind.
Read motherfricker. Your post has nothing to do with that post.
He's in
>no AT Shara
>no hazard Gorm
God I wish. We will never get these weapons or armour again.
My favorite kill cam ever.
I'm still bummed that COVID fricked us out of AT Shara and AT Ruiner Nerg, Shara needs a fight where she doesn't crumple like wet tissue paper
I wish, that music still lives in my head rent free.
I hope MH6 has move variety again like in Rise and Generations. I usually picked a few I liked and stuck with them, but having another option to tinker with and experiment around is super fun.
>has move variety again like in Rise and Generations
>Like in Rise and Generations
yes?
that's what he said
BRING BACK SHAKALAKAS!!!
I need to keep up with my lil bros Cha-Cha and Kayamba
I'm so glad Rise is over.
Just keep metsu shoryugeki for SnS, hell just leave the moveset for SnS unchanged entirely
I don't care what else happens in MH6
*Filters Shitters*
Which MH game should I try if I didn't like World or Rise?
World's "living world" gimmicks felt too shallow and more like a marketing point while Rise combat was too buttonmashy, and both games had terrible pacing just rushing you from one piss easy fight to the next with no highs or lows
I would enjoy a little more downtime and preparation between fights and having to plan more for each individual monster so the fights are actually meaningful, do any of the older games provide that?
world and rise got rid of the very thing you're asking for, that's one of the big issues people have with 5th gen
Try gardening
Pretty much all of the older games have that to varying degrees. Start with MHFU and work your way through all the ultimates: 3U, 4U and GU.
I miss cooking rations with your bros before any hunt...
I don't frick that shit
God I want Grammeowster to fill my stomach with her delicious hot food all night long
Why is there so much porn of her out there?
GILF energy
GRANDMA
I'm playing solo rise. What followers are the best?
So far I'm using two HH (ninja and twin). Is there a better combo?
Dual HH twins is the most fun
>good
Any of the ones with a HH, that’s the only thing that matters. But who cares, use the ones you like until you’re on 250 anomalies, and then KEEP using the ones you like anyways
>mh6 will be something New
Thank GOD
worldbabies on suicide watch
I love khezu for filtering that shitter
>a single year post the last expansion
>get this shitposting
I know it's bait but god I hate shitposting from spoiltgays
Preeeety sure we are getting MH XXX for the 20th anniversary, you'll see
>MH XXX
uhhh anon?
Disgusting, post the REAL Kulve next time
are you some kind of degen
Need my diseaseboi back
>vaal
sure why not
>blackveil
nope
Literally the worst fricking monster in the series.
The first time they put out Kulve was the peak of enjoyment for me in this series. I hope the next game can recreate it for me
>4 LBG or get kicked
"Raids" just do not work in MH
Soloing MR Kulve was fun as frick. I love monsters with a final phase where everything is chaotic.
Glad I'm not the only one that feels this way! Kulve Taroth was peak MH
replaying 4U and im realizing that this really is the hardest monhun, jesus christ. late low rank feels like its on par with worlds master rank
also
>pink rathian
HOLY FRICK I DONT REMEMBER THIS c**t BEING THIS HARD
>this really is the hardest monhun
Which weapon?
GS, CB, hammer, DB and IG. the strongest ones pretty much except hammer kek. not because theyre the strongest but because they just so happen to be my favorite weapons in 4th gen, insect glaive in general has remained one of my favorite weapons since 4U despite it never being as strong ever again
They just put out a big 20th anniversary poll 2 days ago
https://www.monsterhunter.com/20th/en/vote-monster/
Vote Black folk, vote for lagiacrus
Honest thoughts on this bad boy?
One of the good huge monster fights
Compared to Dalamadur or Gogmazios though?
>Dalamadur
Gog sure, but Dala? I think it’s been a while since you’ve done that hunt.
Dala is fun. I needed to grind something for my weapon and I had to min-max that fight to be as efficient as possible. It's the closest I've got to speedrunning and influencing things to fall your way feels really good.
>min maxing for Dala
You mean Shah right?
Right?
this dude is cool as frick
we need more cool as frick monsters
Looks dumb
Honestly one of the better main story final bosses.
Good as a story/final boss monster
Is a b***h otherwise
A bit forgettable.
bad fight but cool that there is an underground ecology in MonHun, hope we eventually just go Hollow Earth
MH6 will most likely be announced at the games award or in march + other capcom games
AND
WE WILL GET A DRAGON DOGMA 2 COLLAB
better believe it
I want MH6 to get rid of WEX and to tune down all sources of affinity that's not innate to the weapon
Also get rid of health (regen) augments and force people to actually care about getting hit
Rise did all these things. That's why rise is better than world.
Post the hunter gif
Capcom posted this by the way.
Kind of a lame reward for voting tbh. I would've loved original artwork.
Same here. Hell, just do one each for the flagships and you're done.
Have some brand new Lao artwork from the contest.
>constant state of panic
I kind of hurt my soul the wallpaper reward was a mobile one, but then somebody mentioned in another thread PC users are all using something like wallpaper engine anyway, I am myself even not gonna downgrade to a static image
i'm gonna go see what wallpaper engine has for monster hunter
>oh it's all porn
>realize I have it set to not show safe images
>it still ends up mostly porn
I ended up going with this one it's pretty cool

Capcom, I swear to god, if I am not holding MH6 in my hands come March...
The march release is Dragon's Dogma
You wont do shit, obese ytboi homosexual
Honestly, I don't mind them taking their time. I don't want another shitty rushed world situation again.
I stopped caring about game anniversaries a long time ago. It's usually just a PR opportunity as game releases never line up with them.
I really think it was a dumb decision to hold off several months after the anniversary to finally announce English and PC EDF6. even if it meant a bigger wait from announce to release people were really hoping for it

Just ignore Eric, the threads improve significantly when you do.
oh no no no
>schizo raid hours
MH6 better have tiddy and ass physics
>implying

I hope they don't go full israelite on mods yet

And that's a good thing.
I love Chichae

Reminder that Supy is female
I now have a sec for Supy.
You have anything to back that claim?
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Calico_cat
WE will get news after DD2. Let them cook. You don't need a new monhun every year
>You don't need a new monhun every year
But we haven't had a new Monhun since 2019.
MH Now is unironically better than both World and Rise
now if only it had a playerbase outside of japan
The more I play Rise, the more I prefer it over World. Make Rise 2, Capcom.
Wyverian sisterwives.
just Hinoa, Minoto can watch
No, both at the same time.
It's the only way.
Poopbreak flopped so hard that they're making mh6 PS5 exclusive
Now is more of a monster hunter than rice/poopbreak is. The playstation portal version is gonna kick ass.
It's incredible how the entire western MH content creation sphere managed to launch a collective smear campaign against Rise that irreversibly destroyed the game's reputation up to and including youtubers leaking review copies to dataminers so they could dump all the assets before the game even released
>Giving a shit about youtubers
Almost every monhun youtuber is either a whiny b***h or a moron.
>game is bad
>this is somehow the fault of people pointing out it's bad
>and not on nintendo for forcing them to make a bad game
>>game is bad
Sorry, the shovelware is bad. Rice isn't a game after all. Thank you for the correction.
Yo the Sunbreak DLC being datamined sucked major ass. You already knew ahead of time they weren't introducing any monsters new to the series.
>they weren't introducing any monsters new to the series.
Forgot about Amatsu but not new to the series.
*namielle was obvious filler
FTFY
Namielle was robbed. Ryozo you hack, why did the arena go pitch black in the cutscene and quest description, but not the FIGHT
>some of its weapons have nice designs with the RGB dragon/Jellyfish theme
>some of theme are just its design slapped on previous weapons
>has no other upgrades
MH6 is gonna be revealed at TGA, pretty clear rn
>announcing the game at the anniversary in March would steal a, lot of attention and coverage from DD2
>DD2 presentation set on 28th, having the spotlight before TGA
>MH Now receiving the first major update on the same day of TGA, almost like they want to benefit for an announcement made that day
>also last fiscal report indicated an increase in sales for World and Rise in January-March
They gonna reveal it at TGA, the market DD2 until March, and from April to Fall is gonna be all about MH6
>smug pic
You jinxed it
Sunbreak PC room doko?
Why do the graphics look worse than a PS2 game?
Because the Switch is less powerful than a PS2
God, what I'd give for Capcom to put out a High-res texture pack for Risebreak on consoles/PC
What I'd give for them to put out a game as good as world
>bring back Bloodbath Blos in spirit
>it whiffs every single attack
>Riceborne didn't fix shit despite G rank Apexes eventually being a thing
Yomogi's english voice is the equivalent of gargling broken glass through your ears
But who the frick plays MH in english? They didn't even bother dubbing the Dango song.
JP is already pushing it despite the high quality voice actors, but those same voice actors also do the MH language option.
So you get top tier Asumi Kana in both JP and MH language.
>But who the frick plays MH in english?
I was playing base rise co-op with a friend and ended up hearing her every time he walked by her. It was terrible.
Fake language is the way to go in any MH games.
>MonHun in English
I’m gonna be sick. Even Stories 2 in JP is pushing it, but the game has enough heart for me to forgive it
Stories 2 in JP is worth it for Gintoki Reverto alone
Asumin's voice is what makes Yomogi tbh.
Honestly just want my totally-not-world-2 with underwater and dark caves and I'm gonna be happy
>underwater
>dark caves
fricking lame as shit
Same, and give us good monster roster.
Ummmm where's the dango
https://twitter.com/monsterhunter/status/1727779144262439068
Mogi got mogged.
Poopbreak flopped
Why did they nominate World, a 2018 game, for the Steam Awards when Rise got its final grand update this year?
https://twitter.com/monsterhunter/status/1727039505121595685
Because they threw out an update for deck support which broke a bunch of mods in the process.
Caught in 4K.
Why is world zinogre so much better?
Poopbreak flopped
I started with 4U, played a shit ton of World, tried Rise and thought it genuinely just sucked
This, but 4u sucked.
World is unironically the only good monster hunter game. I'm glad mh6/world 2 is confirmed to be PS5 exlcusive so it's actually being built for hardware that isn't over 2 decades out of date.
How come everytime theres a monster hunter thread its filled with mh6 doomposters and trannies crying about rise
Pretty sure it's 2-3 no life gays. They either dedicate their time to /mhg/ or Ganker threads making the same jokes about poopbreak or worldsperm while the rest of us are trying to discuss the franchise we genuinely love.
I havent looked at mhg since my old pc died last month
Because trannies are just delusional rich white boys that wanted an excuse to play victim
He gets riled up on Thursdays because people posts those Famitsu threads.
>He?
You’ll see. Or you could better your life and be anywhere else.
Tri and World. ALL that matters.
>tendieshit
no
No heavy bowgun no buy
>Nominates MHW on Steam Awards
>MHW gets verified for Steam Deck out of nowhere
>Capcom expects to start selling lot of copies World and Iceborne again in the first 3 months of 2024
>MH Now gets an update with a whole new bunch of World content exactly the day of TGA
Oh frick off, writing is on the wall right now
See ya in two weeks
Monster Hunter Underworld when?
>monster hunter rise sold more than resident evil 8
>Doomposters still saying it flopped
Honestly both sides are moronic
>Rise sold like 13m copies and was the best selling 3rd party on Switch by a wide margin, but somehow it flopped
>World sold even more and PS5/Xbox/PC have ofc a massively bigger installed base than Switch 2 at release, but Capcom will totally MH6 focus on Nintendo like Rise
False
i wish the next one ignores nintendo platform again.
I can't wait for MH6 to try and force ray tracing gimmicks so it'll run at 20 fps on PS5 and need a 4090 to play on PC
good thing im ready since the switch hardware+rise/sunbreak demo on switch is so fricking garbage i had to build a pc.
What do you guys think about GU?
minoto wife
It's funny how hard Rise bombed and how they're back to supporting World.
>Now for certain it was planned for World from a 100% correct leak that predicted all the update monsters
>got cut along with Alatreon
>Alatreon, however, got added to Iceborne
>Oroshi is still MiA
So what happened?
Everyone asked for Alatreon
Nobody asked for Oroshi
Simple as
>outsells every single game in company history except for one other game in the same series
Can anyone explain what makes either of the 2 top-selling games in company history a flop?
Its not on the platform I play on so therefore they’re dogshit
Reminder
Rise is shit
So the top pic describes you perfectly then?
i know FU is the goat MH for real OGs like myself but why did it start there
First worthwhile monhun
>inb4 20 hour dos essay
Dos poster has been quiet lately, bless him
It's when Ryozo joined
The Tsuyoshi Tanaka era of MH was basically a different franchise
Because FU is a pretty comprehensive collection of all the games before it, and unless you're a masochist or just really interested in shit like the other villages or the yama tsukami chase phase there's not much reason to go any further back
accurate
World good
Rise bad
>the shitposter is back
Well at least it was a decent thread
See you guys in the next one
>Doesn't have an actual argument as to why Rise is good, and just throws a tantrum when people say it's shit
In that anon's defense, you've never formed your own argument for why Rise is apparently so bad.
What is your argument, anon?
NTA but I hate that they butchered the Hunting horn.
Actual criticism
Flaming moron
And that alone makes it an inherently bad game?
Rise is fricking dogshit
>still no argument
RISE RULES WORLD DROOLS!!!!
That’s nice, but I want Brave GS back
Or bring back pre-World GS in general
rise is fricking cool
>average world weapon
>Worldbaby: OMG ITS AMAZING
kek
Sour grapes is the only reason why tendies hate World, so they had to convince themselves that Rise was the best MH of all time
Target cam is lame and gay and made you weak as a human being.
Real men used the CLAW, hand is completely messed up now. I just jut out my claw attuned hand now... it scares the childrens. They are like are you a war veteran im like no i had a 3ds
I did the top right, since it was also the closest thing to the PSP Claw, so my hand was already used to it.
bro how the frick did i do these for thousands of hours on FU without developing carpal tunnel
