I think the game looks bretty gud but the sameface really is fricking strong in this game. I don't know exactly what it is, but all the Asian dudes and chicks they got for this just look really fricking similar. It's not just racism since they absolutely didn't have this issue in MK11. I don't know if maybe it's just because the got a bunch of people of the same level of attractiveness and age or what.
Also, the fact that Liu Kang made everyone important Asian in his New Era is kinda fricking hilarious. I'm sure it was unintentional and obviously everyone in Sindel's family looking both Asian and similar makes sense (and it seems like they're kind of going with Edenians being largely Asian looking, which I'm find with) but just making the change in the same game where an Asian character becomes an Elder God and makes his mentor into an Asian dude is really funny.
Really, they should have stuck with umk3-mk4 era gameplay, with set dial a combos, aggressive and fast paced battles
Transition to 3D should have kept the comic inspired art style too

This is definitely the first Takeda and not not Takeda Takahashi, in case you didn't know in the old universe the guy who founded the shirai ryu was also called Takeda.
Everything about mk1 looks slow and boring. Kameos are several second long identical animations of a single punch. I’m not expecting dragon ball spectacles but it’s like two different games when you look at normals vs specials.
