Rathalos comes in two flavours, Red and Blue Raspberry (actually red with food colouring). Silver Rathalos is just Red drained of it's flavour.
This what happens to captured monsters. Researchers do experiments on them, in this case forcing a Rathalos to drink Monster Energy Zero Sugar Ultra Blue for a month.

It's hard to beat being 90 raw over Narga out of the box. RF Up is 20%, and this thing's base raw is 31% higher + more damaging ammo. It also gets a 3-slot rampage deco, so that's another 5% damage if you want to bother swapping them per monster, or just going weak Daora Soul to nullify the negative 15% affinity.
At the end-game Narga probably even gets beaten by Malzeno and Shagaru's LBGs if you don't use slicing, and if you do you should probably be using a different gun anyway.

I'm using that Kinsect that makes a cloud which gives you all 3 extracts when you hit enough, but I'm barely getting said cloud in my hunts. Is there a way to make this more common? The Kinsect doesn't seem that worth it compared to the dual kind because of that, even just for spamming Awakened silkbind.
The cloud drops only on hits that use the Kinsect, so if you use the unsheathe/downward slash to approach and combo into Tetraseal Slash during openings you'll get more than enough. Kinsect Slash and any other Wirebug skills that use the bug to smack also potentially spawn a cloud in the sky you can jump into.
Basically, spam bug = more spam bug.
Insect Glaive feels weak, powder setup is too gimmicky and doesn't really work on anything that moves too much and Wyvern dive doesn't do enough damage for how much effort it takes to land a high damage one.
It turns out that when your primary strength is high mobility and consistent access to aerial attacks, you suffer quite a bit when the core mechanic of the game is giving those tools to every weapon. Why constantly juggle extracts and track your kinsect when you can just as easily flip into the air with greatsword for triple-digit swings

I had to wait 30-45 seconds because the snotdinosaur kept spamming his charge attack and had to basically smack him for .5-1 second on his side then chase him to get another .5-1 second window because, for some inane reason, he does a kick so front and back are no-go zones. I fricking hate Rise for this shit - they gave so many monsters these AoE moves and multihit attacks because they made hunters so fricking moronicly strong and the monsters are STILL weak as frick because of all of the tools monsters have except they're also now significantly more annoying.
I am a veteran crab killer since Freedom 2. I literally ate the red and blue bois all day on launch and wore their shells for old times' sake. God I fricking love killing those crabs.
Get Focus and Courage hits go instantly to max charge after the first one. You can dodge right as you start charging and you retain the combo level like Brave hammer in GU.
Nargacuga's weapon is actually shit this time around because it only has lvl1 slot for rampage decos which means you can't get the massive damage boost from slotting in the anti monster type decos.
Anon the difference between weapons at the top has always been around that much. Narga was less than that much better than say Tigrex for example in base Rise. 5% is a lot.

Yeah I switched over SS after watching the team Darkside video about the LS today or yesterday. Harvest Moon is stupid and the name is gay. Sacred sheathe gave me GU vibes probably intentionally and yeah it's kinda high risk/reward, but the charge cost by just spamming SS is reduced from having to counter.
I failed MR 30 all mother 3 times last night using respond request. they carted, sure, but I carted too. are the phases harder or something or do I just suck?
There are more dragonators in that one move, it hits harder and the big screen nuke after the dragonators you have to block an energy wave. Also I think it shits out more lightning for a LOT of moves, it's a really different fight.
You can block on the mini gun. After the dragonator phase miniguns appear and you get an opportunity to shoot him while he charges up his move that hits the floor of the entire room. In the HR version there are also rings that emanate to hit the cannons so you have to use the cannon block command.
I played hammer throughout all of rise twice and sunbreak and wanted to try something new. For SnS, do you want elemental or raw? The shield smash/drill combo is pretty cool
drill is insanely broken with any elemental. I feel like for TA runs it's going to be shield bash > stun > swap to drill and just spam drill unless the mob has alot of easily accessible weak spots than potentially drill the entire fight.
And the reason he's so great is because he isn't easy unlike Gaismagorn who is a fantastic fight from a spectacle perspective but too much of a pushover to be anything too great.

presentation and design yes, the fight is one of the worst. First phase is the biggest snoozefest and at the end you get cucked by Nailclippergante.
Gaismagorm isn't much better, I enjoyed all the new monsters, I can't believe they made such a wacky final boss, not making any use of wirebugs, dogs, follower, hunting installations, not even a unique blight/status.
Not even going to defend the old elder fights Amatsu, Akantor, Ukanlos, 4U Fatty etc. were mediocre at its best.

But he uses all of this? Wirebugs are necessary for surviving the AOE attacks when you're attacking the front instead of hiding at his tail, dogs are used for escaping the tard rage attacks, followers are there as well doing follower stuff and Hunting Installations are constantly appearing.

Amatsu had random hunting installations, Velkhana had that very lively Seliana Cache area. They could have used spots where you can set up rampage installlations, use a staircase map design where you can freely move and follow after Gaismagorm, after you failed to shoot him down.

You can do stuff like jump the first damaging part of the ground explosions that usually frick lance/GL up by staggering them, also I would consider the mobility to be different here than in a regular fight. You're expending bugs to keep up with his size which temporarily locks wirebug attacks, it's a slight give and take if nothing else.

Nah you didn't, but the minigun part is more interactive then silkbinds and just having a ballista no one uses. Gogmazios is still the best use of installations by far, but it's not fair to compare others to the dopamine rush of firing that giant fricking mortar at him.

They probably would have if the entire fanbase didn't scream at them to delete Rampage entirely instead of actually fixing the major problems with it.
I am not saying he did these things well by the way, but they are worked into his fight if you'd like to use them. He's a very fun fight on the first encounter and keeps you on your toes with all his changes, while being a huge visual spectacle and experience. After you learn him he's completely manageable of course, but I think he's fine as a reward fight.
They can always touch him up like they did with Allmother.

The damage doesn't matter, 12 damage is a lot for the health the orbs have. If everybody shoots a different one while he's climbing I can see it being pretty consistent and easy to break them all, but that would require players working with each other and that's too advanced for 99.9% of MH players. Most shots just miss their mark or hit the same spot, which you can see because artillery damage is shown to all players.

I don't think you can do it solo, or at least you've got to be on them and firing immediately. I managed to get all but the last done, but never managed to topple him alone and I haven't fought him with other players yet.
A friend of mine had his save file corrupted and caught up within 2 days.
If you just use defender gear and only do key quests, it doesn't take long. But you will want to go back and do some requests afterwards anyways to unlock stuff
Why did they have to take diving wyvern from iceborne and cut the horizontal momentum, follow up attack, and make it cost a bug.
Also what's with the IG triangle silkbind attacks just being boring repositioning tools on a weapon that already can reposition.
After how fricking awful Behemoth and Leshen were I never want to see another crossover monster ever again. Stick to the themed event quests and equipment.

The big downside of it is that you don't get the mobility of the guard dash into lunging poke loop. Shield charge can kinda fill in this roll but it sucks up stamina. Wirebug skills are also ok for this. Still need to figure out how Skyward Thrust compares to Spiral. I just use it because lance deserves a cool looking attack for once.

Holy frick that Apex Azuros urgent quest was awful. Maybe it's just my shit gear or I just suck but every single attack was like a massive AOE bomb and it swiped my wirebug evades for a free second hit. First fight in the game to make me need to try the quest a second time. 30 minutes of tower defense and a tough as nails boss fight. I must be doing something wrong because I don't even remember the last time a fricking G Rank quest made me sweat that hard, much less a High Rank one. Got through it by the skin of my teeth. Jesus Christ.

Is anyone else getting a problem where people join extremely late when you use SOS? I'll enable SOS for a hunt, take a while because it's a multi-monster hunt, then when I'm on the last monster all of the sudden 3 other players will join.
Sometimes that happens. Sometimes I get people join right away. All depends on how many people are hosting the SOS vs people joining SOS. I'm hoping for the next game, the SOS feature gets automated where you join and fresh quest if able, else you start a new one.
What's the best way to get decent talismans in sunbreak? I didn't really frick with endgame on switch and I moved over to PC when sunbreak came out so I have jack shit.
As a lance main that fell out of love with the weapon in World and fricking hated every single thing about it in Rise, I gotta say, Shield Tackle is fun as FRICK. I'm seriously considering running it as my second weapon in Sunbreak.
I mained it in World, but I didn't like the Iceborne additions for it with the clutch claw, and had more fun with other weapons. Also the constant chipping damage from everything was annoying as frick.
The issue for me with lance is that 80% of the skills you get for it have to be defensive or else it blows to play. In terms of moveset, it was the best at its time though.

Bow feels exactly the same so far but I've yet to unlock the new silkbind move. Also early MR gear sucks balls, I had to resort to a full Kadachi set + Bow for the early game.
Pick up account items on hunts. You can use sniff em out to track all of them on the map and just pick a few up. Optional sidequests from the quest givers give you a nice amount too and sometimes there are account item ones.

The DLC Dance and Rock remixes should have been used for the later rematches and event quests against these monsters. What a fricking waste to just have hub music selection DLC and not be able to change battle music.

I'm a 4U bab and I remember him brapping everytime he does his beam spam so you can't punish him at all if you're melee which is where the majority of the animosity towards B. Gravios comes from, he's easy as frick as a gunner.

Shield weapons have zero issues fighting anything because they have a shield, Lance and Gunlance are the second and third easiest weapons to use behind Gunner stuff.
Shields are inferior to the naruto levels of dodging and countering and mobility other weapons have because they also do more damage and do said damage faster

That has to do with monster hunter devs being abysmal at balancing videogames and nothing to do with shield gameplay. Shields do what they have pretty much always done and what they do is perfectly compatible with the monsters in Rise, they still make you invincible and allow you to ignore most of a monster's moveset.

By that logic there's zero point to any weapon that isn't LBG.
You're ignoring the point here. Lance and GL have mobility now and both have counters, that isn't a factor anymore. The reason to play shield weapons is because you enjoy playing them. If you only want the best DPS then just play LBG which is legitimately completely impossible to cart with and deals the highest DPS at the same time, but you probably don't because you enjoy a specific moveset.

Bullet Barrage makes it so you have to play Normal shelling to do equivalent amounts of damage and that's shit.

SnS and IG seem to um.. technical for me. Ironic since CB has like 1000 buttons to press. I played it for the first 75% of Iceborne, but that was a long time ago, so I don't remember much other than charging my shield and charging my sword.
CB isnt that complicated, takes a few hunts to figure out the flowchart.
literally all you have to do is learn the AED or SAED shortcuts. Load shells 2 gives you all 5 phials after just a dash/slide attack and a fully charged charge slash. morphing advance and evade window are crucial to using that garbage ass savage axe iteration in rise. you could block or guard point into an AED or SAED but its not very effective in master rank since monsters will almost certainly hit you during the wind up. its all up to your discretion if it will work or not.

man, afflicted quests blow dicks. do i have to do one for every monster? the content reuse in rise is worse than elden ring.
Each rank has 2 different afflicted drops, so find the ones you hate the least.
But I really don't find afflicted quests as bad as other people are making them out to be. Shitmons have more damage and hp, but you're in end game gear now. And while you are rewarded for popping the pimples, you can always ignore them, dodge out of the explosion, then get back to hunting.

I just want to 100% use pudding and nothing else because I hate dumping mats that could be used for crafting things into melding. Especially since melding is so obnoxiously expensive that you'll struggle to even maintain it every hunt never mind any more than that.
I can kind of get that they've lowballed everything just so they've got room to scale things up in TU. I think they were honestly a bit TOO generous with skills in base Rise so there isn't as much room to improve as say base World to eventually Fatalis.

Espinas has been the "Rathalos" of Frontier since his debut, so he's going to be simple given the entirety until Frontier Z is just Gen 2 on crack.
Earlier monsters until around maybe Season 5 could be suitable for mainline, likely using its Flagship as a testing ground for fittingness and player feedback before seeing how far they can go.
Because Espinas was the first monster that was completely original to Frontier and so came before the designs diverged into insanely ugly monstrosities and the fights became total clusterfricks.
Depending on who you ask hammer seems either the shittiest weapon or the best. I've just arrived in high rank and to be honest I still think timings are too thight for certain monsters and elemental/status seem useless but it feels great to bonk hard headed monsters
People who absolutely love the hammer say it's the best just because they think it's fun. Everyone else will say it's one of the worst, if not the worst. As far as I know elemental/status is actually not useless now with courage mode buffs and the charge skill but it still seems to be at the bottom of every tier list.
All the underages and fat shut ins here will start reeeeiing when I say this, but it's the truth.
If you want to experience the old guard MH games, just get and play GU. If you don't have a Switch, emulate it on Citra.
If you play GU you're going to experience a lot of the old maps, almost all of the monsters, and yes, even the broken hit boxes, dropped inputs, pixelated visuals... the whole lot.

World and Rise are MASSIVE improvements to the franchise. Without them, the game would have died years ago. For the first time, MH really feels good with SB. I'm not getting filtered by 1 star MR monsters while wearing the highest level HR gear (as was the case with 3U on). Capcom really did a GREAT job with the transition from HR to MR this time.
You see, in the past, the transition from LR to HR was pretty smooth and you could grind your way to getting powerful enough to make that transition. But, the jump from HR to G rank was fricking moronic. The monsters went from 0 to 1000. It was ridiculous.
In SB there is a smooth transition. I'm glad Capcom made that adjustment. You could even argue it might have been a little too smooth, as you can almost wear your HR gear all the way through MR. That's a different discussion though.

I completely agree with you anon. I've been playing since MH on PS2. Remember going into the store and buying it just cause Rathalos looked cool on the cover. While there are things I miss about the older games, at the end of the day it mainly comes down to missing monsters. Which can always be rectified in future titles or updates. I have complaints about each and every game in the series, but I still love them, and I don't particularly hold one over another beyond just liking the monsters more. While I think it can be fun to go back to older titles even before GU, I agree in the idea of GU being the perfect way to experience the old and getting the best of both worlds sorta deal.

The latter. Unironically just blitz through Urgents until you beat the final boss, MAYBE stopping for either new dango quests or wanting to grind for a couple armor pieces before you get there.

It's hard to beat being 90 raw over Narga out of the box. RF Up is 20%, and this thing's base raw is 31% higher + more damaging ammo. It also gets a 3-slot rampage deco, so that's another 5% damage if you want to bother swapping them per monster, or just going weak Daora Soul to nullify the negative 15% affinity.
At the end-game Narga probably even gets beaten by Malzeno and Shagaru's LBGs if you don't use slicing, and if you do you should probably be using a different gun anyway.

I'm using that Kinsect that makes a cloud which gives you all 3 extracts when you hit enough, but I'm barely getting said cloud in my hunts. Is there a way to make this more common? The Kinsect doesn't seem that worth it compared to the dual kind because of that, even just for spamming Awakened silkbind.
The cloud drops only on hits that use the Kinsect, so if you use the unsheathe/downward slash to approach and combo into Tetraseal Slash during openings you'll get more than enough. Kinsect Slash and any other Wirebug skills that use the bug to smack also potentially spawn a cloud in the sky you can jump into.
Basically, spam bug = more spam bug.

Insect Glaive feels weak, powder setup is too gimmicky and doesn't really work on anything that moves too much and Wyvern dive doesn't do enough damage for how much effort it takes to land a high damage one.
It turns out that when your primary strength is high mobility and consistent access to aerial attacks, you suffer quite a bit when the core mechanic of the game is giving those tools to every weapon. Why constantly juggle extracts and track your kinsect when you can just as easily flip into the air with greatsword for triple-digit swings

I fricking hate Rise for this shit - they gave so many monsters these AoE moves and multihit attacks because they made hunters so fricking moronicly strong and the monsters are STILL weak as frick because of all of the tools monsters have except they're also now significantly more annoying.

Get Focus and Courage hits go instantly to max charge after the first one. You can dodge right as you start charging and you retain the combo level like Brave hammer in GU.

Yeah I switched over SS after watching the team Darkside video about the LS today or yesterday. Harvest Moon is stupid and the name is gay. Sacred sheathe gave me GU vibes probably intentionally and yeah it's kinda high risk/reward, but the charge cost by just spamming SS is reduced from having to counter.

There are more dragonators in that one move, it hits harder and the big screen nuke after the dragonators you have to block an energy wave. Also I think it shits out more lightning for a LOT of moves, it's a really different fight.
How the frick do I block with a Switch Axe?
You can block on the mini gun. After the dragonator phase miniguns appear and you get an opportunity to shoot him while he charges up his move that hits the floor of the entire room. In the HR version there are also rings that emanate to hit the cannons so you have to use the cannon block command.

drill is insanely broken with any elemental. I feel like for TA runs it's going to be shield bash > stun > swap to drill and just spam drill unless the mob has alot of easily accessible weak spots than potentially drill the entire fight.

Gaismagorm isn't much better, I enjoyed all the new monsters, I can't believe they made such a wacky final boss, not making any use of wirebugs, dogs, follower, hunting installations, not even a unique blight/status.
Not even going to defend the old elder fights Amatsu, Akantor, Ukanlos, 4U Fatty etc. were mediocre at its best.

But he uses all of this? Wirebugs are necessary for surviving the AOE attacks when you're attacking the front instead of hiding at his tail, dogs are used for escaping the tard rage attacks, followers are there as well doing follower stuff and Hunting Installations are constantly appearing.

Amatsu had random hunting installations, Velkhana had that very lively Seliana Cache area. They could have used spots where you can set up rampage installlations, use a staircase map design where you can freely move and follow after Gaismagorm, after you failed to shoot him down.

You can do stuff like jump the first damaging part of the ground explosions that usually frick lance/GL up by staggering them, also I would consider the mobility to be different here than in a regular fight. You're expending bugs to keep up with his size which temporarily locks wirebug attacks, it's a slight give and take if nothing else.

Nah you didn't, but the minigun part is more interactive then silkbinds and just having a ballista no one uses. Gogmazios is still the best use of installations by far, but it's not fair to compare others to the dopamine rush of firing that giant fricking mortar at him.

They probably would have if the entire fanbase didn't scream at them to delete Rampage entirely instead of actually fixing the major problems with it.
I am not saying he did these things well by the way, but they are worked into his fight if you'd like to use them. He's a very fun fight on the first encounter and keeps you on your toes with all his changes, while being a huge visual spectacle and experience. After you learn him he's completely manageable of course, but I think he's fine as a reward fight.
They can always touch him up like they did with Allmother.

I know that, I can get 2 at most because aiming is shit and they only do 12 damage per tick to them.
The damage doesn't matter, 12 damage is a lot for the health the orbs have. If everybody shoots a different one while he's climbing I can see it being pretty consistent and easy to break them all, but that would require players working with each other and that's too advanced for 99.9% of MH players. Most shots just miss their mark or hit the same spot, which you can see because artillery damage is shown to all players.

Maybe it's just my shit gear or I just suck but every single attack was like a massive AOE bomb and it swiped my wirebug evades for a free second hit. First fight in the game to make me need to try the quest a second time. 30 minutes of tower defense and a tough as nails boss fight. I must be doing something wrong because I don't even remember the last time a fricking G Rank quest made me sweat that hard, much less a High Rank one. Got through it by the skin of my teeth. Is anyone else getting a problem where people join extremely late when you use SOS? I'll enable SOS for a hunt, take a while because it's a multi-monster hunt, then when I'm on the last monster all of the sudden 3 other players will join.
Sometimes that happens. Sometimes I get people join right away. All depends on how many people are hosting the SOS vs people joining SOS. I'm hoping for the next game, the SOS feature gets automated where you join and fresh quest if able, else you start a new one.

world/ib had the best lance iteration this series has seen yet
I mained it in World, but I didn't like the Iceborne additions for it with the clutch claw, and had more fun with other weapons. Also the constant chipping damage from everything was annoying as frick.
The issue for me with lance is that 80% of the skills you get for it have to be defensive or else it blows to play. In terms of moveset, it was the best at its time though.

Pick up account items on hunts. You can use sniff em out to track all of them on the map and just pick a few up. Optional sidequests from the quest givers give you a nice amount too and sometimes there are account item ones.

I remember gen 1 gravios being fricking unberable to fight. black gravios was actually easier because you could at least safely hit it on the wings while it's spamming the beam attack.
I'm a 4U bab and I remember him brapping everytime he does his beam spam so you can't punish him at all if you're melee which is where the majority of the animosity towards B. Gravios comes from, he's easy as frick as a gunner.
I absolutely despised gravios just like everyone else but when I discovered how vulnerable he is to DB, I enjoyed brutally slashing him to death.

They really should have just removed the shield weapons, they're so fricked this game anyway.
Shield weapons have zero issues fighting anything because they have a shield, Lance and Gunlance are the second and third easiest weapons to use behind Gunner stuff.
Shields are inferior to the naruto levels of dodging and countering and mobility other weapons have because they also do more damage and do said damage faster

That has to do with monster hunter devs being abysmal at balancing videogames and nothing to do with shield gameplay. Shields do what they have pretty much always done and what they do is perfectly compatible with the monsters in Rise, they still make you invincible and allow you to ignore most of a monster's moveset.

By that logic there's zero point to any weapon that isn't LBG.
You can ignore most of a monster's moveset AND do more damage by playing anything with good mobility and better counters.
You're ignoring the point here. Lance and GL have mobility now and both have counters, that isn't a factor anymore. The reason to play shield weapons is because you enjoy playing them. If you only want the best DPS then just play LBG which is legitimately completely impossible to cart with and deals the highest DPS at the same time, but you probably don't because you enjoy a specific moveset.

SnS and IG seem to um.. technical for me. Ironic since CB has like 1000 buttons to press. I played it for the first 75% of Iceborne, but that was a long time ago, so I don't remember much other than charging my shield and charging my sword.
CB isnt that complicated, takes a few hunts to figure out the flowchart.
literally all you have to do is learn the AED or SAED shortcuts. Load shells 2 gives you all 5 phials after just a dash/slide attack and a fully charged charge slash. morphing advance and evade window are crucial to using that garbage ass savage axe iteration in rise. you could block or guard point into an AED or SAED but its not very effective in master rank since monsters will almost certainly hit you during the wind up. its all up to your discretion if it will work or not.

Each rank has 2 different afflicted drops, so find the ones you hate the least.
But I really don't find afflicted quests as bad as other people are making them out to be. Shitmons have more damage and hp, but you're in end game gear now. And while you are rewarded for popping the pimples, you can always ignore them, dodge out of the explosion, then get back to hunting.

I can kind of get that they've lowballed everything just so they've got room to scale things up in TU. I think they were honestly a bit TOO generous with skills in base Rise so there isn't as much room to improve as say base World to eventually Fatalis.

espinas is extremely simple compared to some of the frontier monsters. they genuinely go overboard with some of them
Espinas has been the "Rathalos" of Frontier since his debut, so he's going to be simple given the entirety until Frontier Z is just Gen 2 on crack.
Earlier monsters until around maybe Season 5 could be suitable for mainline, likely using its Flagship as a testing ground for fittingness and player feedback before seeing how far they can go.

Because Espinas was the first monster that was completely original to Frontier and so came before the designs diverged into insanely ugly monstrosities and the fights became total clusterfricks.

Depending on who you ask hammer seems either the shittiest weapon or the best. I've just arrived in high rank and to be honest I still think timings are too thight for certain monsters and elemental/status seem useless but it feels great to bonk hard headed monsters
People who absolutely love the hammer say it's the best just because they think it's fun. Everyone else will say it's one of the worst, if not the worst. As far as I know elemental/status is actually not useless now with courage mode buffs and the charge skill but it still seems to be at the bottom of every tier list.
After World and Rise I feel like finally trying the classics. Should I start with 4U or something else?

If you want to experience the old guard MH games, just get and play GU. If you don't have a Switch, emulate it on Citra.
If you play GU you're going to experience a lot of the old maps, almost all of the monsters, and yes, even the broken hit boxes, dropped inputs, pixelated visuals... the whole lot.

World and Rise are MASSIVE improvements to the franchise. Without them, the game would have died years ago. For the first time, MH really feels good with SB. I'm not getting filtered by 1 star MR monsters while wearing the highest level HR gear (as was the case with 3U on). Capcom really did a GREAT job with the transition from HR to MR this time.
You see, in the past, the transition from LR to HR was pretty smooth and you could grind your way to getting powerful enough to make that transition. But, the jump from HR to G rank was fricking moronic. The monsters went from 0 to 1000. It was ridiculous.
In SB there is a smooth transition. I'm glad Capcom made that adjustment. You could even argue it might have been a little too smooth, as you can almost wear your HR gear all the way through MR. That's a different discussion though.

I completely agree with you anon. I've been playing since MH on PS2. Remember going into the store and buying it just cause Rathalos looked cool on the cover. While there are things I miss about the older games, at the end of the day it mainly comes down to missing monsters. Which can always be rectified in future titles or updates. I have complaints about each and every game in the series, but I still love them, and I don't particularly hold one over another beyond just liking the monsters more. While I think it can be fun to go back to older titles even before GU, I agree in the idea of GU being the perfect way to experience the old and getting the best of both worlds sorta deal.
